A line in the sand: Let’s be honest about the Bondi Beach blood bath

AS WITH every instance of Islamic terrorism in a Western nation, we all talk about it. The politicians and leaders around the world offer their ritual expressions of shock and horror. Platitudes are uttered, heads are bowed, candles are lit.

And, of course, nothing changes.

Nothing changes in policy. Nothing changes in the solutions offered. And nothing changes in the rinse-and-repeat pattern of Islamic terrorism followed by brief platitudes followed by more Islamic terrorism.

Retarded: Doug Ford Wants To Build Casino Hotels In Niagara Falls For Homeless Fake Asylum Seekers

Doug Ford wants more casinos in Niagara Falls — but does anyone else?

Premier Doug Ford’s big bet on “more casinos” for Niagara Falls may not pay off.

Ford unveiled a new economic development scheme this week to boost tourism in Ontario, including new gambling houses in the honeymoon capital, in a bid to double the number of annual visitors at wineries, restaurants and other attractions in Niagara Region.

“I’m thrilled to announce our government’s ‘Destination Niagara strategy,’ a multibillion-dollar plan to build new world class attractions, elevate Niagara’s casino and gaming experience — meaning we want more casinos, big, large casinos to come here,” the premier enthused Monday in the Falls.

The Religion of the Strong Horse

The world’s major religions needs a better answer to Islam.

“When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse,” Osama bin Laden said at the beginning of his talk taking credit for the 9/11 attacks.

The line launched a thousand geopolitical analyses, was quoted by Thomas Friedman in the New York Times and was pored over endlessly by experts who completely missed the point.

Osama bin Laden was not talking about great powers or nations, he was talking about Islam.

I bet Carney will buy ’em

The Ajax tank scandal shames the British Army

By any normal logic, the FillYourBoots forum should never have become a problem for the Ministry of Defence (MoD). The Facebook page started as little more than a digital gossip corner: a place where soldiers shared banter, memes and humour too dark, too sharp and too truthful for civilian audiences. It was the army in its most unfiltered form. Harmless, rowdy, even charming.

Did Manchester residents CELEBRATE Bondi terror attack? Police investigate claims and say that ‘the intolerable has become normalised’

One of the UK’s largest police forces is investigating after reports people openly celebrated the mass shooting in Sydney on Sunday which killed 15 people.

Sir Stephen Watson, chief constable of Greater Manchester Police, also said schoolgirls have been phoning police asking for armed officers to accompany them to Hanukkah parties in the wake of the Bondi massacre.

It came as GMP and the Metropolitan Police launched a joint crackdown on pro-Palestinian protesters making anti-Semitic chants such as ‘Globalise the intifada’.

Christmas Markets Under Attack

As Christmas approaches, we should celebrate the resilience of normal people and defend a tradition that has become so important to millions.

You love life, we love death”—a phrase the French scholar Olivier Roy attributes to radical Islamists. Its relevance is starkly visible in the ongoing threats to Germany’s Christmas markets.

The toll of the two biggest attacks on such markets—Berlin in 2016 and Magdeburg last year—is devastating: 19 people killed and over 200 severely injured. The ongoing threat was underscored last week when authorities announced the arrest of five men—three Moroccans, an Egyptian, and a Syrian—in Bavaria for planning an Islamist-motivated vehicle-ramming attack on a Christmas market in the Dingolfing-Landau area. On the same day, the public learned that a 21-year-old from Central Asia was also arrested for planning a similar attack. These arrests follow many others throughout recent years.

SLOBODIAN: Anointed, ungrateful, gone — how turncoat MP Michael Ma stabbed Conservatives in the back

Turncoat MP Michael Ma was gifted the Conservative candidate nomination for Markham-Unionville.

He wasn’t burdened with having to demonstrate loyalty by going through the gruelling task of selling hundreds or thousands of memberships. He was spared canvassing in sweltering heat and bitter cold and the discomfort of facing rude Liberal or NDP voters while door-knocking.

Brendan O’Neill: Islamic extremism is a threat. Islamophobia is a racket

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese spoke a total of 5,022 words in the day after the slaughter of Jews at Bondi Beach. And not one of those words was “Islam.” Or “Muslim.” Or even “Islamic extremism.”

He did talk about the “far right” though. Twice. We need to tackle “the rise of right-wing extremist groups,” he said.

What an odd thing to focus on the day after a father-and-son Islamofascist outfit had mown down 15 innocents, all while proudly displaying the black flag of ISIS.

It Seems Biden’s FBI Hid Stats Showing Armed Civilians Stopped Criminal Shooters

Democrats want our guns, and they want to repeal the Second Amendment. They’ve been very clear about their agenda for quite some time now. Unfortunately for them, jurisprudence and good, old-fashioned American stubbornness are not on their side. Americans own hundreds of millions of firearms, ranging from handguns to various rifles.

Trump just like Hitler says Munk-ey boy

Trump’s mass deportation policy is taking American democracy with it

In certain ways, this fall in the United States has recalled the fall of 1938 in Nazi Germany, when mass deportations of undocumented people was one of Adolf Hitler’s most ambitious coercive policies before the start of the Second World War. In the U.S., too, the connection between domestic repression and foreign aggression is coming into focus.

That fall, the German police and SS rounded up 17,000 Jews with Polish citizenship and dumped them across the border. This set off a chain of events that provides a useful perspective on where the U.S. is now. A family was deported; a desperate refugee took revenge; the government organized a pogrom and reorganized its police; war followed.

Good Lord. The Munk-ey boys have jumped the shark, one too many circle-jerks I reckon.

Terry Newman: In Montreal, the ‘pro-Palestinian’ crowd wages a war on Christmas

MONTREAL — Montreal for Palestine stopped by the city’s downtown Christmas market on Sunday to harass and intimidate its patrons — on the same day that an antisemitic terrorist attack took place in Australia.

On Sunday, Montrealers woke to news of a mass shooting that targeted a Hanukkah event on Australia’s Bondi Beach. Two men — a father and son — opened fire on the crowd, killing 15 and injuring about 40. Those killed ranged in age from 10 to 87 and included two rabbis, a 10-year-old girl and a Holocaust survivor.
