DOBBIE: How much is a trillion dollars?

After living high off the hog since the 70’s, Canadians as a community have become fatter, lazier, less independently minded and more and more willing to believe in fairy tales. Our people will love you as long as you tell them what they want to hear. I am not talking about the “great unwashed” as the so-called “lower classes” used to be called. I am speaking about well-educated, reasonably intelligent people who have the capacity to understand more, but who are unwilling to invest in the mental effort.

The jihadi mastermind who fled MI5 to bring Isis back from the dead

When word came from the interrogation room that a captured Isis fighter had divulged the location of Abdul Qadir Mumin’s hideout in a cave high in the arid mountains of northern Somalia, it was only a matter of hours before US jets were in the sky and raining down missiles.

The soldiers who went to inspect the wreckage found a number of charred corpses, but none of them were Mumin’s. Once again, the man believed to be Islamic State’s global leader, had slipped through their fingers.

Captain Omar Yusuf Mohamed, 40, is an officer in the Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF), which has been fighting an international cadre of militants in a brutal war to decapitate the terror group. “The day we kill Mumin will be the happiest day of my life,” he said. “He’s like a virus that has come here and infected our land with his ideology of hatred, and brought death and suffering to our people.”

Kristi Noem claims suspect in national guard shooting was ‘radicalized’ in US

Rahmanullah Lakanwal Muslim Terrorist

Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, claimed on Sunday that the suspect in the national guard shooting in Washington DC was “radicalized” in the US and blamed the Biden administration, though the suspect’s asylum was approved under Donald Trump.

The shooting suspect, 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, was granted asylum under the Trump administration in April 2025. He worked with CIA backed units in Afghanistan, coming to the US in September 2021 under an Operation Allies Welcome program.

“We believe he was radicalized since he’s been here in this country,” Noem said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “We do believe it was through connections in his home community and state, and we’re going to continue to talk to those who interacted with him, who were his family members, who talk to them.”

Environment minister disputes Guilbeault’s claim that Canada is cutting climate policies

Environment and Climate Change Minister Julie Dabrusin is pushing back against claims from Steven Guilbeault, who resigned from cabinet this week over Ottawa’s memorandum of understanding with Alberta and said Canada is dismantling several pieces of its climate plan.

“I really respectfully disagree with [Guilbeault] on his characterization of this memorandum of understanding,” Dabrusin said in an interview on CBC’s Rosemary Barton Live. “I don’t see it as backsliding, and I don’t see it as cancelling programs.”

Brussels Sparks Outrage with Faceless, “Inclusive” Nativity Scene

The installation raised next to the Christmas tree that adorns Brussels’ Grand-Place this year, titled “Fabrics of the Nativity,” has drawn criticism. While it includes the traditional figures of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus, it replaces classic sacred imagery with life-size dolls dressed in recycled textiles. The figures have no faces, only patchwork patterns in beige and brown. According to organizers, this was meant to create “an inclusive mix of skin tones.” Critics argue it strips the nativity of its spiritual meaning and turns it into a political statement.

Alberta to Bar Police From Enforcing Federal Gun Buyback

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says her government will table a motion next week under the Alberta Sovereignty Act that would instruct all provincial entities to refuse to enforce or prosecute matters under the federal gun buyback program.

Smith made the comments on Nov. 29 during a keynote address at her United Conservative Party’s annual convention, where she outlined her government’s priorities and next steps. She said the proposed motion would apply to all provincial entities, including municipalities and law-enforcement agencies, and would include provisions to prevent them from prosecuting Albertans “defending their homes and families from intruders.”

Carney government leans on ‘rounding difference’ to claim NATO spending target

The Carney government may meet its NATO defence promise this year only by relying on a “rounding difference,” according to the Parliamentary Budget Office, raising fresh doubts about Ottawa’s claims it is hitting key military spending goals.

Appearing before the Senate national finance committee, Interim Budget Officer Jason Jacques said Canada is only “close” to the NATO benchmark of spending 2% of GDP on defence by December 31 — a target Prime Minister Mark Carney has repeatedly touted as a done deal.

Trump’s ‘Third World’ immigration pause is common sense

A day after two National Guard soldiers were shot, one fatally, in a “barbaric terrorist attack” in Washington, DC, President Trump declared that the United States will “permanently pause migration from all Third World countries”. The announcement landed just days after the US State Department issued an unprecedented statement, explaining that “mass migration poses an existential threat to Western civilization and undermines the stability of key American allies.”

The problem with Islam is the violence at its heart

BRITISH people, according to polls and to ‘lived experience’, have a problem with Islam. That is not a ‘hate crime’, and we must be allowed to talk about it.

The problem is that Islam is both unregenerate and inherently resistant to regeneration. Other religions evolve, while maintaining their essence, as ‘time makes ancient good uncouth’. Islam does not do this. It cannot do this; or rather, it cannot do this without denying its foundational selling point: that the Koran is, quite literally, the word of God.
