The woke desire to ‘get Trump at all costs’

The fourth indictment against Donald Trump is what I like to call ‘Woke bigotry weaponising bankruptcy’.

Of the people sucked into ‘get Trump at all costs 4.0’, the majority may struggle to cover the exorbitant legal fees for their defence.

Dubbed ‘co-conspirators’, the group of former Trump administration employees will have to defend themselves against (Democrat-funded) claims they allegedly sought to overturn Biden’s election win.

Sobering US intelligence assessment reportedly undercuts Zelensky’s upbeat hopes of Ukrainian victory this year

A PUNCH IN THE GUT: The headline on this morning’s Washington Post is bound to infuriate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and embolden Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“U.S. expects Kyiv to fall short, UNLIKELY TO RETAKE VITAL CRIMEA HUB, Dug-in Russian defenses stymie counteroffensive,” screams the headline in the print edition that landed on driveways and doorsteps of Washington homes this morning. The report cites a classified assessment from the U.S. intelligence community that Ukrainian forces are unlikely to reach the Russian-occupied city of Melitopol, a principal objective of the counteroffensive aimed at severing Russia’s land bridge by year’s end.

The Gathering Middle Eastern Storm: Enduring History Lessons — Part One

As Israel turns 75, it faces an acute existential crisis in the form of an Iran bent on joining the nuclear-weapon-state club. Compounding Israel’s peril is the fact that its primary ally, the United States, sports an administration openly hostile to the Jewish state. Team Biden is obsessed with the desire to make a new accord with Iran akin to that made by former President Barack Obama; it is equally obsessed with pressuring Israel to withdraw fully to its pre-1967 boundaries, which former Foreign Affairs Minister Abba Eban famously called “Auschwitz lines.” And with incredibly foolish perversity, it is intent on prioritizing its twin obsessions over the historic Trump-brokered Abraham Accords, which made for the first “warm” peace between Arab and Jew in the 14 centuries since Islam first appeared on the world scene.

Joe Biden’s Ukraine defense falls apart

President Barack Obama famously warned fellow Democrats in 2020, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f–k things up.”

The warning was ignored by many as an almost brotherly reference to Biden’s habit of making false claims (like being arrested when seeking to see Nelson Mandela) or his continual verbal gaffes.

Biden has always had a certain penchant for bragging, whether it’s claiming a dead man told him he reached a million miles on Amtrak, being a cross-country trucker or fighting off some “bad dude” named Corn Pop.

Justice Requires Fair Procedures

“Justice, justice you shall pursue,” the Bible commands (Deuteronomy 16:20); and that, in doing justice, one must not “recognize faces.”

Commentators ask why the good book repeats the word justice, since every word is thought to have significance. The most relevant is that there are two kinds of justice: substantive and procedural.

The former relates to making the punishment fit the crime; the latter requires that correct procedures be employed to determine whether a crime has been committed.

Joy Reid Falsely Claims DeSantis Fired Prosecutor Because She’s Black

On the eve of the first Republican presidential primary debate of the 2024 election, MSNBC’s Joy Reid decided to get in one last smear against Florida Republican governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis before he takes the stage on Wednesday evening. She did this by inviting the George Soros-backed prosecutor Monique Worrell who DeSantis fired to falsely tell her she lost her job because she’s black. In reality, she was fired for being soft on crime. It had absolutely nothing to do with her race or political party.

Most blame Trudeau Liberals for housing shortage

Who is to blame for the housing crisis? Canadians split in poll

Despite what Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said recently, a new poll suggests 40 per cent of Canadians think his government is to blame for the country’s housing crisis.

Leger surveyed 1,537 people between Aug. 18 and 20, asking a series of questions about the rising cost of housing and what should be done about it.

I don’t know where they get “Split” from.

Lawyers ask Canada’s Supreme Court to hear case of 4 Psycho Muslim Members Of ISIS being held in northeastern Syria

Lawyers for the families of four Canadian men detained in northeastern Syria are asking the Supreme Court of Canada to rule on whether the federal government has to repatriate them.

The men are among many foreign nationals in Syrian detention camps for suspected ISIS members and their families. The camps are run by the Kurdish forces that reclaimed the war-torn region from the extremist group.

In January, Federal Court Justice Henry Brown ruled the four men were entitled to have the federal government make a formal request for their release “as soon as reasonably possible.”

Banning plastic food packaging would be a second big plastics mistake

Much has been made of the federal government’s ban of single-use plastics like straws, takeout containers, grocery bags and cutlery. Though environmentalists claim it was a significant win for the environment, the evidence suggests it will be a net environmental negative in the long run. Not to mention that it will increase the hospitality sector’s costs as it switches to more expensive alternatives. In sum, the ban amounted to symbolic policy, driven more by uninformed perception than reality.

Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger list of a jet which crashed killing all on board, Russia’s civil aviation authority has said.

Earlier, Wagner-linked Telegram channel Grey Zone reported the Embraer aircraft was shot down by air defences in the Tver region, north of Moscow.

The jet, which was flying from the capital to St Petersburg, was carrying seven passengers and three crew.

The needles and the damage done: Inside one neighbourhood’s battle over unsafe injection, crime and murder

They began appearing on the ground around the South Riverdale Community Health Centre with increasing regularity after a new safe injection site opened there in late 2017. South Riverdale is an independent centre built in 1998 in Leslieville, just east of downtown Toronto, home to about 30,000 people. It also happens to be across the street from the house where I have lived with my wife and son for 14 years.

The Trudeau government doesn’t care about rural Canada

KAMOURASKA, QUE.—The summer is almost over, and with it, the massive retreat of urban visitors from the rural areas that are Canada’s summer playgrounds. I see them from June until now on the Trans-Canada Highway nearby, the Ontario licence plates speeding east to Atlantic Canada, or returning back. They may be tourists who decided to pass on Maine or Massachusetts this year, or they are folks from “down home” visiting family and friends before returning “upalong.”

This is self evident in light of the housing crisis Trudeau’s liberal party created and its “effort” to solve it.

The Liberals will not back down on their mass immigration scam which according to their top thinkers will make everyone richer by making everyone poorer.

They know mass immigration will continue to drive up the cost of rent and home ownership.

They also know that no magic wand exists to create new housing and it will be many years before supply meets demand.

The increase in costs is naturally higher in urban centres that attract the most immigrants.

Unfortunately demand is so great the increase in housing costs has spread far beyond urban borders and now small towns feel the same pressures city dwellers do.

However the large urban centres like The GTA and Montreal also happen to be Liberal Party strongholds.

Strongholds they’ll need in order to form yet another minority government with Sell-Out Singh.

Do you think the Liberals are going to trash the Home Equity their most consistent supporters have accrued?

Me neither.
