Yes, they are ‘hate marches’

How dare you call them hate marches?! So goes the commentariat chorus this week, as London braces itself for another ‘pro-Palestine’ demonstration on Saturday, controversially coinciding with Armistice Day. With the British government keen to look tough on the capital’s now weekly anti-Israel protests, which have time and again devolved into carnivals of Jew hatred, home secretary Suella Braverman has branded them ‘hate marches’ and piled pressure on the Metropolitan Police to ban this weekend’s instalment.

Refugee struggle drives German homelessness up by half

The number of homeless people in Germany has risen by more than 50 per cent in 12 months, according to a report that found the increase was almost entirely due to a doubling in the number of refugees with no fixed place to stay.

Soaring rents, a sharp rise in the broader cost of living and an acute shortage of social housing have compounded the difficulties of finding space for about a million Ukrainians fleeing the invasion of their homeland and the 148,000 non-Ukrainians who applied for asylum in 2022.

Germany: Nearly €50 Billion on Migration in 2023

Germany’s left-liberal traffic light coalition is set to spend 48.2 billion euros of taxpayer cash on costs associated with migration, up from 42 billion last year, the latest figures from the federal ministry of finance have revealed.

The overall costs covering reception, housing, migration registration, educational support for children and youth, and various social expenses equal Germany’s national defense budget, the Berlin-based daily Die Welt reports.

Hillary Clinton compares Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler on The View

Hillary Clinton has made a direct comparison between Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler as she claimed the former president winning in 2024 would lead to ‘almost unimaginable wreckage’ for America.

She drew parallels between how the Nazi leader became a dictator and what she claimed were Trump’s ‘dictatorial, authoritarian tendencies’ which would lead to the ‘end of our country as we know it’.

During an appearance on The View, Clinton accused Trump of wanting to throw opponents in jail and shut down a free press if he regains the White House.

Like Father, Like Son: Eco-Hypocrites Charles And Harry Scold About Climate From Private Jets

Climate doomsdayers Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took a 40-minute private jet ride to a Katy Perry concert this past weekend. The Sun revealed Tuesday that the Sussexes flew in a Texan oil heir’s private plane along with actress Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden, as well as actress Zoe Saldana.

Ironically, for years, the pampered prince has been preaching about society reaching “net zero” goals, warning of the supposed impending end to life on earth and fretting that “the world is on fire.” Harry even founded Travalyst, an organization dedicated to promoting “sustainable” travel — the antithesis of private jets.

Killing of gay IDF soldier by Hamas prompts new equal rights law

Israel’s right-wing, religious coalition government has passed a landmark ruling to give equal rights to the same-sex partners of dead soldiers.

The Families of Fallen Soldiers Law was amended to allow the partners to be recognised for the first time as Israel Defence Forces (IDF) widows, meaning they can now access benefits including pensions, financial and educational support for children, medical, funeral, wake and convalescence costs, as well as psychological support.

Photographers Without Borders: AP & Reuters Pictures of Hamas Atrocities Raise Ethical Questions

On October 7, Hamas terrorists were not the only ones who documented the war crimes they had committed during their deadly rampage across southern Israel. Some of their atrocities were captured by Gaza-based photojournalists working for the Associated Press and Reuters news agencies whose early morning presence at the breached border area raises serious ethical questions.

What were they doing there so early on what would ordinarily have been a quiet Saturday morning? Was it coordinated with Hamas? Did the respectable wire services, which published their photos, approve of their presence inside enemy territory, together with the terrorist infiltrators? Did the photojournalists who freelance for other media, like CNN and The New York Times, notify these outlets? Judging from the pictures of lynching, kidnapping and storming of an Israeli kibbutz, it seems like the border has been breached not only physically, but also journalistically.

Researchers Try Doomsday Images To Scare Meat Eaters

Following the example of cigarette packs, a new study by British researchers argues that graphic warning labels on meat products could successfully nudge meat-lovers towards reconsidering their dietary choices. With apocalyptic images reminiscent of war zones or forest fires, the researchers claim, Brits could be convinced to cut their meat consumption to the levels desired by climate change activist groups and instead get their protein from other, more so called ‘sustainable’ sources, among which, one suspects, insects.

Oxford AstraZeneca Covid jab was ‘defective’, claims landmark legal case

The Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine has been branded “defective” in a multi-million pound landmark legal action that will suggest claims over its efficacy were “vastly overstated”.

The pharmaceutical giant is being sued in the High Court in a test case by Jamie Scott, a father-of-two who suffered a significant permanent brain injury that has left him unable to work as a result of a blood clot after receiving the jab in April 2021. A second claim is being brought by the widower and two young children of 35-year-old Alpa Tailor, who died after having the jab made by AstraZeneca, the UK-based pharmaceutical giant.

Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of Benjamin Netanyahu and company

It is clear that PM Trudeau and his diplomats care more about satisfying Israel’s requests than attending to the dire circumstances of hundreds of Canadian citizens in Gaza.

Save for humane Ireland and Scotland, most Western diplomatic corps, including the banal dilettantes who staff Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa and beyond, are wholly owned subsidiaries of Benjamin Netanyahu and racist company.

In the four weeks since the Israeli prime minister began the wholesale destruction of Gaza, Canada’s emissaries – big and small – have been preoccupied with Israel’s interests at the expense of Canadians they purport to serve at home and abroad.

There are no Canadians in Gaza.

Public sector union apologizes for president’s antisemitic comments

OTTAWA – Leadership of the third-largest federal public service union is apologizing for antisemitic statements made by its former president, who resigned Monday after his past social media posts surfaced.

When will those ‘marching for Palestine’ do the right thing?

Those of us who believe in freedom of expression have felt mighty lonely this week. We have watched as, one by one, our fellow opponents of cancel culture have given into the temptations of censorship. Many on the right in particular appear to have fallen under the spell of suppression. Gone is their devotion to the ‘marketplace of ideas’ and in its stead comes a chilling cry for a literal police clampdown on speech they don’t like.

Colby Cosh: Did the truth about Buffy Sainte-Marie do a disservice?

Normally, when someone attacks CBC News for bad journalism, we here at the Post are naturally tempted to whoop, “Pass the ammo!” But on Sunday the Toronto Star published a column by Robert Jago, an outstanding Indigenous freelance writer, that denounced the corporation for its thorough, bulletproof, incredibly-long-overdue exposé of folksinger Buffy Sainte-Marie’s faked Indigenous origins.

I wonder at the sensitivity of the Bluffy revelations.

The willingness of some to turn away from the truth is understandable among friends and admirers indigenous or not.

A backlash against the fiasco of the fake graves mania perhaps?
