On “The Rubin Report” Monday, BlazeTV host Dave Rubin discussed University of Pennsylvania student and transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, who shattered U.S. women’s records over the weekend.
Thomas swam for three seasons in the male division as Will Thomas, but has been dominating in the women’s division this season. In November, Thomas swept the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 500-meter freestyle events, smashing records in the process. During an event in Akron, Ohio, last weekend, Thomas once again crushed records in three events, including two new Ivy League records. In the 1,650-yard freestyle, Thomas finished an astonishing 38 seconds ahead of the closest competitor, UPenn teammate Anna Sofia Kalandaze.
