Tens of thousands of Ukrainians expected to come to Canada in the next few months

OTTAWA – Settlement agencies are preparing for a surge of Ukrainians arriving in Canada before emergency visas for those fleeing the Russian invasion expire at the end of March.

The federal government has issued more then 930,000 temporary emergency visas since March 2022 for Ukrainians who want to work or study in Canada while they wait out the war.

I have no problem with this, but cut off migrants from everywhere else.

Evidence points to systematic use of rape and sexual violence by Hamas in 7 October attacks

In videos from 7 October, the body of a young woman is lying face down in the back of a pickup truck, stripped to her underwear, one leg bent at an unnatural angle. One of the men sitting next to her pulls her long hair as armed men around him shout praises to God.

Footage of the lifeless corpse of Shani Louk, a 22-year-old Israeli-German national being paraded around the streets of Gaza was some of the first to surface on 7 October, as the scale of the horror visited on sleeping families in kibbutzim neighbouring the strip and people partying at a nearby rave started to become clear.

GOLDSTEIN: PM’s flip-flop on Mideast war shows we’re not a serious country

Can’t imagine what could cause such reticence.

The Trudeau government’s botched announcement on whether Canada supports South Africa’s argument before the world court that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, is just more proof that Canada under its current federal government is not a serious country.

China’s looming decline could be a threat to the world

The Communist Party’s incompetence has worsened a continuing demographic catastrophe in China, undermining hopes for its future.

The world faces a threat, not from a rising, powerful China, but from a China that is disaffected and in inevitable decline.

The National Bureau of Statistics reported Tuesday that China’s population had decreased in 2023 by about two million people, more than twice as many as the previous year’s drop of 850,000.

Panic, as China’s Population Continues to Drop

China’s government just announced its population has declined for the second straight year. Once the world’s most populous country, India officially surpassed China in 2023. Experts say the future of China’s workforce and economy are at stake.

‘Breaking point’: Legault asks Trudeau to slow influx of asylum seekers

Quebec Premier François Legault is asking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to slow the influx of asylum seekers entering the province, which he said is nearing a “breaking point.”

Legault made his request in an official letter to Trudeau sent Wednesday afternoon, a copy of which was obtained by The Canadian Press.

“We are very close to the breaking point due to the excessive number of asylum seekers arriving in Quebec month after month. The situation has become unsustainable,” Legault wrote.

The original French reads as “Dump them in Ontario.”

Liberal-induced housing disaster cannot go on

Canada’s wildly high rates of immigration that have made it practically impossible to raise a family in Canada unless you’re rich

One of the most vexing questions that inevitably arises in any close scrutiny of the factors contributing to the dramatically worsening standard of living in Canada is whether the causes are a function of decisions the Trudeau Liberals made deliberately, or whether it’s all been a series of catastrophic mistakes.

Either way, this can’t go on.

Trudeau and or his handlers using Junior as a front deliberately inflicted this horror on Canadians. Prove me wrong.

Rochdale has exposed the horrors of political correctness

Yet another report has shown that grooming gangs were given a free pass because of ‘racial sensitivities’.

A new review into the authorities’ response to the grooming-gangs scandal in Rochdale, in the north-west of England, makes for depressing reading.

The report, published this week, is the third part of an independent review into the handling of child sexual exploitation in Greater Manchester. Authors Malcolm Newsam and Gary Ridgway tell an all-too-familiar story of the callous indifference of local authorities, of the police’s failure to protect the most vulnerable and of a complete lack of accountability.

TTC sees rise in number of people seeking shelter in stations during cold snaps

The number of people seeking shelter in transit stations in Toronto increases when the weather turns cold, the Toronto Transit Commission said as the city continues to face capacity challenges at its shelters and warming centres.

Spokesman Stuart Green said TTC staff observe between 30 and 60 unhoused people per day in transit stations during cold weather months, compared to eight to 10 the rest of the year.

Transgender row at Science Museum over claims reworked exhibit is ‘even more insidious’

The Science Museum has reinstated a transgender exhibit initially removed following complaints it was ignoring biology.

A controversial cabinet featuring a fake penis and chest-binding equipment was taken down after accusations it was pushing gender-ideological “propaganda”, but an updated exhibit has now been installed.

However, gender-critical campaigners said the reworked version was “more insidious” and pushes a “sexist view of the world”.

144 Hamas supporters no other state is foolish enough to accept on track to come to Canada, pending biometrics

144 Gazans on track to come to Canada, pending biometrics

Ottawa has processed visa applications for 144 people in the Gaza Strip, putting them on track to be reunited with extended family members in Canada — as long as they can make it across the border for biometric screening and final approval.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada opened a program to offer temporary visas to as many as 1,000 people in the besieged Palestinian territory, if their relatives can support them in Canada.

Mass migration is about to sweep away the West’s blinkered ruling class

Rishi Sunak may have defeated his rebels, but it was a Pyrrhic victory that cannot save his government. The Rwanda Bill won’t halt the boats, let alone convince exasperated voters to trust the Conservatives again.

The Tory wets who prevented Sunak from toughening his Bill have shown themselves to be pathologically unable to grasp the enormity of the challenge posed by mass migration, legal and illegal, to the Western order in the 21st century. Most voters – in Britain, and across Europe – believe immigration to be unsustainably high, and yet the pressure will be on the numbers to rise much further, especially given the West’s crippling baby-bust.
