So it goes with the Los Angeles Times exposé of an e-mail exchange between members of the scandal-filled Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which is that tiny longstanding group of press characters who award the Golden Globes.
One of them, a former eight-time president of guild, Philip Berk, sent out an expose to the group of a Frontline Magazine piece exposing the Hollywood money-making of Black Lives Matter elites.

The Democrats ought to be celebrating the three guilty verdicts the jury handed down in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin Tuesday. Chauvin faced three serious charges in the death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, and was found guilty on all three. Two of the charges are degrees of murder.
The US State Department has announced plans to expand its “Level 4: Do Not Travel” guidance to about 80% of countries worldwide, citing the “unprecedented risk to travelers” from the coronavirus.
The US already had 34 countries, including Chad, Kosovo, Kenya, Argentina, Russia and Tanzania on the Level 4 warning. About 130 more will be added now.

Everyone is piling on Ford. I’m not a fan but the real culprit in this mess is Justin Trudeau and his cronies.
Ford has been brutal in his use of lockdowns, they could have been much more selective had the lessons of the first lockdown been learned. The focus should have switched to isolating and protecting the most vulnerable, our elderly. Allowing large scale infection prone employers to operate while small businesses were shuttered was clueless.
My Mother died of Covid she contracted in a hospital in March never having been offered a vaccine. Unconscionable.
Justin on the other hand screwed the entire nation over by taking direction from Beijing and completely bungling the vaccine file.
…Hazel Bryant told The Dispatch that she is the aunt of the 15-year-old girl who was shot. The girl lived in a foster home there on Legion Lane and got into an altercation with someone else at the home, she said.
Bryant said her niece had a knife, but maintained that the girl dropped the knife before she was shot multiple times by a police officer.
Protesters with Black Lives Matter signs, megaphones and a loudspeaker joined the crowd gathered behind crime scene tape about a half-block away from the shooting scene.
“We don’t get to celebrate nothing,” K.C. Taynor said through a megaphone of the Chauvin verdict. “…In the end, you know what, you can’t be Black.”
Kiar Yakita of the Black Liberation Movement, said she is not surprised that another police shooting happened. “Why did they kill this baby?” she asked aloud.
Hana Abdur-Rahim, with the Black Abolitionists Collective, said, “We are in a literal genocide. We are fighting for our lives.”

Apparently the promised $100 billion in stimulus infrastructure spending wasn’t enough for the federal Liberal government.
Despite warnings by numerous economists, think tanks and even Canada’s Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO), Chrystia Freeland’s first federal budget, released Monday, promises an extra $101.4 billion on infrastructure spending over three years and that poses a grave risk to Canada’s fiscal health by massively increasing our debt and by pumping too much printed money into the economy.

Jim Steinman, the colourful composer behind hits like Bat Out Of Hell and Total Eclipse Of The Heart, has died at the age of 73.
His brother Bill told the Associated Press that the songwriter and producer had died of kidney failure on Monday after being ill for some time.
I was in high-school. Bat Out Of Hell was the best album ever. We probably listened to it about 50 times during a drunken all weekend party when my friends folks were out of town. Yea on reflection that is a little embarrassing, but it still brings a smile.
On March 29, just after 2:30 AM, Chicago’s ShotSpotter alert system detected eight or nine gunshots in the West Side, largely Latino, neighborhood of Little Village, where gangs like the Latin Kings and Two Six have made gunplay a regular part of life. Chicago police officer Eric Stillman and his partner sped toward the gunshots once they received the ShotSpotter alert, doubtless hoping to nab the perpetrators and spare the community additional carnage. When they arrived on the scene, almost immediately after those shots were fired, they happened upon two individuals. One of them—who we now know to be 13-year-old Adam Toledo—took off on foot and, at one point, pulled a gun with his right hand. Stillman gave chase, and the world saw what happened next—at least the part highlighted (and, in one case, deceptively edited) by media outlets, many of which elided the actual events of Toledo’s shooting.
