America, Jr.

Canada is currently subjecting itself to a bizarre experiment in extreme population growth due to pedal-to-the-metal legal immigration.

Canada’s population rose about 1 percent per year for the first decade and a half of this century. But the Justin Trudeau era began in 2015, and growth was goosed to 1.5 percent by 2019. After a brief pandemic pause, the Trudeau government is now opening the borders extraordinarily wide.

In response, Canada’s annual population growth rate hit 3.0 percent in the third quarter of 2023, the kind of rise normally associated with Bangladesh in the 1980s. Over the summer, Canada’s population reached 40 million, up from 30 million in 1997.

Canada pulls 41 diplomats from India after diplomatic immunity stripped

All but 21 Canadian diplomats in India have been pulled out of that country, Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly said Thursday, confirming the slashing of diplomatic staff by roughly two-thirds amid ongoing tensions between the two countries.

Joly said India has formally conveyed its plan to Ottawa to strip diplomatic immunity from 41 Canadian diplomats and their 42 family members by Friday.

Canada has facilitated the safe departure of those diplomats and their families from India, she added, noting the stripping of immunity “would put their personal safety at risk.”

How the educated elites became Hamas apologists

America’s top universities are consumed by Israel Derangement Syndrome.

It cannot be overstated how important American Jewish culture has been to modern American life. American Jews helped shape their nation’s psyche. So to see the violent deaths of Jewish men, women and children in Israel being blamed on the Jews themselves, and by the American left no less, is a watershed moment in US history. American Jews have long felt that America was, outside of Israel, the safest and most welcoming country for them. After the events of the past few weeks, that looks to be no longer the case.

NDP MPP Sarah Jama sends cease-and-desist letter to Premier Doug Ford

Checks all NDP boxes, Black, female, disabled, hates Jews

A New Democrat legislator has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Ontario Premier Doug Ford over comments made about her statement on the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Sarah Jama alleges Ford defamed her when he said she has a “well-documented history of anti-Semitism” and supports the “rape and murder of innocent Jewish people.”

Joe Oliver: No, Israel’s military response does not need to be ‘proportionate’

Accusations are starting to mount against Israel’s allegedly disproportionate response to Hamas’ slaughter of around 1,400 Israeli men, women and children, and the kidnapping of at least 199. Israel’s enemies joyously celebrated the butchery around the world, including on the streets of Canadian cities, which is as appalling as it is concerning. As is the hypocritical call for Israel’s response to be “proportionate” — a standard that is not required under international law and that no other democratic countries are held to.

People who celebrate the massacre of Jewish infants are virulent antisemites. Hamas apologists, including academics, students, labour union leaders and assorted leftists are useful idiots in thrall to a postmodern ideology that demonizes and delegitimizes the Jewish state.

We’ve seen this scam before … Thousands of “Canadians” may soon need to leave Lebanon. 2006 war suggests that’s no easy task

The federal government is warning Canadians to avoid all travel to Lebanon and telling those already in the country to leave now, as the crisis in Israel and Gaza worsens and concerns grow that the conflict could spill over the border.

For now, tensions between the Israeli military and Hezbollah — a political party and armed movement in Lebanon which supports the Palestinian militant factions Hamas and Islamic Jihad, all of which are backed by the Iranian regime — have been limited to exchanges of artillery fire and rocket attacks in border regions.

Diplomatic efforts are underway to prevent any further escalation, though the Israeli Defence Forces have already evacuated communities near the border with Lebanon, and Hezbollah has warned it’s “fully ready” to intervene in the Israel-Hamas war.

They aren’t Canadians, they just have a Canadian passport. Why on earth would you choose to live in Hezbollah land? Leave them there.

Can Israel’s hostages be saved?

The last message that Shaked Haran saw from her father was just after 7.30 a.m. on the Saturday of the Hamas attacks in Israel. Her parents were in the safe room of their house in Kibbutz Be’eri, just outside the Gaza Strip. The message said that ‘masked terrorists’ were ‘swarming’ everywhere. ‘We don’t think we’ll make it out alive.’ Then nothing. When Israeli soldiers finally arrived, the house was a smoking ruin. But there was no sign of her parents, nor of her sister, her sister’s husband, their daughter aged three and son aged eight, nor of an aunt and her 12-year-old daughter, nor of another aunt and an uncle. Ten members of the family were gone. Hours later, one of her father’s friends got through to his mobile. It was answered by someone shouting in Arabic: ‘Hostage! Hostage! Gilad Shalit! Gaza!’

American Despotism: The Anti-American Left Emerges

America’s students adopt far-leftist ideology.

The roots of the current cultural and political crises, in part, began with the emergence of the anti-American left.

What began as a largely idealistic effort to create an alternative to capitalism rapidly degenerated into an assault on American values and the American system. When the existing system did not implement the bold — often radical — changes demanded by the reformers, their idealized intellectual analysis rapidly devolved into extreme demands and actions.

RCMP tells owners to turn in guns after banned fully automatic model sold in Canada

The RCMP has told owners to turn in fully automatic military surplus firearms after hundreds were misidentified and allowed into Canada for commercial sale.

The Mounties say the registrar of firearms immediately froze records relating to the 245 prohibited guns upon discovery of the issue to prevent further sale or transfer of the firearms.

The registrar believes three firearm businesses imported and registered the guns as semi-automatic Tavor X95s that are classified as restricted firearms and can be sold in Canada.

Hamas, Israel and the Hypocrisy of Arab and Muslim Leaders

Most of the Arabs who are now condemning Israel for its military strikes against the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group in the Gaza Strip have never uttered a word against Hamas’s rocket attacks on Israel. These Arabs, who are now weeping over the plight of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, chose to turn a blind eye to Hamas’s repressive measures against the residents of the Gaza Strip. They also chose to look the other way as Hamas accumulated an arsenal of weapons and built dozens of offensive tunnels along the border with Israel. Incredibly, most of these Arabs still have not denounced Hamas for initiating the war on October 7, when hundreds of its heavily armed members crossed into Israel and massacred more than 1,400 Israelis, wounded thousands more, and abducted more than 200 hostages who were taken to Gaza.
