GOLDBERG: Carney clearly oversold himself to voters

Carney was supposed to be the master negotiator who would defend Canada and strike a deal with U.S. President Donald Trump.
More than four months after becoming prime minister and three months after winning an election, Carney has failed to produce anything close to a trade deal with the United States.

And There It Was — One Sentence in Declassified Docs Proves We All Were Censored to Protect Hillary

It’s hard to fathom the evil that led to creating fake intelligence to frame then-presidential candidate Donald Trump as a Russian spy and traitor to his country. We’ve seen in recently declassified documents that Hillary Clinton didn’t do this alone. She commanded dozens, if not hundreds, of willing participants, including the George Soros foundation, President Barack Obama, the FBI, the weaponized intelligence agencies, and others, to bring Donald to his knees.
A Fish Falls From the Sky and Sparks a Brush Fire in British Columbia

A small brush fire and power outage in British Columbia started on Wednesday not with lightning or a careless camper, but with an airborne fish, according to fire officials.
With the help from nearby ranchers and employees from the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority, a Canadian electric utility company, firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the blaze, Ashcroft Fire Rescue said on Facebook.
Then came the investigation. It wasn’t faulty equipment, according to fire officials. It was a fish.
Nolte: Bitter Jon Stewart Ridicules Jay Leno, ‘Explains’ Gutfeld’s Success

Former comedian Jon Stewart used his podcast (does this guy ever shut up?) to ridicule Jay Leno for suggesting Late Night comedians try to entertain their audience rather than lecture one half while alienating the other. He also thinks he understands why Greg Gutfeld is humiliating far-left Late Night hosts Stephen Coltard, Jimmy Kimmtard, and Jimmy Falltard in the ratings.
Daniel Manandhar: I’m 17. I shouldn’t be allowed to vote

On Jul. 17, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that his government would allow 16-year-olds to vote in the United Kingdom’s next general election.
Spurred on by the decision of the British government, Canadian activists seek the same outcome here. They wish to sell the public on the idea that our electoral system is unjust because 16-year-olds cannot vote.
A Steep Mountain Drive, a Brake Failure and a Volvo Recall of Plug-in Hybrids and EV’s

Longtime Volvo fan’s terrifying ordeal prompts warning from regulators over software update for recalled plug-in hybrids and EVs
Peter Rothschild was driving home down a steep single lane road in northern California, when suddenly his Volvo SUV started accelerating out of control.
“I kept pushing on the brakes and pushing on the brakes,” said the 69-year-old retired radiologist. But for several seconds, nothing he could do would slow down the car.
Rothschild was able to steer his gray Volvo SUV up a hilly roadside, bringing the car to a stop. The side air bags deployed, and the vehicle suffered some damage. “I don’t think I would’ve made the next curve and would’ve gone off the side,” he said.
GOLDSTEIN: Carney touts Palestinian leader accused of Holocaust denial as his man in Mideast
Today, let’s examine the record of the man Prime Minister Mark Carney is pinning his hopes on to deliver an independent Palestinian state living in peace beside a secure Israel.
His choice is Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, as he explained in a prime ministerial “Readout” of their conversation on July 30.
Pauline Hanson claims ‘fundamentalist Islam’ subverting Australia as thousands march across Sydney Harbour Bridge

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has decried the Supreme Court’s decision to allow a pro-Palestine protest on the Sydney Harbour Bridge to take place on Sunday and warned an “influx” of Islamic fundamentalism was transforming Australia.
Police estimated 90,000 demonstrators took part in the “March for Humanity” through the heart of Sydney, chanting: “Free, free Palestine” and: “In our thousands in our millions, we are all Palestinians”, among other slogans calling for sanctions on Israel and an end to the war in Gaza.
Tens of thousands turn out for Sydney pro-Palestinian march
A planned pro-Palestinian protest across the Sydney Harbour Bridge has gone ahead after it was authorised by the Supreme Court just one day prior, in what organisers called a “historic” decision.
Tens of thousands turned out for the March for Humanity on Sunday despite torrential rain – with many carrying placards with messages to politicians to stop the war.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was spotted among the protesters, with other notable attendees including federal MP Ed Husic and former NSW Premier Bob Carr.

“Rally Round The EV Boys”

EVs have become a litmus test for whether we’re still America’s buddy — or ready to be a global Canada say two Cranks
There are few Canadian markets more integrated with the U.S. than vehicles. And not just the cars we build in Ontario, but the ones we drive across this country.
We rely on U.S. safety standards that effectively determine which cars end up on dealership lots, align our tailpipe emission standards and when the U.S. under Biden erected a 100 per cent tariff wall on Chinese electric vehicles (EVs), did Canada look to Europe’s much lower tariff or the U.K.’s lack of one? No, we put up a 100 per cent tariff wall too.
And then a few things happened.
These are not serious people.
Crackdown on Channel crossing social media adverts

People advertising illegal Channel crossings online could face up to five years in prison under a new offence the government plans to introduce.
The offence, which the government is seeking to create under the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill currently going through Parliament, would form part of a crackdown on the number of migrants coming to the UK on small boats.
Assisting illegal immigration to the UK is already a crime, but officials believe the offence would give police and other agencies more power to disrupt criminal gangs.
Carney wants to spend an extra $9B on defence by April. Is that possible?

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s goal of hitting NATO’s defence spending target of two per cent of gross domestic product this year will be an uphill — nearly impossible — battle, say experts and critics.
An extra $8.7 billion is earmarked for defence spending by the Department of National Defence (DND) or other government departments, and $370 million for the Communications Security Establishment (CSE). Allies had been pushing Canada to meet NATO’s goal for nearly 20 years — but actually actually doing so became imperative with Donald Trump in the White House.
Never underestimate the LPC’s talent for graft.
Spoon Amnesty To Follow …
Dozens of police stations amongst 45 drop-off points in Victoria to dispose soon-to-be illegal machetes amid spike in knife crime
Dozens of police stations in Victoria will become drop-off points for machete-wielding owners as the state becomes the first to implement a ban on the weapons.
Locations of the drop-off points have been revealed ahead of a three-month amnesty to dispose of the soon-to-be illegal weapons, which from September 1 will be criminalised in Victoria, resulting in jail terms or fines of up to $47,00.
Avraham Shalev: Sorry, Carney — ‘Palestine’ does not meet the test for statehood

JERUSALEM — Prime Minister Mark Carney’s statement that Canada intends to recognize a Palestinian state is a mishmash of good intentions, western naivete and wilful blindness.
The statement pays lip service to Israeli security concerns, saying that the Palestinian Authority (PA) must undergo fundamental reforms, that Hamas can have no role in Palestinian governance and that a Palestinian state must be demilitarized. Unfortunately, none of these conditions is grounded in reality.
Members of Afghan Family Receiving Nearly €7,000 in Citizen’s Benefit Showcase Wealth on Social Media

At the end of April, an Afghan family contacted the local employment center in Hamburg. The parents and their five children, as a needy household, applied for Bürgergeld, the citizens’ benefit paid when people have no income or do not earn enough money to support themselves and their dependents. According to official documents obtained by German investigative portal Nius, the employment center approved monthly payments of €6,733.83 from June to November 2025, with an increase to €6,814.83 starting in January 2026. Of this amount, approximately €5,100 is earmarked for Fördern und Wohnen, the city-owned social enterprise that runs the refugee accommodation where the family currently resides.
