Should You Be Able to Ask a Doctor to Help You Die?

Over the past five years, the practice of allowing a physician to help severely ill patients end their lives with medication has been legalized in nine countries on three continents. Courts or legislatures, or both, are considering legalization in a half-dozen more, including South Korea and South Africa, as well as eight of the 31 American states where it remains prohibited.

It is a last frontier in the expansion of individual autonomy. More people are seeking to define the terms of their deaths in the same way they have other aspects of their lives, such as marriage and childbearing. This is true even in Latin America, where conservative institutions such as the Roman Catholic church are still powerful.

Why are Christmas markets suddenly so dangerous?

AT THE end of last month a pro-Palestinian mob stormed the Brussels Christmas market on opening night, throwing smoke bombs and spewing hate-filled slogans. As families fled in panic, it was discovered the interlopers had decapitated a baby Jesus doll in the market’s nativity scene. The reactions of so-called ‘far right’ politicians such as Geert Wilders were widely covered by the mainstream press, but only through a GBNews clip shared on X and posts on private social media pages could a factual (unbiased) depiction of the incident be viewed.

The limited availability of truthful reporting about this story by corporate media outlets is almost as concerning as the incident itself.

When Diamonds Are Not Forever

After decades of growth driven by diamond mining, Canada’s Northwest Territories are facing the closure of three major mines and wondering: What’s next?

Canada’s Northwest Territories got lucky twice.

At the turn of the 20th century, an epic gold rush established the capital, Yellowknife, and brought development to the vast, sparsely populated region dominated by boreal forests and Arctic tundra.

Then a hundred years later, just as underground gold reserves in the ground were depleting, prospectors found diamonds.

The Territories, with a surface area more than three times that of California, became the world’s third-largest exporter of diamonds.

Now that era is coming to a messy end.

Trump UFO disclosure predicted to come in just DAYS after mysterious ‘insider’ tip

The odds of President Donald Trump revealing what he knows about alien life have suddenly skyrocketed, leading experts to believe full public disclosure is days away.

A wagering pool on Polymarket called ‘Trump declassifies UFO files in 2025?’ has mysteriously exploded with activity, rising to over $7million bet, shifting the odds from six percent ‘Yes’ on December 6 to a staggering 98 percent Tuesday morning.

Polymarket is a popular online prediction platform where people bet on the outcomes of real-world events, such as elections, sports, or even UFO sightings, using cryptocurrency, turning speculation into a crowd-sourced probability meter.

The Soft Return of Blasphemy Laws

A teacher has been sacked for reminding his pupils that Britain is a Christian country.

In modern Britain, even the mildest statement of reality can be enough to trigger a punitive pile-on. The Telegraph reported yesterday that a teacher was sacked, and very nearly banned from working with children, because he told his primary-school pupils that the UK was a Christian country.

The anonymous teacher found himself being referred to his local child-protection board and even at the centre of a police investigation after he told Muslim children off for washing their feet in the sinks of school bathrooms. According to one child who made a complaint against the teacher, he reminded the children that this was not a religious school, and that they were free to attend an Islamic school a mile away if they wanted to. He apparently also told them that Britain is still a Christian state and pointed out that the King was head of the Church of England. This was followed up in the classroom by a lesson about the importance of British values and tolerance.

Ottawa has at minimum 577 federal diversity staffers dedicated to hating Whitey as departments report millions spent on DEI programs

The federal government assigned at least 577 employees to diversity, equity and inclusion programs last year, according to newly released records — though cabinet admitted the real number is higher because several major departments refused to report their staffing totals.

Blacklock’s Reporter says the figures were disclosed in an Inquiry Of Ministry prompted by Conservative MP Vincent Ho, who asked how many full-time equivalents were dedicated to DEI-related roles.

Accused B.C. extortionist was allegedly in Canada on expired student visa

A man charged in two high-profile B.C. extortion incidents was living in Canada on an expired student visa at the time of his alleged crimes, according to court records.

The 24-year-old — whose student visa expired in April 2024 — is currently believed to be in India.

Trump calls Europe ‘decaying’ group of nations with weak leaders

US president singles out London, saying it is now a ‘different place’ and referring to mayor Sadiq Khan as ‘vicious and disgusting’

President Trump has condemned European leaders as “weak” in a wide-ranging attack that criticised the “decaying” group of nations for being too politically correct and failing to control immigration.

“Europe doesn’t know what to do,” Trump said in an interview with Politico. “They want to be politically correct, and it makes them weak. That’s what makes them weak.”

The president also criticised European leaders for failing to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, saying: “They talk but they don’t produce. And the war just keeps going on and on. I mean, four years now it’s been going on, long before I got here.”

Adam Pankratz: B.C.’s reconciliation nightmare gets even worse

It has been clear for some months now that David Eby and the B.C. NDP’s approach to Indigenous reconciliation would have ruinous consequences for British Columbia’s economy. Last Friday, the situation got even worse, as a new court ruling poured more cold water on economic activity in the province and opened the door to every B.C. law being subject to interpretation through a United Nations human rights document. The implications for British Columbia could not be much more dire.
