Citizens are fed up with Dem-invited migrants that have disdain for US law and culture

It is hard now even for Democrats to defend illegal immigration, given that the Biden administration allowed in more than 10 million entrants. Among them were an estimated 500,000 criminals. No one believes that was wise or should ever be repeated.

Worse, the message went out that there would be few, if any, deportations and no real ICE kinetic activity beyond the border.

The world’s poor, sick, both law-abiding and criminal, young and old, understood that anyone could now enter the US at will. Deterrence and legality were lost.

Festung Ottawa: DND scrambles to figure out how to mobilize and equip a citizens’ army

The Department of National Defence is scrambling to figure out how it will clothe, equip and train hundreds of thousands of new reservists envisioned under an ambitious mobilization proposal that Canada’s top military commander describes as a work in progress.

Similarly, in what may be an ominous sign of the times, the department has established a key position dedicated solely to growing the military in the event of a major crisis.

Internal documents obtained by CBC News show the military buildup will, at the moment, proceed slowly because the defence industry is either overwhelmed — or not equipped for the ramp-up.

I suspect the real reason for Ottawa arming it’s loyal Elbow People is the anticipated need to put down a citizen revolt.

People are fed up with seeing Canada destroyed by 3rd World immigration and DEI never mind the blatant corruption of the carpet-bagging Carney government.

Ukraine’s exhausted troops fear US-brokered betrayal in Donbas

As soldiers face endless Russian pressure, the prospect of dying to defend land that could be given away at the peace table is damaging morale

The explosion reverberated through the city streets as another drone hit, drowning out staccato bursts of anti-aircraft fire. The Ukrainian troops defending Kramatorsk barely batted an eyelid.

The largest Ukrainian-held city in the Donbas, Kramatorsk is at the heart of the country’s “fortress belt” — probably its strongest defensive line. A series of heavy fortifications run 30 miles down the H20 highway and around four large cities, Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka and Kostyantynivka, as well as several smaller towns.

For 11 years, President Putin has tried and failed to take these cities by force. First through hybrid warfare in 2014, then the full-scale invasion of 2022. The Institute for the Study of War, a Washington-based military think tank, estimates it would still take Russian troops another “several years” to do so. Yet now President Trump wants to hand it to him as part of a US-brokered peace deal that would force Ukraine to surrender all its unoccupied territory in the Donbas.

Chow vows to speed up new $3.5B Finch West LRT after rider complaints

Just days after Toronto’s newest transit line opened, the mayor and the TTC are both stepping in to try to speed up the $3.5-billion light-rail line.

Chow told reporters Tuesday morning that she plans to introduce a motion at council next week to implement signal priority on the Finch West LRT line in a bid to hurry trains along the new transit corridor after riders’ complaints.

“The train is not as fast as it can be, absolutely,” Chow said. “So, I’m hearing the feedback … I am bringing an item to council asking for transit signal priority, removing speed caps where possible and increasing service frequency.”

I’m calling another Chow fail. h/t Patti Jo

Met Police’s ‘two-tier’ policing laid bare: How UKIP protesters had ‘stringent’ conditions imposed to protect Muslim community… but pro-Palestine protesters marched day after Manchester synagogue attack

The banning of a UKIP protest in a Muslim community while pro-Palestine marches were allowed to take place in the wake of the Manchester synagogue attack has laid bare allegations of two-tiered policing by the Met.

A damning report by the think tank Policy Exchange today claimed that the widely held perception the force treats protest groups differently was in fact a ‘reality’.

In one example cited, the force applied for ‘very stringent conditions’ on a UKIP march in Tower Hamlets on the grounds it had caused ‘significant concern’ among the Muslim community.

OLDCORN: Accountability, not politics — $34 million ‘questionable’ spending at Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations

Canadians were told to tighten our belts during COVID-19. Cancel trips. Skip funerals. Close small businesses. Trust the public health orders and trust the people moving “emergency” money.

Now we learn that a large share of pandemic funding routed through the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) is tagged as “questionable,” not because of politics, but because basic documents were missing.

That is not a culture war. It is a receipts war.

Inside the Fortified Sinaloa-Linked Compound Canada Still Can’t Seize After 12 Years of Legal War

VANCOUVER — A British Columbia government lawsuit seeks to merge almost a decade of litigation into a single, high-stakes test of whether the province can finally seize a fortified mansion near the U.S. border that was first swept up in a 2014 fentanyl investigation, raided in 2016, and is now at the center of a new synthetic-opioid case alleging its occupants contracted with the leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel to flood narcotics into Canada.

Hegseth: AI Autonomous Warfighting Systems Are The Future, And They’ll Be Made In America

OINT MUGU, CALIF. — Artificial intelligence-powered, autonomous, and unmanned warfighting systems are a major focus of the Trump administration’s new military build-up, likened the “arsenal of freedom” by War Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The Federalist traveled with Hegseth to California over the weekend where he delivered the keynote address outlining the forthcoming National Defense Strategy (NDS) at the Reagan National Defense Forum. But before he gave that speech, the secretary was briefed on the latest in military technological innovation and toured some industrial facilities.

This is not immigration

Once upon a time, there were two ways of coming to the U.S. One way was to apply for entry, wait your turn, fill out documents, not be a public charge, undergo a criminal background check and so on. It’s the way most people came in. The other way was to gain entry because you were a political refugee or were escaping communism. This is how I came in with my parents in the 1960s.
