Iran’s Regime – No Matter How Hard Any Western Leader Tries to Sell It That Way – Has Not Changed

Iran’s Regime – No Matter How Hard Any Western Leader Tries to Sell It That Way – Has Not Changed

Many countries in the region, including Pakistan, seem to be urging and pushing the United States to stop its firm stance on Iran’s regime. They appear to prefer watered-down agreements and accepting Iran’s terms.

These countries clearly are acting in their own interests, not America’s. The Iranian regime, while having its proxies target their oil fields, has not, however, been nearly as much of a threat to them as it has been, for nearly half a century, to Israel and the United States.

Canada’s spy agency didn’t report potentially unlawful activity to feds: watchdog

Canada’s domestic intelligence agency has failed to report their employees’ potentially unlawful activity and Charter violations, a newly-released watchdog report warns.

Of the 22 instances in which the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) admitted “non-compliance” with the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in 2023-24, none were formally reported to the federal public safety minister.

I doubt it’s safe to share anything with the Liberal party given they’ve been compromised six ways from Sunday.

China, Islamists, Brookfield etc. Canada is a sieve.

CDU pamphlet scandal: Resignation templates sent to AfD lawmakers backfire spectacularly

Germany’s Christian Democrats (CDU), who currently rule the country in coalition with the Christian Social Union (CSU), have sent out pamphlets to all AfD lawmakers, explaining to them just how dangerous their party is and providing a template resignation letter to facilitate their departure from the anti-migration party.

The 35-page booklet titled “Decline for Germany. No Alternative” claims that the party is “harmful to democracy, anti-Semitic, nationalist.”

Bringing Back Normality

Everyman L.A. Mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt is “controversial” according to the press. “Controversial” is a press code word for “Democrats don’t like him, but can’t give actual reasons why because they would sound stupid.”

Why don’t Democrats like Spencer Pratt? Because he’s standing up for normal things, and the political system in L.A., as dominated by Democrats and their satraps for decades, has made a point of not delivering those normal things.

In Toronto’s mayoral race, voters will have two distinct choices — plus Doug Ford

The election is still months away, but already the battle lines are drawn. On one side, we have Mayor Olivia Chow — a tough and tested lefty — on the other, Councillor Brad Bradford — an aggressive “pragmatist.” Though other contenders may yet join the race, it’s doubtful any will have a genuine shot at victory.

Chow, of course, has been mayor since winning the byelection called in 2023 after the sudden resignation of her predecessor, John Tory, following a sex scandal. A veteran NDPer, she did time as a downtown councillor and a federal parliamentarian before assuming Toronto’s top job.

Both suck up to Islamists and from what I am hearing of Bradford he’s no savior.

Nolte: Disney Under FCC Investigation for Racist and Sexist Hiring Practices

The Disney Grooming Syndicate is angry over the FCC initiating an early license renewal for Disney-owned ABC.

“Disney-owned ABC formally asked the Federal Communications Commission [FCC] to renew licenses for its eight broadcast TV stations on Thursday, but not without chastising Chair Brendan Carr for infringing the Constitution,” reports the disgraced far-left Politico.

Some Iranians abroad say they’d fight for the regime. Others want to topple it.

KHABAT, Iraq — On a dirt road strewn with shattered concrete, Jalal Rashidi bent to pick up a shard of jagged debris. A piece of a drone, he said, that crashed into a compound of exiled Iranian Kurds soon after the United States and Israel launched their war on Iran.

About 40 families were preparing to break the Ramadan fast here in northern Iraq on March 5 when drones struck, Rashidi said. They blew out windows, peppered walls with shrapnel and tore open a courtyard.

Rashidi’s pregnant wife, he said, lost their baby. He blamed Iranian-backed militias in Iraq.

North American-made autos must contain at least 50% U.S. content, Trump negotiators tell Mexico

U.S. President Donald Trump’s negotiating team is demanding that all North American-made autos contain at least 50 per cent U.S. content, firing the opening salvo in a battle over the future of the pact governing continental trade.

American and Mexican negotiators hunkered down in Mexico City this week to start a review of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, and the U.S. announced plans for two further rounds of bilateral talks that do not include Canada.

Robotaxis Are Spreading Across the U.S.—and So Is the Backlash

This was supposed to be the year that robotaxis hit Main Street across the U.S., as companies like Alphabet’s Waymo, Tesla and Amazon.com’s Zoox launch AI-powered autonomous rides in dozens of cities.

But as hundreds of robot cars collide with humans, both literally and figuratively, tensions are rising. The problems cropping up in police reports and viral social-media posts range from the concerning to the comical.

Over Mother’s Day weekend, Andy Milheizler’s quiet Atlanta cul-de-sac was overrun with empty Waymo vehicles.

Trudeau’s climate policy architects gather as Carney changes course

It was the end of an era and the four politicians who were its chief architects gathered in one room in Ottawa.

Former prime minister Justin Trudeau and his former climate change cabinet ministers — Catherine McKenna, Jonathan Wilkinson and Steven Guilbeault — on Wednesday were at the Rideau Club, a private social club near Parliament Hill.

Political operatives behind the scenes, MPs across party lines and journalists were also there. The room was packed and on a warm Ottawa evening in May it quickly got hot.
