GOLDSTEIN: Public exposure best remedy to foreign interference

Whatever the outcome of the public inquiry into foreign interference headed by Quebec Court of Appeal Judge Marie-Josée Hogue, the process that led up to it has already been of benefit to Canadians.

Without it, it is difficult to believe Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would have announced in the House of Commons Monday that Canadian security and intelligence authorities are “actively pursuing credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the government of India” and the fatal shooting of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, B.C. on June 18.

Firearms rights group to file injunction to extend amnesty on AR-15 ban

With just six weeks left before amnesty granted under a May 2020 firearms prohibition expires, a Canadian firearm owners’ advocacy group is planning to take the federal government to court.

The injunction, expected to be filed on Friday, comes courtesy of the Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights (CCFR,) who say it’s time the Trudeau Liberals stop leaving scores of Canadian gun owners wondering if their collections will be illegal by Halloween.

Foreign Interference: RCMP investigate death of B.C. man targeted by China

The RCMP is investigating the death of a B.C. man who was a target of Operation Fox Hunt, a Chinese government campaign to pressure expatriates and silence opponents.

Wei Hu, a 57-year-old father of three, lived in a gated $2.8-million property on B.C.’s Harrison Lake. According to a friend, he was a critic of Beijing who left China in 2000.

But even in Canada, he could not escape the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which issued a so-called Red Notice through Interpol seeking his arrest and return to China for supposed financial crimes.

Offed in 2021? The RCMP is only just getting round to this?

No stink will be raised about this of course.

The CSIS leaks happened because Justin wanted to normalize relations with his ChiCom friends.

Trudeau is a danger to our nation’s security.

Poland stops supplying weapons to Ukraine amid grain dispute

Poland has announced it will stop supplying weapons to Kyiv amid a row over grain supplies, in a new crack in western support to Ukraine.

Warsaw had been one of Ukraine’s staunchest allies but the trade dispute has thrown the relationship into doubt.

Mateusz Morawiecki, Poland’s prime minister, said the decision would allow his country to focus on upgrading its military.

Trudeau government has no means to deal with expected flood of 1.4 million international student applications a year by 2027, document shows

Ottawa forecasts 1.4 million international student applications a year by 2027, document shows

The number of foreign students applying to come to Canada each year is forecast by the federal immigration department to rise to 1.4 million by 2027, an internal policy document says, which also raises concerns that such growth is “unsustainable.”

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada forecast the rapid rise in the number of foreign students in a paper last month about establishing a class of “trusted” universities and colleges, which would qualify for faster processing of international student study permits.

Revealed: one in three Europeans now vote anti-establishment

Almost one-third of Europeans now vote for populist, far-right or far-left parties, research shows, with wide support for anti-establishment politics surging across the continent in an increasingly problematic challenge to the mainstream.

Analysis by more than 100 political scientists across 31 countries found that in national elections last year a record 32% of European voters cast their ballots for anti-establishment parties, compared with 20% in the early 2000s and 12% in the early 1990s.

The research, led by Matthijs Rooduijn, a political scientist at the University of Amsterdam, and shared exclusively with the Guardian, also found that about half of anti-establishment voters support far-right parties – and this is the vote share that is increasing most rapidly.

Give it Up CBC: Trudeau’s allegiance to Khalistani radicals & Communist China can’t be helping Canada’s standing in the Five Eye’s intelligence alliance

What are the ‘Five Eyes’? As Canada accuses India, what you need to know about the intelligence alliance

Following Canada’s accusation this week that agents with connections to the Indian government were responsible for the fatal shooting on Canadian soil of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Canada’s Five Eyes allies have so far been reluctant to wade too deeply into the incident.

The CBC’s Evan Dyer reported this week that Canada had already indicated to the U.S. and the U.K. during and immediately following the G20 summit in New Delhi earlier this month that Canada’s already difficult relations with India were about to get even rockier.

Trudeau’s stewardship has isolated Canada with his dubious record of foreign allegiances.

Trudeau announced Canada would be a permanent NATO deadbeat.

We were not invited to join the AUKUS military alliance officially because we would not purchase nuclear subs but more likely because his government is riddled with ChiCom assets.

Alienating India by harboring Khalistani terrorists is not a good look among allies hoping to win India over as a counter to Justin’s admired basic dictatorship.

In short Canada is not a serious international partner, Junior has little more than Gender Language to offer.

President Biden talks to flags at UN

President Biden looked confused again Wednesday as he walked into a giant flag at the United Nations — then appeared to anger Brazil’s president by walking off stage without shaking his hand.

The gaffe-prone oldest US president in history walked into the seven-foot-tall Brazilian flag as he took the stage, taking a moment to get his bearings as the flag wobbled.

Hamilton’s Allowing Homeless Camps in Parks a Sign of Where Canada May Be Headed

The number of homeless encampments nationwide is growing, and so is the case law saying cities can’t remove them.

A landmark court decision in 2009 in British Columbia first established that, in some cases, removing encampments violates the charter right to “life, liberty, and security.” In January 2023, the first Ontario court decision to this effect was handed down in Waterloo.

No Ceiling: Two Nationwide Polls Show Record Support for AfD

Popular support for the right-conservative Alternative for Germany (AfD) has, for the fourth time in the last few months, climbed to a new record high. Amid a deluge of problems facing the nation, including skyrocketing illegal immigration numbers, soaring prices, and a stagnant economy, the left-liberal political class in Germany has, so far, refused to address the concerns of working-class Germans. But even they are beginning to change their tune.
