Despite its still large number of adherents, Christianity has borne the brunt of ruling class hostility toward religious faith.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi held a press conference Tuesday where she formally launched the White House Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias.
The issue of anti-Christian bias extends as well into the halls of academia. U.S. President Donald Trump mandated the task force through a Presidential Executive Order in February. The decision is designed to end the anti-Christian weaponization of government and unlawful conduct targeting Christians.
Joining the attorney general were members of President Trump’s cabinet and key government agencies as well as people purportedly affected by anti-Christian bias during the Biden administration.

Canada is tragically a nation in decline. For a number of years, the key economic and quality of life metrics have slowly but surely worsened. This has happened while comparable countries have done much better. And it’s largely been a policy choice. We are not in accidental decline, but managed decline.
This is where we find ourselves, as we are on the cusp of a momentous national election. The choice voters face on Monday is whether to continue down this path or to turn things around by going in a different direction.

China, according to Reuters and Financial Times reporting on April 25, is not uniformly imposing its new 125% across-the-board tariff on American goods. In short, certain imports from the U.S. are in fact coming in tariff-free. Beijing’s new policy has not been announced and is not official.
“Companies in sectors including aviation and industrial chemicals said that some of their products had already been granted a reprieve, while local media reported that some semiconductors had been spared tariffs,” the Financial Times noted.
American Chamber of Commerce in China President Michael Hart told Reuters that some pharmaceutical company members of his organization had said they were now able to import products tariff-free.

While cost-of-living issues and U.S. trade tensions have dominated discussions during the federal election campaign, a long-simmering issue is drawing concern among some experts who say the potential consequences warrant greater federal attention: Canada’s declining fertility rate and its long-term implications for population growth.
Canada’s birth rate has for decades been below the level needed to replace the population, with an even steeper decline in recent years, according to a recent report published by the Macdonald-Laurier Institute titled “Baby Steps: How to reverse Canada’s falling fertility rates.”
While declining fertility is a global trend seen in other developed countries like the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, Canada now lags behind many of its peers in fertility.

A Cambridge University museum has claimed Britain’s exploration of Antarctica was “colonial” – despite only penguins living there.
The university’s Polar Museum holds personal artefacts linked to the explorers of the Heroic Age of Antarctic exploration, including Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton.
The museum informs visitors that the daring and often fatal expeditions to the South Pole were “in the colonial mould”, despite the southernmost continent having no human population to conquer or exploit.

Pierre Poilievre is trying to win over young people when he says he needs the “biggest voter turnout in Canadian history” to reverse a Liberal victory some polls suggest is a foregone conclusion, political experts say.
Newly eligible voters, specifically men, are most likely to support Poilievre’s Conservatives — but they’re also the least likely demographic to vote according to historical trends, said David Coletto, founder and CEO of Ottawa-based polling and market research firm Abacus Data.
“He needs, I think, an extraordinary level of turnout,” Coletto said.
Young Canadians favor Conservatives in election despite Trump threat

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the infamous “Maryland Man” of media renown (who is actually an illegal immigrant and accused MS-13 gang member from El Salvador with no legal right to be in the United States) was the subject of yet another story on National Public Radio.
The online version of the radio report by Eric Westervelt and Joel Rose for NPR’s All Things Considered Wednesday added some more sympathetic details to the Maryland man’s media mythos — he’s just a quiet family man!
Ontario man in custody on allegations he tried to join terror group: RCMP
A 32-year-old Ontario man has been arrested under the terrorism peace bond provisions of the Criminal Code after allegedly trying to leave Canada to join a terrorist organization, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
The arrest was made by the RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team.

Joe Biden’s appearance at Pope Francis’s funeral on Saturday caused as a stir as the 82-year-old former president showed significant signs of physical deterioration, even requiring significant assistance just to navigate a short flight of stairs at the Vatican.
Looking to Europe for our defence needs would not be in Canada’s best interests
The Peace Arch Border Crossing — which connects the cities of Blaine, Wash., and Surrey, B.C. — bears the words of Psalm 133: “Brethren dwelling together in unity.” While this biblical inscription testifies to the close relationship the two countries maintained for decades, the feeling in Canada today is that the brotherly relationship has become more reminiscent of the fratricidal kinship of Abel and Cain.
Doesn’t make a lot of sense to wed ourselves to nation’s whose armed forces are as inadequate as our own.

Self-proclaimed Hamas operative in US Air Force indicted over pipe bomb plot
A self-described Hamas operative who infiltrated the US Air Force and once boasted that he’s “been a terrorist since he’s been a kid” was hit with additional charges this week alongside two Pittsburgh women after the feds foiled an apparent terror plot involving a pair of pipe bombs.
Mohamad Hamad, 23, who has dual citizenship in the US and Lebanon, was already charged for defacing a synagogue was hit Tuesday with a nine-count superseding indictment along with Talya Lubit, 24, and Micaiah Collins, 22.

He dominated Canadian politics for a decade. But almost nothing has been seen or heard of Justin Trudeau since he stepped down as prime minister last month.
His Liberal Party, with a new leader, has the advantage as the country heads into a general election on Monday.
Just so long as it can avoid reminding people of the scandals and missteps that eventually ended his political career.
Think your quality of life has declined since 2015?
Data suggests you’re right.
In 2015, Canada ranked 9th for quality of life — considering factors like cost of living, climate, access to home ownership, and more.
Today, it barely holds onto a spot in the top 30. ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/hh8xj0m5gh

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty recently gained notoriety for not prosecuting a Minnesota government employee for committing a series of felonies for keying Teslas. It was a travesty, one made even more blatant by the fact that her office is prosecuting a woman for causing much less damage, vandalizing one car instead of six Teslas.
Welcome to Canada.
