LILLEY: Time to end foreign flag-raising ceremonies at city halls across Canada

Calgary Mayor Jeromy Farkas has an idea that should be adopted at city halls across the country — end the practice of raising flags of other countries. It’s one thing for the federal government in Ottawa to follow protocol and fly the flag of a visiting foreign dignitary; that’s accepted and expected.

Our politicians are too often scumbags.

How the ADL Failed the Jewish Community

Even as Zohran Mamdani poses a threat to New York’s Jews, groups like the Anti-Defamation League helped make his victory possible.

New Yorkers have elected Zohran Mamdani as their next mayor. His victory raises several questions, but for Jewish New Yorkers, one in particular: What did local and national Jewish organizations do to try to stop a man with Mamdani’s views from rising?

Almost nothing, it turns out. Indeed, the Anti-Defamation League and other well-heeled Jewish groups helped to make a candidate like Mamdani possible in myriad almost comically stupid ways, from designing anti-anti-Semitism curricula that actually made people considerably more likely to resent Jews to insisting on embracing politicians who despised them while giving the cold shoulder to those who stepped up to protect their interests.

The ADL devolved into an extreme left anti-White hate group.

Americans deserve answers about Thomas Crooks and why he tried to assassinate Trump: Karoline Leavitt

The American people deserve answers about what drove Thomas Crooks to attempt to assassinate President Trump, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told The Post — after a damning report emerged suggesting the gunman left a trail of digital clues the FBI did not previously share with the public.

“Those questions are definitely deserving of answers and I understand why the public wants those answers, and I believe the president does too,” Leavitt recently told Miranda Devine on Pod Force One.

Coming Soon: Milk Produced in a Lab Without a Cow in Sight

‘It’s identical in taste, requires a fraction of the resources and is 100 percent cruelty-free,’ the company says.

Shoppers could soon see a new type of milk in their local supermarkets, one that promises the taste and texture of dairy without involving a single cow.

Food-tech startup Remilk has announced it will begin selling its lab-produced milk products early next year, marking a significant step into the consumer market for the animal-free dairy industry.

The cartel will be angry!

Canadian snowbirds say U.S. politics are ruffling feathers and changing their migration patterns

The sunny weather. The beach views. The relaxed lifestyle. These are the things that drew Jo-Ann Rowe to South Florida.

When the Toronto woman retired 10 years ago, she started spending her winters in Fort Lauderdale, renting a condo for three months. Being in the United States was familiar for Rowe, whose grandmother was American, and because she’d travelled throughout the U.S. as a young athlete.

A Chinese firm bought an insurer for CIA agents – part of Beijing’s trillion dollar spending spree

Since 2018, the United States has been tightening its laws to prevent its rivals from buying into its sensitive sectors – blocking investments in everything from semiconductors to telecommunications.

But the rules weren’t always so strict.

In 2016, Jeff Stein, a veteran journalist covering the US intelligence community, got a tip-off: a small insurance company that specialised in selling liability insurance to FBI and CIA agents had been sold to a Chinese entity.

‘Peril’ and ‘Chinatown’: New Epstein Records Tie U.S. Power Brokers to Beijing-Linked Elites

WASHINGTON — Newly released documents from the Jeffrey Epstein estate show the convicted sex offender operating far closer to the heart of China’s political and financial power structures than previously understood — advising former U.S. Treasury secretary Lawrence Summers on a sexual pursuit involving an elite Chinese Communist Party family, and privately warning Steve Bannon to stay “safe” in his dealings with exiled Chinese billionaire Miles Guo, who has since been convicted in a U.S. fraud case involving more than $1 billion.

Some Call It Liberation, but in Reality It Is Degeneracy

No doubt there is a wider range of sexual norms that are compatible with thriving civilizations than those that are prescribed in Judeo-Christian culture.

If we could trust social scientists not to be completely infected with ideology, it would be an interesting area of study. And, to be fair, I am not familiar with the literature, and I am certain that there are some interesting works out there that would be worth looking at and comparing if I were curious enough to explore the topic. But honestly, I am not.

Baby Formula is one of the most stolen food products in Canada

Cassandra Shedden has sometimes had to rummage around her home, looking for things to hawk, just to pay for baby formula.

The 33-year-old mother of three in Thunder Bay, Ont., describes the price of formula today as “gross.”

According to Statistics Canada, formula prices have climbed nearly 84 per cent since 2017 and about 30 per cent in just the last two years.

I wonder if this has anything to do with it. As I recall this is the only Baby Formula producer in Canada.

A winning formula? China invests in Canadian dairy to help feed its baby boom

Donald Trump called Canada’s supply-managed dairy sector a “disgrace.”

Indeed, Canada’s strict system of production quotas, import restrictions and price and quality controls is a perennial target for free traders.

But guess who likes it? The biggest market Canada is wooing right now: China.

Supply management is a big reason why a Chinese corporation is investing an unprecedented $225 million in eastern Ontario. Feihe International, Inc. wants cows. Goats, too. Lots of them.

As ‘golden toilet’ corruption scheme rocks Ukraine, support for Zelensky falls below 20%

After Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s close associate, Timur Mindich, fled to Israel after allegedly masterminding a €100 million corruption scheme, it appears the Ukrainian public is turning on their leader — at least according to polls cited by a Ukrainian member of parliament.

“According to the polls I’ve seen, Zelensky’s popularity has fallen below 20 percent,” said Ukrainian parliament member Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

Mark Carney’s budget drama revealed weaknesses in every party

Well, that’s settled. Mark Carney’s first budget has passed, the Liberal government lives to fight another day and everyone can feel relief that Canada isn’t getting a Christmas election.

But is that relief earned, or justified?

The way in which this budget just barely made it highlights a House of Commons with some unity issues among all the federal parties — except the Greens, who only have one MP.

South Africa to refuse charter flights of Palestinians over fears of ‘cleansing agenda’

South Africa has said it does not want to receive any more chartered flights carrying Palestinians, days after the controversial arrival of 153 passengers from Gaza in the country.

Many aspects of their arrival remain unclear and disputed.

The flight was part of “a clear agenda to cleanse Palestinians out of Gaza and the West Bank”, Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola said on Monday.

The Israeli authorities have not responded to this allegation. However, they said that South Africa had previously agreed to receive the 153 Palestinians.

No one want’s em, least of all other Muslims.

Joe Adam George: Canada must be more vigilant, not less, about would-be immigrants with terror links

In a development that went largely unnoticed, Liberal MP Salma Zahid recently tabled a petition in the House of Commons urging the federal government to admit members of Jamaat-e-Islami — Bangladesh’s largest Islamist party. The petition noted that in the past, some members of Jamaat-e-Islami had been deemed inadmissible to Canada on security grounds. However, it argued that the group “has engaged in democratic processes and governance in Bangladesh” and that members seeking asylum in Canada are “law-abiding citizens who uphold democratic values.” It urged the government to ensure they receive “fair and just treatment.”

Better yet ban Muslims.

Are women-only carriages a good idea? France is fiercely split

Thousands signed a petition in favour of segregation after a Brazilian woman was attacked on a Paris commuter train — but opponents say it is gender apartheid

When a 26-year-old Brazilian train passenger recounted the trauma of an attempted rape on a Paris commuter line this autumn, a call for the introduction of women-only carriages won support.

More than 31,000 people have signed a petition in favour of the measure, which has already been adopted on public transport in countries such as Japan, India and Brazil. But the idea has provoked angry debate in a French society that has long viewed the creation of women-only areas, whether in sports clubs or swimming pools, as an affront to its — at least theoretical — ideal of equality.
