Wagner chief rages at Russia’s generals and threatens Bakhmut pullout

Standing in a field littered with corpses, the Russian mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin has recorded an expletive-ridden video personally blaming Russia’s top defence chiefs for losses suffered by fighters in Ukraine.

In a separate message, Prigozhin also said Wagner troops would leave the besieged eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut next week.

“These are Wagner lads who died today. The blood is still fresh,” Prigozhin says in an extraordinary clip, pointing to roughly three dozen bodies that he says are those of the Wagner fighters.

Toronto better start praying for that asteroid … Olivia Chow maintains lead in mayoral election, new poll shows

Olivia Chow marching with local Islamist anti-semite Zafar Bangash

According to the pollster’s survey of 1,056 people, Chow holds 22 per cent of the vote, followed by Ana Bailao and Josh Matlow at 11 per cent each.

Crucially, 30 per cent of polled respondents are still undecided on how they’ll vote on Election Day.

So far no one on the right appears to have much traction if the polls and media are to be trusted.

Everything will get worse if Chowcescu is elected.

You think taxes, crime, homelessness and the war on the car and all your other freedoms are bad now?

Just wait until you’ve had a taste of Chow.

“At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the monarch and she explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a complete catastrophe and described her as evil,” the source claimed.

“Everybody’s eyebrows hit the ceiling,” the source recalled.

“It was out of character for the Queen to use such a word as ‘evil’ to describe Meghan, but she saw straight through her.

China hits out at Canada over claim it targeted MP’s family

China has accused Canada of “slander and defamation” after it said Beijing targeted a member of its parliament and his family.

On Friday, China said the allegation that it attempted to intimidate Conservative MP Michael Chong over his anti-China stance was “nonsense”.

Mr Chong, 51, previously accused China of human rights abuses.

Canada is considering expelling Chinese diplomats over the issue and summoned its ambassador on Thursday.

Young adults are giving up on home ownership, and a lot of them are furious about it

Falling house prices have failed to make home ownership more affordable. Young adults are not taking it well.

To gauge the mood of Gen Z and millennials on home ownership, I ran a survey in the Carrick on Money newsletter last month. Of the 1,545 people between the ages of 20 and 40 who replied, 52 per cent described themselves as either furious or angry about housing affordability.

The article is fine from a numbers point of view but fails to discuss the factors that have created the housing crisis such as Canada’s economically ruinous mass immigration policy which is creating a national wave of poverty.

A divorce between the daughter of the late Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe and her husband has exposed the vast wealth amassed by her family during more than three decades of misrule.

Bona Mugabe, 33, sued for divorce from Simba Mutsahuni Chikore, a former airline pilot, at the country’s High Court in late March. She claimed that after nine years the relationship had broken down irretrievably owing to his activities outside marriage — legal shorthand for adultery.

‘We Will Never Forget’: Canadians and Americans React to US Lifting COVID Border Restrictions

While the United States recently announced it will end its COVID-19 vaccine requirements for international air travellers and at the Canadian border, The Epoch Times spoke with some Canadians and Americans who expressed deep frustration with the rules being implemented in the first place, vowing not to forget being separated from their loved ones.

“We will never thank a government whose deliberate implementation of discriminatory, baseless mandates, targeted a group whose only threat was the rejection of their false political science narrative,” said Hope Vanbeselaere Marsh, a Manitoba woman who was separated from her husband in Texas in March 2020.

Kamala Harris placed in charge of reining in AI … not kidding

The White House has unveiled its plan to crack down on the AI race amid growing concerns it could upend life as we know it.

The Biden Administration said the technology was ‘one of the most powerful’ of our time, adding: ‘But in order to seize the opportunities it presents, we must first mitigate its risks.’

The plan is to launch 25 research institutes across the US that will seek assurance from four companies, including Google, Microsoft and ChatGPT’s creator OpenAI, that they will ‘participate in a public evaluation.’

Too much intellectual property from Canadian universities ends up in foreign hands

Some prominent Canadian universities, including McGill, the University of Toronto, the University of Waterloo and the University of British Columbia, have drawn criticism for their researchers’ continuing collaborations with Chinese telecom giant Huawei – partnerships that transfer Canadian-funded intellectual property offshore.

But the case of Huawei is not an isolated one. Judging from our recent research, more than half of industry-directed intellectual property (IP) that Canadian universities generate is assigned to foreign companies. And not all those companies operate within the ambit of what could be described as friendly democracies.

Academics are the first to become turncoats.

Why the bombshell Joe Biden bribery allegation matters

Joe Biden – He ain’t in charge of anything except Window Licking

Sen. Charles Grassley’s and Rep. James Comer’s subpoena to the FBI to release an unclassified document it holds about a whistleblower allegation of a “criminal scheme” involving Joe Biden, is nominally about whether the FBI ever bothers to investigate allegations of crime involving Democrats.
