The game will soon be over in Western Europe – I want to leave, but to where?

Avignon France – City of Popes

The main cause is the rejection by the ruling elites of the values on which Western civilization was founded, not immigration.

“I suspect that our intellectuals who admire Islam would be horrified if Islamic norms were imposed on them”, declares this week Rémi Brague, a medievalist at the Sorbonne and one of the leading experts on Islam.
Last Friday it was enough to go to Le Pontet, 17,000 inhabitants on the outskirts of Avignon. The stadium fills up, in a phenomenal time lapse that says a lot, if not all, about how one religion falls and another takes its place. It is the great Islamic prayer that marks the end of Ramadan.

Avignon, the “city of the Popes”, in the Paris Match investigation today has become “the city of the Salafis”. “Most of the passers-by look alike, black veils for women, baggy afghan pants for men,” says Paris Match. “Most of them wear the believer’s beard, long and sometimes dyed with henna, as in the time of the Prophet. It seems to go back fourteen centuries. Gender segregation is respected: hairdressers for women, inaccessible to men; bars full of men, inaccessible to women. They serve coffee, tea, lemonade… Everything, except alcohol. It is a mini-Islamic republic”.

Xi Jinping copies the Stalin playbook

Washington finds itself waiting to see where the history-altering blow from China will fall

The general secretary of China’s Communist Party is a different kind of leader. Now in his third five-year term, Xi Jinping believes that time is running out for him to secure his legacy as Mao Zedong’s true successor. He spent a decade dismantling the technocracy and politburo consensus government ushered in by Deng Xiaoping after Mao’s death, rolled back the authority of local party nomenklatura in favor of more centralized control from Beijing, and worked to subordinate China’s economy to the Communist Party’s (meaning Xi’s) political priorities.

Yes, Trump Can Win Again

The persistent naysayers need to take a lesson from Reagan.

As Ronald Reagan might say — there they go again.

The “they” this time around is the Never Trump chorus insisting that not only can’t former President Donald Trump win the 2024 election, but he shouldn’t even be trying.

Spy Games: Why Private Companies Now Dominate Domestic Espionage

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” That rhetorical gem, credited to various scientists and political leaders, shows up on mouse pads and posters and wherever else suitable inspiration is found wanting. It is also a remarkably accurate mission statement for two professions: financial investors and spies. In both occupations, a person is rewarded for either (1) collecting and processing enough available information to predict future events or (2) creating a set of preconditions that will make future events all but certain.

Another swell public appointment by Junior Trudeau …

Canada’s first accessibility commissioner facing investigation of claims that he mistreated staff

A year after the federal government praised its “historic appointment” of Canada’s first accessibility commissioner, the government has ordered an external investigation into claims that he mistreated staff, CBC News has learned.

Justice Minister David Lametti said he became aware of “the situation” in January and asked his department to look into it.

I guess it only follows that a diseased mind like Junior’s would appoint like minded sickos.

Auto Worker’s Union Withholds Support for Biden’s Reelection Campaign Over His EV Policies

United Auto Workers (UAW) is delaying its endorsement of President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, according to a May 2 union memo.

The Detroit-based union is holding back out of concern for recent Biden administration policies that encourage the transition to electric vehicles (EVs).

The UAW is in for a rude awakening I suspect.

Canada received assurances from Kurdish authorities it can repatriate two more evil ISIS whores from Syria: lawyer

A lawyer representing five Canadians held in a detention camp in northeastern Syria says he’s been given assurances the federal government will repatriate them, but doesn’t know when that will happen.

The two Canadian women and three teenage girls were supposed to board a repatriation flight last month with 14 other Canadians. But they never made it.

The five Canadians went missing for more than 10 days, and later reported being detained and mistreated by their Kurdish guards rather than being transported to the pick-up point at al-Roj camp, according to their lawyers.

Vancouver man arrested for allegedly selling crack, heroin, other drugs from mobile trailer

Vancouver police have arrested a man who they allege was selling hard drugs out of a mobile trailer in the Downtown Eastside.

The Vancouver Police Department said its organized crime section began investigating after an illicit drug dispensary started operating on Wednesday at the corner of Main And East Cordova streets.

A male suspect is facing charges of selling cocaine, crack, methamphetamine and heroin from the trailer.

I’m reminded of when Toronto drivers were plagued by Squeegee thugs and Olivia Chow suggested we should praise their entrepeneurial spirit.

First Family Of Sleaze: The battle between the White House and Hunter Biden

Joe Biden likes to say that Hunter Biden is the smartest man he knows. According to an Axios scoop this morning, that opinion is in the minority in the White House. Hunter’s advisers want to set up a legal defense fund to pay for “the most expensive legal team in America,” as Rep. James Comer put it. That way, Hunter could get lots of people to pay for his attorneys while posing as a starving artist.

The Bidens are vile.

Here’s why Doug Ford has no love for Pierre Poilievre

Doug Ford and Justin Trudeau: So far apart and yet so closely connected.

Doug Ford and Pierre Poilievre: So similar in party branding and yet so disconnected in political marketing.

As Ontario’s Progressive Conservative premier, Ford keeps sharing the same stage with Trudeau, the Liberal prime minister — subsidizing the same factories and laughing at each other’s jokes (even at the expense of Poilievre). This isn’t the first time two first ministers from rival political parties have been so close ― Bill Davis and Pierre Trudeau also came together on the Constitution.
