King’s big moment in Canada after Trump row

“This is a big deal for the King to do this,” says Jeremy Kinsman, former Canadian high commissioner to the UK, as King Charles prepares for a historic visit showing support for Canada, which is facing pressure from US President Donald Trump.

“I hope that Trump understands,” says Mr Kinsman, ahead of the King becoming the first monarch to open Canada’s Parliament in almost 70 years.

So what can we expect from his speech as Canada’s head of state, to be delivered in French and English in Ottawa on Tuesday?

I don’t think Woke King Charlie is the flex they imagine.

How Putin’s new drone war is getting deadlier

The burning man died far from the front line. He was 55 years old and had two daughters. He sat back in the driver’s seat of his incinerated car, beyond help, the driver’s door open, smoke drifting off his body.

The main street in Kostiantynivka was deserted. No one wanted to linger, in case they should also be hunted down and similarly slain by a Russian FPV (first person view) drone. So the dead man burned unattended in his car outside the town hall, a scatter of drone fragments and rubble shards around him.

‘Defined by delivery’: Energy minister says Canada will become a superpower

The federal government is pushing for more energy development across the country, but emphasizes that the work on the projects must be done with all proper consultation.

Canada’s Minister of Energy Tim Hodgson made the remarks during a conference at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce on Friday.

“Today we find ourselves at a pivotal moment. Global economies and markets are volatile. President Trump’s tariffs are disrupting trade, threatening Canadian jobs and industries and rewriting the rules of the game,” Hodgson said.

Smells like Bullshit to me.

Jewish protester charged over placard mocking terrorist leader

A Jewish protester was arrested by the Met Police after he briefly held a placard satirising a Hezbollah terrorist leader, The Telegraph can reveal.

The British man, who has asked to remain anonymous for his safety, was detained and charged last September over a cartoon which showed Hasan Nasrallah, the Lebanese terror chief, with a pager and the words “beep, beep, beep”.

The placard satirised a targeted Israeli attack, dubbed Operation Grim Beeper, in which explosives in pagers and walkie-talkies killed 42 people, mostly Hezbollah terrorists. Nasrallah survived but was killed in an airstrike a week later.

ANDERSON: Alberta independence will come

Is Alberta truly strong and free? That’s a loaded question these days. It has been nearly month since the 2025 federal election, and I think it’s safe to say Alberta continues to experience a fierce wave of political rage.

Talk of independence is at a fever pitch, surpassing what was experienced in the 1980s or the 2000s. The tut-tut condescension of Eastern media, and the finger-wagging of federalist lap dogs like failed premier Jason Kenney, are doing nothing to quell the sentiment. These voices don’t even register in our communities anymore.

‘Green Energy’ Is Quietly Polluting A Landfill Near You

While green advocates commonly use the terms renewable, sustainable, and net zero to describe their efforts, the dirty little secret is that much of the waste from solar panels and wind turbines is ending up in landfills.

The current amounts of fiberglass, resins, aluminum and other chemicals — not to mention propeller blades from giant wind turbines — pose no threat currently to local town dumps, but this largely ignored problem will become more of a challenge in the years ahead as the 500 million solar panels and the 73,000 wind turbines now operating in the U.S. are decommissioned and replaced.

Doctor Who Star Ncuti Gatwa “Axed” and BBC Show to be “Put on Pause” Amid Falling Ratings and Woke Storylines

Dr Who made deviant woke

… The BBC programme is also said to have been paused for an extended break amid criticism about plots about non-binary aliens and incels.

Fans of the show have also lamented some of the programme’s best loved villains being given ‘woke’ facelifts. In one episode Ncuti’s Doctor admitted he was gay.

It came after Gatwa’s withdrawal from presenting the UK’s Eurovision jury scores on Saturday night after Israel made the final. Gatwa has previously been vocal in his support for Palestine.

Ottawa has to allow home prices to fall to make housing more affordable, experts say

OTTAWA – Housing experts are pushing back against a federal cabinet minister’s recent claim that home prices don’t need to go down in order to restore housing affordability.

Gregor Robertson, the former mayor of Vancouver who was elected to the House of Commons in April, sparked the debate after he was sworn in as housing minister earlier this, when a reporter asked him whether he thinks home prices need to fall.

“No, I think that we need to deliver more supply, make sure the market is stable. It’s a huge part of our economy,” he said.

People holding “underwater mortgages” are increasing and are typically found in urban centres like those that voted for Carney.

Pick Your Scandal: Democrats Installing Their Deep State Meat Puppet? Or Is it America Finally Accepting Subjugation?

Years ago, when I began using the phrase “meat puppet” to describe those useful idiots the party would drag out to testify in favor of tax increases or open borders or welfare for illegals. And the political left couldn’t help seething as they attacked me.

But I liked “meat puppet” and kept using it because it works.

Good thread on the Autopen Presidency.

Terry Newman: Where’s the ‘crisis,’ Carney?

The Trump annexation scare sure evaporated quickly

It was not that long ago, merely March, when Prime Minister Mark Carney, fresh off his Liberal party leadership win, began telling Canadians his party needed a “strong mandate” because Canadians were “facing the most significant crisis of our lifetimes because of President Donald Trump’s unjustified trade actions and his threats to our sovereignty.” He insisted a snap election was essential, as was electing him, the self-proclaimed “crisis manager,” to address it.
