I reported on terrorists at the northern border. Then the threats came … from Canadian authorities

During the Biden administration, I was on the front lines reporting on the northern border crisis and national security threats. Then the threats came from Canadian officials.

As the border crisis worsened, I broke multiple exclusive stories that were published by the Center Square. They included the record number of gotaways illegally entering the United States based on data obtained from Border Patrol agents under a gag order, comparing illegal border crosser totals to state and country populations, reporting on each of the 55 Texas counties declaring an invasion, and multiple Operation Lone Star task force operations targeting smugglers.

AI Data Centers Are an Even Bigger Disaster Than Previously Thought

In August, the founder of hedge fund Praetorian Capital Harris “Kuppy” Kupperman penned an essay on the absurd finances behind AI data centers. While the tech industry has likened data centers — or more specifically, the expensive semiconductor chips that power them — as the “shovels” of the AI gold rush, Kupperman’s napkin math found that AI data centers have an impossibly short runway to achieve profitability.

In short, this is because data center components age rapidly, either made obsolete through rapid advances in technology, or broken down over years of constant, high-powered usage.

The Ridiculous No Kings Protest

Aging lefties waste a beautiful Saturday to pretend they are speaking truth to power.

It’s difficult to think of a more effective way to illustrate the moral and intellectual emptiness of the American left than to have them march around demanding an end to an institution our founding fathers abolished 250 years ago. This is how the official “No Kings” website described what happened on Saturday: “On October 18, more than seven million of us rose up at more than 2,700 events in all 50 states, DC, and cities worldwide to say: America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people.” These folks are a little late to the party, as Thomas Jefferson would probably point out were he still with us.

CHARLEBOIS: Trump’s beef with prices — and why Canada could get burned

Over the weekend, U.S. President Donald Trump promised Americans cheaper steaks by saying he’s ready to buy beef from Argentina. It was a classic populist flourish — short on economics, long on optics.

But beneath the campaign-style rhetoric lies a deeper story: How global beef politics are shifting, and how Canada could quietly become a price-taker in its own market.

The Implications of Hamas’s Public Executions and the World’s Silence

US President Donald Trump’s plan for ending the Hamas-Israel war states that “Gaza will be a de-radicalized terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbors.” His plan also stipulates that “Gaza will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza, who have suffered more than enough” and that “once all [Israeli] hostages are returned, Hamas members who commit to peaceful co-existence and to decommission their weapons will be given amnesty.”

Although Hamas has released the 20 living hostages and, since the announcement of Trump’s plan in early October, has handed over the bodies of some of the fallen, the Gaza Strip remains anything but a “de-radicalized terror-free zone.”

Canada’s costly EV scheme stalls out again

On Wednesday, laid-off employees at the Stellantis plant in Brampton, Ont., received a robocall delivering bad news: they had no jobs to go back to.

It was another stall on the road for Canada’s automotive strategy, which has seen federal and provincial governments dole out mounds of cash and add regulations and protective tariffs in a floundering attempt to create more jobs and build a state-of-the-art electric vehicle industry.

Is Canada at risk of being complicit in U.S. military crimes?

OTTAWA—For weeks now, the United States navy has been engaging and sinking small civilian vessels off the coast of Venezuela.

The result is a half-dozen Venezuelan boats sunk, and an estimated 20 people killed.

U.S. President Donald Trump and his Secretary of War Pete Hegseth claim these attacks are part of the American military’s new, more robust rules of engagement.

Let those Narco boats Go Uncle Sam!

Prince Andrew’s team ‘tried to hire internet trolls to harass sex accuser

Duke of York launched smear campaign to ‘cast doubt’ on Virginia Giuffre’s credibility, memoir reveals

Prince Andrew’s team tried to hire “internet trolls to hassle” Virginia Giuffre, her posthumous memoir has claimed.

In her book Nobody’s Girl, which was published on Tuesday, Giuffre also reveals details about behind-the-scenes negotiations during civil litigation ahead of the Prince’s scheduled deposition.

This eventually led to a settlement deal, which came after her lawyer read Andrew’s agreed statement to her at 2.30am “through tears, both hers and mine”.

Makeup Artists and More: DOGE Cuts Billions in Nonsense

Your taxpayer dollars and mine were paying for a special makeup artist at the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) — that is, until DOGE got involved.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) cut contracts with a ceiling value of around $17 billion altogether over the last three weeks. It seems as if the waste and fraud in our federal government is endless, and DOGE has to wade through an absolute mountain of corrupt insanity as it tries to restore fiscal responsibility to the government.

Amy Hamm: ICBC’s Indigenous hotline and driving tests do a disservice to reconciliation

If Canadians can find a single takeaway from this year’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, on Sept. 30, it’s that, rather than being a sombre day to reflect on historical injustices suffered by Indigenous-Canadians — because there were indeed many — it has instead become a war between those who are rightfully concerned with accuracy and truth, and those who have foolishly abandoned truth in favour of narrative and grievance peddling.
