LILLEY: As Conservatives lose MP Matt Jeneroux, Canada’s finances burn

Sure, Fitch Ratings, a major international credit agency, has issued a warning about Canada’s out-of-control debt and spending, but let’s talk about the Conservative Party.

Official Ottawa is in an out-of-control frenzy, not due to the out-of-control spending of the Carney Liberal government but over the comings and goings of Conservative MPs.

Europe’s Race to Net-Zero – and Total Self-Destruction?

In 1992, global carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions stood at 22.3 billion metric tons. By 2024, they had reached a record high of 37.4 billion tons— an increase of nearly 68%.

Europe, by comparison, emitted 4 billion tons in 1992. By 2023, this figure had fallen to around 2.5 billion tons, a reduction of approximately 40% — on a global scale, a derisory amount.

KLEIN: Cancel Culture casts spell over common sense

Sometimes I read the news and wonder if we’ve all lost our footing. A few weeks ago, the Vancouver Park Board apologized to the 2SLGBTQ+ community for allowing a Harry Potter event in Stanley Park. The apology caught the attention of J.K. Rowling herself, who joked she hadn’t realized Vancouver had “avowed” her, so the disavowal wasn’t much of a blow.

This Trudeau minister kickstarted Canada’s immigration cuts. Here’s what he thinks about Carney’s new plan

Miller literally did that his 1st week on the job.

Whether people agree or disagree with Ottawa’s new immigration targets, the plan will help Canada regain control of the system, says the man who launched the mission to bring it back on track.

“It denotes stability, whether you like or not the important reforms that I put through in the last two years,” said Liberal MP and former immigration minister Marc Miller. Miller was tapped in 2023 by then prime minister Justin Trudeau to rein in rapid immigration growth amid a public outcry.

Most Canadians say Liberals falling short, but still approve of Carney: poll

OTTAWA — Most Canadians say Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government has fallen short on its campaign promises, even as his overall satisfaction and approval ratings edge upward, a new Postmedia-Leger poll finds.

“There’s a lot of things to like about Mr. Carney’s experience and credentials that people gravitated to during the election and hold true now,” said Leger executive vice-president Andrew Enns, in an interview.

WARMINGTON: All 330 ostriches at Universal Ostrich Farms have been culled, CFIA confirms

Just call it Slaughterhouse 330.

Only unlike Kurt Vonnegut’s classic 1969 novel Slaughterhouse-Five, this slaughter house at Universal Ostrich Farms was not an abandoned one used as a prisoner camp by the Nazis in the Second World War but a culling pen built with hay walls and platforms in 2025 on the very farm where some of these ostriches as old as 35 lived for years.

‘Our job is only killing’ – how Sudan’s brutal militia carried out a massacre

Fighters laugh as they ride on the back of a pick-up truck, speeding past a row of nine dead bodies and driving towards the setting Sudanese sun.

“Look at all this work. Look at this genocide,” one cheers.

He smiles as he turns the camera on himself and his fellow fighters, their Rapid Support Forces (RSF) badges on display: “They will all die like this.”

The men are celebrating a massacre that humanitarian officials fear killed more than 2,000 people in the Sudanese city of el-Fasher last month. On Monday, the International Criminal Court (ICC) said it was investigating whether the paramilitary may have committed “war crimes and crimes against humanity”.

No data exists on citizenship approved or denied due to criminal records

OTTAWA — Canada’s immigration bureaucracy has no data on how often Canadian citizenship was granted – or denied – to those with criminal records.

That revelation comes courtesy of a response to an order paper question filed in September by Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner asking how many citizenship applications have been received, approved or denied from those with criminal records.

UK Arrests Son of Senior Hamas Figure in Germany Terror Plot

A man has been arrested in the UK and faces extradition to Germany, where he is accused of playing a “key role” in a Hamas-linked terror cell planning attacks on Israeli and Jewish institutions. Three other men thought to be part of this group were arrested in Germany in September and are accused of procuring firearms and ammunition.

Britain’s ITV makes note of the rather important fact that the newly-arrested 39-year-old man “is the son of a senior Hamas official” in its fifth paragraph, describing him four times before this as “British.”

British Islamism is flexing its muscles more and more openly as it rises to power

If there has been a more shameful day in recent British history, I’m struggling to recall it tonight.

As unrest flared around the Aston Villa stadium, with pro-Israel protesters herded into a caged basketball court by police for their own safety, we witnessed nothing less than the forces of Islamism exerting a stranglehold on our police, our government and our country.

How must Sir Keir Starmer have felt after vowing to do all he could to reverse the ban on Maccabi Tel Aviv fans, only to have been humiliated at the hands of the mob? Last month, the Prime Minister declared that the chant “from the river to the sea” was unequivocally antisemitic. What would he say about “death, death to the IDF” as it rang off the pavements of Birmingham?

Behold the future …
