This is why they never want to solve the homeless crisis …

Olivia Chow warns Toronto faces tax increase — or people on the streets — due to shelter funding cuts

The city of Toronto is now facing cuts to its shelter funding from the province, threatening another one of the municipality’s key funding sources to house homeless people.

According to a letter from Mayor Olivia Chow published Friday, the province recently informed the municipality it is reducing allocated funding for next year to almost $8 million, compared to $19.75 million the city received this year and $38 million it got in 2024.

No homeless means no money to funnel to her commie pals for pet projects employing fellow toxic commies.

How many of the Liberal party’s “asylum seekers” use shelters in TO – nearly 30% of the total.

It’s extortion.

Crown Blocks SNC-Lavalin Private Prosecution

It’s Monday morning in Canada, and the swamp is alive and well. After seven years of stonewalling, weak investigations, and political cover for one of the most explosive scandals in recent history, the Trudeau machine just got what looks like its final shield. Ontario Crown prosecutors quietly stepped in to shut down Democracy Watch’s private prosecution against Justin Trudeau over the SNC-Lavalin affair—yes, the same SNC that got caught bribing Libyan officials and then rebranded itself “AtkinsRéalis” as if a name change erases corruption.

Did Obama Falsify Climate Data?

A new report by the Lancet published August 3 reiterates what media repeats daily: plastics are causing diseases, dementia and death. But the article makes it obvious that it is not the manufacturing or use of plastics; it is the recycling. Their solution is more Green spending, not less. No reversal. Burying plastics is safe and easy but never discussed because it would save money. Big Green interests have made trillions of dollars browning the earth and they refuse to stop. When did worldwide panic and spending dramatically accelerate? Buried within these top 100 facts about the green energy carnage is a hidden and here-to-fore uncovered, egregious fraud.

Free Speech Under Attack in the U.K.

The country’s censorship regime is targeting ordinary Britons.

“Free speech is at the lowest ebb it has been in Britain since the eighteenth century,” the U.K. Free Speech Union’s founder and president Toby Young, recently ennobled, told me over lunch at the House of Lords last week. The Peers’ Dining Room was sedate—the average age in the upper house of Britain’s parliament is 70—but beyond the Palace of Westminster’s well-guarded gates, the United Kingdom is in crisis, especially in the realm of free expression. Since Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party returned to power last year, Young’s organization—which offers advocacy and representation for people facing consequences for their speech—has seen membership skyrocket. It’s risen from 14,000 in July 2024 to 35,000 now, he says, alongside a record number of requests for help.

The ruling class must fear rebellion and retribution for their traitorous crimes.

What else explains this attack on citizens?

Vivian Bercovici: Carney dives into the shark pool that is Palestinian diplomacy

When Hamas leaders send you successive thank-you notes, you are not on the right side of history.

The gratitude of an Islamist death cult, committed in its founding charter to “annihilate” Israel, along with all Jews and infidels, should not be a source of pride for anyone, let alone the prime minister of Canada. But Mark Carney seems unperturbed.

Thanks to the West’s ‘Useful Idiots,’ Iran’s Terror Proxies Celebrate Recognition of ‘Palestinian State’ by Moving Jihad to West Bank

As all eyes are fixed on the Hamas-Israel war in the Gaza Strip, the Iranian regime and its Palestinian terror proxies are working to move the fighting to the West Bank.

Recently, armed cells belonging to Iranian-backed Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) have escalated their terrorist attacks in the West Bank against Israeli soldiers and civilians. The Palestinian groups responsible for the death and destruction in the Gaza Strip over the past two years are even trying to fire rockets from the West Bank into the rest of Israel. The groups and their patrons in Tehran do not care if Palestinians in the West Bank are killed and displaced as a result of their terrorism. Iran’s mullahs and their Palestinian proxies have only one thing in mind: murdering Jews and eliminating Israel.

How Canada’s short-term thinking sparked a national housing crisis

OTTAWA — At just 32, Eddie has a six-figure salary from a major financial institution, stocks, and no debt, including his rental property that nets him more than $5,000 a month. He lives frugally and invests as much as he can.

Eddie wants to buy a house in Ottawa, as close as possible to his downtown job, and is willing to spend up to about $900,000.

His wish list seems pretty basic: a decent neighbourhood, a back yard, and at least three bedrooms to accommodate what he hopes will one day be a growing family.

The US navy killed 17 in deadly strikes. Now Venezuela is giving civilians guns

Maduro Volkssturm

When Edith Perales was younger, he enlisted in the National Bolivarian Militia, a civilian force created by the late President Hugo Chávez in 2009 to help defend Venezuela.

“We have to be a country capable of defending every last inch of our territory so no one comes to mess with us,” Chávez said at the time.

Sixteen years on, Perales, who is now 68, is joining thousands of other militia members getting ready for a potential US attack.

Netanyahu agrees to Trump plan for Gaza deal, but Hamas still a question

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed Monday to a deal to end the war in Gaza that was proposed by President Donald Trump, amid a fresh push by the White House to halt two years of bitter war. The step toward peace still requires agreement by Hamas.

Trump called it “a beautiful day, potentially one of the great days ever in civilization,” speaking alongside Netanyahu following hours of meetings at the White House. The deal, which the White House published Monday, foresees hostilities ceasing immediately and hostages being released within 72 hours of both sides agreeing to the deal.

“Today is a historic day for peace,” the president said, even as he acknowledged that Hamas had not yet agreed to the deal.

That’s a BIG IF.

Canada lists the Bishnoi gang as a terrorist entity

OTTAWA — In a major escalation of Canada’s response to transnational organized crime and geopolitically motivated diaspora violence, the federal government today designated the India-based Bishnoi gang, led by Lawrence Bishnoi, as a terrorist entity under Canada’s Criminal Code. The listing bars Canadians from financing or aiding the group and allows authorities to seize property and freeze accounts.

Canada lists the Bishnoi gang as a terrorist entity

Canada has listed India’s Bishnoi gang as a terrorist entity, allowing the federal government to seize property and freeze money owned by the group in the country.

The federal public safety minister announced the move on Monday, saying the gang created a climate of fear and intimidation in Canadian diaspora communities.

Last year, Canadian police alleged that agents of the Indian government were using Bishnoi members to carry out “homicides, extortion and violent acts” and target supporters of the pro-Khalistan movement.

Ontario’s premier has a habit of weighing in on criminal cases. Some lawyers say he should be more careful

When Doug Ford stood next to family members of Andrew Cristillo, the Ontario father who was killed in a head-on collision in August, the premier didn’t mince words.

“This wasn’t an accident, it was a murder,” said Ford, speaking to reporters on Sept. 5.

The accused, Jaiwin Victor Kirubananthan, is facing several charges, including dangerous driving causing death. He is not facing murder charges, and the charges against him have not yet been tested in court.
