Montreal Groups Had Reported Ties to China’s United Front Long Before Being Suspected as Chinese Police Stations

The community organizations in the Montreal area being investigated by the RMCP for hosting suspected Chinese police stations have had formal ties since at least 2016 to a Chinese regime entity which the Canadian government says is involved in espionage.

The federal police force indicated in March it’s investigating Centre Sino-Québec de la Rive-Sud (CSQRS) and its sister organization in Montreal, the Service à la famille chinoise du Grand Montréal (SFCGM), two not-for-profits which have been tending to the needs of Chinese immigrants for decades.

Teen accused of killing beloved mama swan flashes creepy smile during arrest

He’s smiling like the cat that ate the canary.

One of the upstate teens accused of killing and eating an adored mother swan flashed a creepy grin during his arrest Wednesday, according to video footage of the bust posted online.

Eman Hussan, 18, strutted like a peacock for cameras, while being perp walked by cops in Manlius, where he was charged with grand larceny for joining with two underage pals to swipe a town-owned swan named Faye on Memorial Day, cook her for dinner and kidnap her four babies.

When Danielle Smith says she wants a reset with Ottawa, she means on her terms alone

It was eight minutes into her 12-minute victory speech when Danielle Smith got into the stuff the United Conservative crowd liked more than anything, other than the victory itself.

The “warning to Ottawa” — the one she said she hoped Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberals were listening to (at a few minutes before 2 a.m Eastern on Tuesday morning).

The premier, now armed with a mandate, urged Ottawa to scrap its plans for a net-zero electrical grid in 12 years, as well as the Liberals’ proposed regulations to cap emissions from the carbon-intensive oil and gas sector.

Facebook and Instagram are about to start blocking news for random Canadians. Here’s what it will look like if you’re targeted

OTTAWA—Meta, the tech giant that owns Facebook and Instagram, will soon start blocking the sharing and posting of news content for some Canadians on those platforms as part of a testing strategy that could become permanent — and rolled out nationwide — if Ottawa’s online news bill passes unchanged.

In the coming days, Meta will introduce the tests in preparation for the potential passage of Bill C-18, or the Online News Act, which it opposes.

WARMINGTON: Poilievre’s ‘gotcha moment’ on Gropey Trudeau a legendary debate KO or low blow?

It was either a knockout moment for the political history books or a “despicable” low blow unbecoming in the House of Commons.

It depends on which side of the aisle you are on.

There are photos floating about of an underaged young lady Trudeau is alleged to have diddled accompanied by the unproven allegation that an NDA and large payout were involved in Justin’s sudden exit from his teaching position.

Why has no one sued over the Trudeau and alleged victim photo? Disclosure issues?

Anti-Putin partisans shell Russian town four miles from Ukraine border

Russian anti-Putin partisans said they were conducting a raid on the town of Shebekino a little over four miles across the Ukrainian border in Belgorod province, the second partisan attack inside Russia in less than two weeks.

The Russian Volunteer Corps, based in Ukraine, said it had shelled the local Russian administrative building, while dramatic footage of a large block with multiple fires on the roof was posted in a local Telegram messenger channel.

US announces $300m arms package for Ukraine – with a caveat that weapons not be used in Russia

The United States has announced a new $300m arms package for Ukraine, including air defense systems and tens of millions of rounds of ammunition – but warned Kyiv that US weaponry should not be used to attack within Russia.

“We have been very clear with the Ukrainians privately – we’ve certainly been clear publicly – that we do not support attacks inside Russia. We do not enable and we do not encourage attacks inside Russia,” said National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.

Sabrina Maddeaux: David Johnston determined to destroy faith in democracy

You could fill a newspaper’s obituary page with all the institutions Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have marred, stomped over like defiant toddlers in the throes of a tantrum and ultimately dealt crippling blows it will take years to recover from, if ever.

The latest: governors general, and the once bipartisanly esteemed David Johnston. The special rapporteur could’ve easily retired in relative peace, but instead Trudeau recruited him back to public life to serve as what very much looks like his puppet.

All these years he’s been in China’s pocket.

Stellantis says reports of deal to keep EV battery plant in Canada are premature

Stellantis says there is not yet a final deal to save a $5-billion electric vehicle battery plant in Windsor, Ont., as high-stakes negotiations between Ottawa, Ontario and the company continue around billions in additional subsidies for the facility to stay in Canada.

The global auto manufacturing giant on Thursday denied a report the previous day by the Toronto Star that a “tentative deal” between the company and federal and provincial governments had been reached.

SkyNet Watch: An AI Drone ‘Attacked the Operator in the Simulation’

Maybe we won’t ever have to worry about Chinese experiments in artificial intelligence; maybe our own military experiments in artificial intelligence will get here first and create their own problems. At a recent Royal Aeronautical Society defense conference, a U.S. Air Force colonel described a simulated test in which an AI-enabled drone “decided that ‘no-go’ decisions from the human were interfering with its higher mission – killing SAMs – and then attacked the operator in the simulation.”

As Europe founders, is common sense making a long-overdue return?

EUROPE appears to be falling apart. Germany is now officially in recession as de-industrialisation follows its green energy policies and the catastrophic damage to the Nord Stream pipelines. As Bloomberg put it last week: ‘Europe’s economic engine is breaking down’. France remains in uproar as protests continue nationwide. And any idea that that it is trying to free itself from the shackles of carbon neutrality is wishful thinking at best, naïve at worst. Dutch farmers are still under attack from their own government after the EU approved a farm buy-out plan to meet their climate goals.

Perhaps it is not surprising that the European Parliament hosted an event a couple of weeks ago titled ‘Beyond Growth‘, as that is the clear direction of travel for much of Europe.

Elon Musk is antisemitic and George Soros isn’t? Huh?

If Elon Musk is antisemitic but George Soros isn’t then self-evident facts and common sense make Deborah Lipstadt look silly.

Elon Musk took to twitter to call Soros a misanthrope. “Soros reminds me of Magneto,” he tweeted, comparing him to a comic book character named Magneto from Marvel’s X-Men series. For good measure Musk later added another touch to the portrait. “He wants to erode the very fabric of civilization. Soros hates humanity.”

So what? I too compared the humungous Hungarian to a comic strip character.

Meet The Violent Anarchist Behind DHS’s ‘Pyramid Of Far-Right Radicalization’ Scandal

Last week, the Media Research Center (MRC) published a report gleaned from Freedom of Information Act requests that shows how the Biden administration has weaponized the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to target political opponents. DHS provided $352,109 in grant funding to the University of Dayton’s PREVENTS-OH counter-extremism project. The grant application was based in part on the work of openly anarchist Antifa-affiliated Michael Loadenthal, a postdoctoral researcher at the university who, by his own admission, is a far-left violent extremist.

Diversity hire for Washington’s brand new diversity office fired amid reports of anti-diversity

Talk about a bureaucrat from the underworld. According to the Democrat governor who hired her, there were “concerns” with Dr. Karen Johnson’s professional performance, so he had to let her go — but the details of Johnson’s firing make for a spicy spectacle. “Concerns” doesn’t quite fit; “nightmare” seems more appropriate.

The RAF’s woke discrimination

Even the armed forces have fallen to divisive identitarian dogma.

Of all the institutions to fall to wokeness, the UK’s Royal Air Force might seem an unlikely candidate. You might have thought that the divisive campaign across elite institutions to introduce racially aware policies, to provide leg-ups to supposedly ‘vulnerable’ women and minorities, all allegedly in the name of righting past wrongs, would have run aground with the armed forces. Only the most committed bigot could care about the skin pigmentation, or (ahem) undercarriage equipment, of the person charged with protecting their homeland, so long as he or she is committed and competent. Surely, the RAF has more pressing concerns than the precise ethnic and sexual makeup of its recruits?
