Quebec man facing nearly 150 charges in GTA crime spree

A Quebec man previously charged with the theft of police equipment from a motor vehicle is now facing nearly 150 charges in connection with a rash of violent and property-related crimes across the GTA, including multiple stabbings.

Police took the suspect into custody on Friday and charged him with three offences in the theft of police equipment from a parked motor vehicle near Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue on April 30.

However, police say that investigators were subsequently able to link the same suspect to a series of thefts from motor vehicles across the GTA that was the subject of an ongoing investigation being led by the 51 Division Major Crime Unit.

Half of Britons Would Not Fight For Country ‘Under Any Circumstances‘

The notion the United Kingdom government, its people, or way of life are something worth fighting for appears to be in decline, with a survey finding that less than half of the nation would be willing to fight and defend their country for any reason.

According to a poll from Ipsos released to coincide with Victory in Europe (VE) Day, which marks the formal surrender of Nazi Germany to the Allied nations in 1945, some 48 per cent of Britons would not fight for their country “under any circumstances.”

Not surprising, as with Canada no one wants to fight for a nation being turned into a 3rd world shithole by its elites.

U.S. Orders Intelligence Agencies to Step Up Spying on Greenland

Greenland Mask Dance – What are they hiding?

The U.S. is stepping up its intelligence-gathering efforts regarding Greenland, drawing America’s spying apparatus into President Trump’s campaign to take over the island, according to two people familiar with the effort.

Several high-ranking officials under Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard issued a “collection emphasis message” to intelligence-agency heads last week. They were directed to learn more about Greenland’s independence movement and attitudes on American resource extraction on the island.

Canada’s allies are wondering if they can still shelter under the U.S. nuclear umbrella

Gone, it seems, are the days when the phrase “going nuclear” was meant figuratively.

Since the beginning of the year and the inauguration of the second Trump administration, an increasing number of Washington’s closest allies have begun to throw quiet — and sometimes not so quiet — fits about whether they can still count on the decades-old nuclear deterrent capability of the United States.

Few places feel that uncertainty more keenly than South Korea.

It’s bad to have nuclear weapons. The US has nuclear weapons so the US is bad.

It’s OK if the US promises to defend us with them but we’re just too pure to ever acquire them in Canada’s defense.

It’s a wonder our reliance on the US lasted so long

After 80 years we can no longer expect America to protect us, and paying for our defence will require brutal honesty

VE Day feels like a good moment to quit wasting breath on abuse of Donald Trump. Let me explain my meaning: of course he and JD Vance are brutes whose tenancy of the White House is a global tragedy. But the rest of us must get down to thinking constructively about what we do next. Which does not include taking a shameful Open to Turnberry.

War commemorations are traditionally occasions at which we reprise twaddle about the special relationship, such as Churchill expounded publicly but never privately. Behind closed doors, he raged at the ruthlessness of American treatment of Britain, especially about money.

TDS and a touch entitled.

Social Cohesion: Ottawa hopes to make you enjoy the loss of economic & community security caused by mass immigration from incompatible cultures

Ottawa looking for ways to mend tears in Canada’s social fabric, document shows

OTTAWA — Senior federal officials have been looking quietly for ways to bring together Canadians who don’t see eye to eye on the economy, immigration and social issues.

With a general election looming, officials prepared to meet last November to brainstorm solutions to the problem of social fragmentation, according to an internal presentation drafted by the Department of Canadian Heritage.

The presentation called on session participants to come up with ideas to make Canadian society more cohesive by reversing the trend toward polarization, building trust in government agencies and fighting the swelling tide of misinformation and disinformation.

Is it the end of the line for ‘sexy’ German model railway figurines?

Model railway enthusiasts such as Sir Rod Stewart will tell you that when it comes to creating the perfect mise-en-scène, everything matters. From the colour of the peeling paint of a clock tower to the gait of the rosy-cheeked villager waving at a loco as it whizzes past.

Yet in their pursuit for art to imitate life in all possible ways, it appears German model-makers have gone a little too far.

DUR: Surely it cannot be that babies born alive after an abortion, are left to die?

Richard Dur is Executive Director of Prolife Alberta, an organization dedicated to advancing pro-life public policy in Alberta

Something is happening here in Alberta that most people would never believe could be true. But it is.

According to the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) — the federal agency responsible for compiling and reporting standardized health data across Canada — Alberta reported a total of 133 late-term abortions in the 2023-2024 year.

Trump trans military ban given green light by Supreme Court

Donald Trump can enforce a ban on transgender people serving in the military, the Supreme Court has ruled.

The high court on Tuesday approved an emergency petition from the administration to stop an injunction that blocked the ban from taking effect while a challenge to the order plays out in the courts.

It means the US can begin implementing the executive order signed by the president in January, which discharges service members who identify as transgender.

Why western Canada should join the US

Here in the west, many don’t want a trade war with the United States. They want in.

I was born in Saskatchewan and have no intention of returning. It’s the Siberia of Canada, an area bigger than France – where I now live – with the population of Buffalo, New York. It’s sucked dry by Ottawa. Elon Musk was here, and left. And it has winter temperatures of -40 degrees.

Alberta has slightly more going for it: skiing, bears. But Albertans aren’t gruntled, either. The last time I was in Calgary I had lunch at the elite Ranchmen’s Club and the chatter was seditious. The talk was of Wexit – the separation of western Canada from the bloodsucking east.

My brother, his son and wife have set in motion a plan to relocate to Alberta.

Trump appeasing Putin with pressure on Ukraine says senile Biden

Biden is in charge of tapioca

Joe Biden has told the BBC that pressure from the Trump administration on Ukraine to give up territory to Russia is “modern-day appeasement” in an exclusive interview, his first since leaving the White House.

Speaking in Delaware on Monday, he said Russian President Vladimir Putin believed Ukraine was part of Russia and “anybody that thinks he’s going to stop” if some territory is conceded as part of a peace deal “is just foolish”.

Biden, who spoke as Allied nations mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day this week, said he was concerned about US-Europe relations breaking down under President Donald Trump, which he said “would change the modern history of the world”.

I wonder how much the 1st Family of Sleaze got paid for this?

Joe Biden on Trump: ‘What president ever talks like that? That’s not who we are’

In an exclusive and remarkably candid interview – the first since he left office – Joe Biden discusses what he really thinks of his successor’s first 100 days, plus his fears for the future if the Atlantic Alliance collapses.

Biden’s attempt to rewrite history is fooling no one

In his first interview since leaving the White House, Joe Biden accused President Trump of appeasing Russia over Ukraine. Well, Biden certainly knows all about appeasement. It was the hallmark of his presidency and accounts for much of the instability in Europe and the Middle East today.

Before Putin invaded, Biden sent the worst possible signal, seeming to suggest that a “minor incursion” might not be too big a deal. Then when the tanks rolled in he offered to evacuate the leader of the embattled country to safety. That would have been like Roosevelt flying Churchill out of Britain in 1940.

Young Canadians Voted Against Spending Orgy, But Their Insulated Parents Won

The most memorable meme of the recent Canadian election campaign emerged from the line outside an Ontario microbrewery, where an older Liberal Party supporter named Matt Janes flashed two middle fingers to protesters agitating against Prime Minister Mark Carney.

The obscenity went viral — with Janes becoming infamous as the Brantford Boomer — not just for its crass vulgarity, but for exposing the deep generational divide in Canada.
