‘It was a mistake’: Doug Ford says government will reverse Greenbelt land swap decision

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says his government will be reversing its Greenbelt land swap decision and won’t make changes to the Greenbelt in the future.

The premier said he broke a promise when he decided to open the Greenbelt for housing development.

A person is allowed to change their mind but this whole deal was “Old Boy Sketchy” from the start.

Canada has Indian diplomats’ communications in bombshell murder probe: sources

The Canadian government has amassed both human and signals intelligence in a months-long investigation of a Sikh activist’s death that has inflamed relations with India, sources tell CBC News.

That intelligence includes communications involving Indian officials themselves, including Indian diplomats present in Canada, say Canadian government sources.

The intelligence did not come solely from Canada. Some was provided by an unnamed ally in the Five Eyes intelligence alliance.

“Sources” – I remember when CBC was certain of the Trump Russia Collusion “Sources”

It doesn’t change anything. The Indians offed a terrorist that the Trudeau government at best turned a blind eye to.

What did Junior think was going to happen?

Did he expect India to send him a thank you note?

Conservatives are taking a cautious approach to India allegation, observers say

Just days after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the astonishing allegation that Canada has “credible intelligence” linking agents of the Indian government to the killing of a Canadian citizen, the scandal has scarcely been mentioned during question period in the House of Commons.

There might be a good reason for that, observers say.

“There’s a lot of landmines here,” said Shakir Chambers, a former Conservative Party staffer and now a principal at Earnscliffe Strategies.

Michael Higgins: Does Trudeau have what it takes to wage diplomatic war with India?

Foreign affairs are a minefield for Justin Trudeau but surely no one expected him to trigger an explosive diplomatic war with India.

This is now a defining moment for the prime minister who must prove himself either a strong and decisive leader or a weak and ineffectual politician. But does Trudeau possess the Churchillian spirit?

Junior is already in enough hot water having grossly overestimated international reaction to his accusation.

The woke mob is ruining Oktoberfest

Cultural appropriation, organic chickens — what is the world coming to?

Cockburn wouldn’t be so skeptical of the radical left nearly as much if they didn’t have an insatiable need to suck the joy out of holidays. First they replaced the Christmas tree with the Kwanzaa bush. Then they told us that tofurkey tastes just as good as the real thing. Now, they are attempting to crush Oktoberfest too.

California’s War On Parents

LA Parents protest school groomers

Policymakers believe the state, not parents, holds authority over children when it comes to sex and gender issues—but families are pushing back.

A promising revolt has begun in California. Seven school districts there have recently passed parental-notification policies. And not a moment too soon. As many parents are discovering, the local school board is the one place where they can effect positive change in their children’s public schools—if, that is, the state doesn’t find a way to stop them.

It’s No Accident The Southern Border Is Collapsing, It’s Intentional

A clip of comedian Louis C.K. on the Joe Rogan show has been circulating on X (formerly Twitter) this week in which he goes on and on about how opening up the southern border would be a good thing because Americans shouldn’t have such a high standard of living compared to the rest of the world, how poor people in other countries just want what Americans have, and how it’s not fair that we have so much. “It shouldn’t be so great here,” he says. So open the border and let them pour in.

Google accused of directing motorist to drive off collapsed bridge

The family of a US man who drowned after driving off a collapsed bridge are claiming that he died because Google failed to update its maps.

Philip Paxson’s family are suing the company over his death, alleging that Google negligently failed to show the bridge had fallen nine years earlier.

Mr Paxson died in September 2022 after attempting to drive over the damaged bridge in Hickory, North Carolina.

A spokesperson for Google said the company was reviewing the allegations.

The case was filed in civil court in Wake County on Tuesday.

Palestinians: Israeli Concessions Are a Sign of Weakness

On the 18th anniversary of Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the Iran-backed Palestinian terror groups are still talking about the need to step up attacks against Israel until the “liberation of all of Palestine,” from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.

These groups still see Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip not as a humanitarian gift to allow the Gazans to build the “Singapore of the Middle East,” as former Israeli President Shimon Peres put it, but instead as the beginning of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s 1974 “Ten Point Plan” (also known as the “phased plan”) for the “comprehensive liberation” of all the land stretching “from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea” — a euphemism for the elimination of Israel. The Plan essentially states that the Palestinians should take whatever land they are given and use it as a launching pad for getting the rest.

Watchdog to probe Toronto policy that directs Trudeau’s shelter-seeking refugee claimants to feds

Toronto’s ombudsman is launching an investigation into the city’s decision to deny refugee claimants space in city shelters and direct them to federal programs.

Ombudsman Kwame Addo says the investigation will determine whether the city met its obligations to treat the claimants and asylum seekers looking for a shelter bed with fairness, dignity, respect and care.
