They’re Poisoning Us—And They Know It

You don’t have to look far to realize something is deeply wrong in America. Our shelves are lined with food and products that 30 other countries have outright banned. Our children are overweight, medicated, emotionally dysregulated, and chronically ill. Our cancer rates are astronomical. And our government agencies—tasked with protecting public health—are in on it.

Let’s stop pretending this is accidental. It’s not.

Andrew MacDougall: Probational Poilievre is caught between a rock and a hard place

Finally re-elected, the Tory leader should prioritize holding the underperforming Liberal government to account over pandering to his base.

He’s back.

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is done serving his time in the sin bin and is once again a Member of Parliament, albeit this time in Battle River-Crowfoot instead of Carleton. Upon first glance, not much appears to have changed.

Always punchy, Poilievre has resumed his aggressive tone on social media, chucking up a series of posts attacking Prime Minister Mark Carney and his Liberal government on issues like crime, firearms, foreign investment, Chinese ferry contracts, food prices, and a B.C. nurse who was fined an outrageous $93,000 by the province’s College of Nurses and Midwives over her views on gender, with the last issue also earning some retweets of comments made by his caucus colleagues.

Freaks Unleashed: Fired ‘Mainstream’ Journalists Prove They Never Belonged on Television

Joy Reid Lunatic Racist

It’s been a rough few years for deranged left-wing hacks masquerading as “mainstream” or even “relatively sane liberal” journalists. In an effort to recapture a modicum of respectability, failing media outlets such as CNN and MSNBC have sought to purge their ranks of mindless partisans who seem incapable of forming an original thought that doesn’t involve Donald Trump and the word “fascist.” Time will tell if cutting these freaks loose will be enough to save these floundering companies, but in the meantime, the fired journalists keep reminding us why they never deserved our respect.

GUNTER: Want to cut federal operating expenses? Start with civil service

Here’s a staggering statistic for you: Nearly 40 per cent of the federal civil service (147,000 of 373,000 federal bureaucrats) made in excess of $100,000 in 2024. The average Canadian made just shy of $68,000.

And that sum doesn’t include the bureaucrats’ retroactive pay raises paid out last year. Nor does it include their very expensive perks or the generous contributions Ottawa makes to its workers’ lavish pensions.

How Much Violence and Mayhem in Cities Are Dems Willing to Accept?

Brandon Johnson – Loves Looting

Put aside the political rhetoric coming from Democrats in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles about “authoritarian rule,” “abuse of power,” or “presidential overreach.” What upsets the Democrats far more than their hysterical hyperbole would suggest is that the deployment of National Guard troops and federalizing law enforcement exposes the utter and abject failure of the governments in large American cities to fulfill their basic function of protecting their citizens.

Contributing to war and peace: Canada’s role in Ukraine explained

Ottawa is watching closely as U.S. President Donald Trump attempts to play peacemaker in the war in Ukraine.

Canada has volunteered to play a role in helping maintain peace in Ukraine, if a ceasefire deal can be reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to end the fighting that Moscow started in 2014.

The way the war ends could reverberate for decades.

‘It’s ridiculous’: Why some Canadian youth feel ready to tap out of tipping culture

EDMONTON — Ren Alva is no stranger to leaving a good tip.

The Edmonton university student believes in tipping service workers for a job well done, even leaving more during the holidays and after special events.

But the 22-year-old from Bahrain was taken aback during a recent visit to a U-pick berry farm, where he and his friends were asked to leave a tip at checkout.

“We did the picking ourselves,” said Alva. “They didn’t have to do anything.

Pentagon Has Quietly Blocked Ukraine’s Long-Range Missile Strikes on Russia

WASHINGTON—The Pentagon has for months been blocking Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles to strike inside Russia, U.S. officials said, limiting Kyiv from employing a powerful weapon in its fight against Moscow’s invasion.

A high-level Defense Department approval procedure, which hasn’t been announced, has prevented Ukraine from firing any U.S.-made long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems, or ATACMS, against targets in Russia since late spring, the officials said. On at least one occasion, Ukraine sought to use ATACMS against a target on Russian territory but was rejected, two officials said.

The U.S. veto of long-range strikes has restricted Ukraine’s military operations as the White House has sought to woo the Kremlin into beginning peace talks.

Racist Clean-Up, Aisle 7! Some White Guy Said ‘Kumbaya’

When someone, something, or a cause is running out of air, the reflexive over-action is often the exact opposite of the effective action needed to rectify or to relieve the situation.

Such seems to be the case with the various woke crusades and progressive causes as the air slips out of the balloons that had held them above any remonstrance, retribution, or rebukes that would have scuttled lesser supported and coddled indulgences.

Braid: When Ontario and the feds start acting like bros forever, Alberta should be very worried

Danielle Smith and Doug Ford are courteous with each other, but it’s a fragile friendship that could shatter at any moment.

Premier Smith and her people know this very well. They’re cheery on the surface but quietly suspicious. Old grudges die hard.

Uneasily, they watch the Ontario premier’s deepening ties with Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Pentagon plans military deployment in Chicago as Trump eyes crackdown

The Pentagon has for weeks been planning a military deployment to Chicago as President Donald Trump seeks to crack down on crime, homelessness and undocumented immigration, in a model that could later be used in other major cities, officials familiar with the matter said.

The planning, which has not been previously disclosed, involves several options, including mobilizing at least a few thousand members of the National Guard as soon as September to what is the third most populous city in the United States.
