The Colombian cartels come to Europe

Cocaine production in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia has boomed in the last decade, and so has its importation into Europe

In May this year 87,000 asylum applications were lodged with the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA). This was a 24 percent increase on the number of claims made in May 2022.

Syrians, Afghans, Ivorians and Guineans were heavily represented among those making claims, but there was also a remarkable number of South Americans. Over 7,000 Venezuelans asylum seekers arrived in Europe this May, along with 2,500 Peruvians and 6,900 Colombians. In the case of Colombians, this is a 90 percent increase on 2022. Most filed their asylum claims in Spain, and according to the EUAA, nearly all were first-time applicants.

Canadian media distorts Conservatives’ resolutions to protect kids, women from trans agenda

The mainstream media called a resolution to ban sex-change surgeries for minors a vote against ‘care’ for transgender children.

However much you distrust the mainstream media, it isn’t enough.

On Saturday, September 9, delegates at the Conservative Party of Canada convention voted in favor of two motions aimed at curbing the transgender agenda. Resolution C-7, which called for a ban on sex change surgeries for minors — children and teenagers — while advocating “positive mental and physical health support for all Canadians suffering from gender dysphoria and related mental health challenges” passed by a margin of 69% to 31%.

Spooked by polls, Liberal MPs hope Trudeau hears their concerns as caucus gathers

Some Liberal members of Parliament heading into a national caucus retreat this week say they’re facing blowback from voters at the doorsteps — and they hope the prime minister and his inner circle listen to their concerns before it’s too late.

The Liberals are holding three days of meetings starting Tuesday in London, Ont., a key battleground region of southwestern Ontario, as their party faces its worst polling numbers since forming government in 2015.

The talks are set to focus on making housing more affordable and increasing supply, improving health care and fighting climate change, according to a senior government source.

Wildfire smoke makes rural residents kill themselves say usual experts

Air pollution caused by wildfire smoke linked to elevated suicide risk in rural counties: U.S. research

Exposure to wildfire smoke could have a detrimental impact on not only physical health, but also mental health, according to new research from the U.S. which found that air pollution may elevate the risk of suicide among some demographics.

Researchers combined data on wildfire smoke exposure levels, air pollution concentrations and deaths by suicide in the U.S., and found that a 10 per cent increase in airborne particles in rural counties could cause monthly suicide rates to rise by 1.5 per cent.

The phenomenon was strongest among groups already at risk for suicide who also had a high exposure to outdoor air by living in rural regions. No association was observed between air pollution and suicide risk among urban populations.
