Mark Carney’s Pseudo-Faith-Based War on CO2

The Canadian prime minister invokes the language of faith to silence critics of Net Zero policies.

Tariffs delivered a big blow to Canada’s economy this year, but they would be less of a problem if Canada weren’t squandering billions of dollars on Net Zero, which will not stop climate change.

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Budget 2025 passed first reading on Nov. 18 by a vote of 170-168, which spared Canadians a snap election. The second reading is in progress, and as of Nov. 28, the third reading had not yet been scheduled.

Feds to reduce housing spending by half, build only 26,000 homes: Budget watchdog

Spending on housing programs will decline by more than half over the next four years with the federal government’s $13-billion signature housing initiative leading to the construction of just 26,000 new homes, a new parliamentary budget officer (PBO) report says.

The budget watchdog’s report specifically looks at Prime Minister Mark Carney’s new housing agency, Build Canada Homes, and how it and other programs will contribute to the construction of new homes between now and 2029-30.

The report concludes that the $9.8 billion the federal government is spending on housing initiatives in 2025-26 will decline to just $4.3 billion annually by 2028-29, a drop of 56 per cent.

Tim Walz, bagman for Somalia

A billion-dollar scandal in Minnesota has solved the puzzle of why Kamala Harris picked Tim Walz as her running mate. It wasn’t because she was drunk (although she was). It wasn’t because he is the only national politician who is dumber than she (although he is). It wasn’t because he is a Chairman Xi-approved communist (although he is).

Follow the money.

British Man Arrested for Picture of Him Shooting Shotgun

There are some things that are so heinous that you can be arrested for in your home country, despite it happening in a different nation. Crimes against children, for example, are a prime example. Go to another country to do something like that, and I don’t care where it was, you deserve the wood chipper here in the United States.

But most of those things fall into the category of things that aren’t really legal much of anywhere in the first place.

RCMP restricts use of its Chinese-made drones — the vast majority of its fleet

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is limiting the use of its 973 Chinese-made drones to non-sensitive operations, stating the devices present “high security risks, primarily due to their country of origin.”

Chinese drones make up about 80 per cent of the federal police force’s fleet of 1,230 remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS), which are used to monitor the Canada-U.S. border and in various police operations.

Why More Hispanics Are Identifying as White

Latin American immigrants and their descendants are assimilating to the majority culture.

The 2024 presidential election confirmed a political phenomenon that has been building for years: Hispanics are no longer a reliable Democratic constituency. Donald Trump won 48 percent of the Hispanic vote, just three points shy of Kamala Harris’s share. Perhaps even more striking, he carried 51 percent of foreign-born, naturalized Hispanic immigrants—a direct rebuke to the assumption that immigrants instinctively side with the Left.

May says voting for budget was ‘mistake’ and it won’t happen again

OTTAWA — Green Party leader Elizabeth May says supporting the Carney government on the budget vote is a “mistake” she won’t make again.

May told The Canadian Press the memorandum of understanding Prime Minister Mark Carney signed with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith on energy — specifically the part that applies federal tax credits to enhanced oil recovery — amounted to a “significant betrayal and a reversal” which has her questioning the worth of Carney’s word.

“I don’t know if the prime minister lied but I think he needs to consider what his word means when his word was given,” she said.

Devastating toxic spill seen as test of whether African countries will stand up to China

Even before the dam collapsed, Lamec did not feel safe working at the copper mine.

“If our work protective gear gets damaged, it is not always replaced,” he tells us. “We have to take a risk and use it again.”

He is talking to the BBC in a car on a quiet backroad near a village in northern Zambia, too nervous to speak to us in public or to use his real name, for fear that speaking to the press might cost him his livelihood.
