Foreign-Born Member Of Congress Threatens Republicans With Prison When Democrats Regain Power

Foreign-born Rep. Shri Thanedar openly threatened to prosecute his political enemies this week — a reminder of what Democrats plan to do if they get power back.

During a committee hearing Tuesday, Thanedar — struggling to speak English — threatened to prosecute Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott when President Donald Trump is out of office.

NYT’s marijuana turn is a victory for public health

Almost seven years ago, the New York Times invited me to speak to its editorial board about the dangers of legalising marijuana. I was excited to get the chance to tell this key institution of American life what I — and many other researchers — knew to be true: that legalising and commercialising the drug would be a public health disaster. Suffice to say, I didn’t receive much support.

That is why this week’s turn of events is so significant. On Monday, the paper published an editorial entitled: “It’s time for America to admit it has a weed problem.” It argued that marijuana’s harms are more serious than commonly acknowledged, and that commercialisation and social normalisation are amplifying them.

Jamie Sarkonak: Immigration minister’s refusal to deport knifepoint robber is another justice failure

Stupid rhymes with witch

By the time repeat violent offender Oral Carver Lewis threatened to kill an Ontario Crown prosecutor, he had already been under a deportation order for two years.

“You b–ch, I’m going to kill you,” he told her during court in January 2022. “You watch, I’m going to f–king kill you…. When I get out of jail, I’m going to kill you, Crown. I’m going to find you and kill you. I’m going to kill you the f–k.” A few months earlier, he made vulgar comments to her and pulled his pants down in court, exposing himself.

The NHS Would be Wrong to Stop Discouraging Cousin Marriage

According to the Telegraph, the NHS has been told to “stop discouraging cousin marriage”:

The National Child Mortality Database (NCMD) told NHS staff “it is unacceptable to discourage close relative marriage in a blanket way” because parents are only at a “slightly increased” risk of having a child with a genetic disorder.

It said genetic counsellors should meet the couple and their relatives to advise them on how to “consider arranging future marriages outside of the family”.

Organized crime does not operate in isolation. Canada should stop acting as if it does

The recent arrests of members of the Toronto Police Service on allegations of collusion with organized crime have sent shockwaves well beyond the city. They raise uncomfortable questions not only about individual misconduct, but about how Canada understands organized crime, and its willingness to expose and challenge the political, economic and institutional relationships that allow criminal organizations to endure.

Muslim terrorist who plotted to bomb UK army base will be free in weeks despite prison officials saying he is too dangerous to be let out

Zahid Iqbal Muslim Terrorist

An Al Qaeda-inspired terrorist who plotted to bomb a UK army base will be released from jail in weeks despite experts warning he is too dangerous to be set free.

Zahid Iqbal was a member of a terrorist gang who plotted an attack at a Territorial Army centre in Luton where a remote-controlled toy car would be used to carry a homemade bomb.

The co-leader of the group planned to make the bomb based on instructions in an Al Qaeda manual called ‘Make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom – by the Al Qaeda chef’.

OLDCORN: Another transgender mass shooter, and no, gun laws aren’t the problem

Tumbler Ridge Transgender Mass Shooter

They are already sanitizing him.

Within hours of the massacre at Tumbler Ridge Secondary, the usual machinery kicked into gear. Politicians offered “thoughts and prayers.” Flags lowered. Prime Minister Mark Carney “suspended” his schedule. Pierre Poilievre tweeted his condolences, and meant them, because that is what decent people do when a community is gutted.

But nobody said what Jesse Strang actually was, transgender.

Why was a dog-humping paedo treated like a saint?

Darren Moore – child rapist – drag queen

Journalism takes you to some strange places. Alas, to date in my career, I have yet to be asked to review a luxury hotel or a Michelin-starred restaurant. Instead, my lot is to probe the creeps and the criminals, the dregs and the drag queens. Today’s specimen, the convicted child rapist and popular drag queen, Darren Moore (full name Darren Haydn Meah-Moore), ticks every box.

U.S. House votes against Trump’s tariffs on Canada

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution against President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canadian goods, delivering a stinging rebuke to the administration for launching a trade war on its northern neighbour.

The House voted 219-211 in favour of a resolution seeking to terminate the national emergency that Trump invoked in February 2025 to empower his tariffs on a range of imports from Canada.

Six Republicans defied the White House and joined the Democrats in voting for the measure.

Trump warns GOP lawmakers they will ‘suffer’ serious consequences if they vote to end Canada tariffs

The warning occurred shortly before six House Republicans voted with Democrats to end the tariffs in a 219-211 split, but the vote is largely considered symbolic because Trump is expected to veto it, which would then require a two-thirds majority in both chambers to overturn.

The Clintons Are So Over

What do you call a former two-term president of the United States and his wife, a former first lady, secretary of state and nominee for president? In the Democratic Party, you call them baggage.

After years of scandal, former President Bill Clinton is caught up in the Jeffrey Epstein revelations. Last August, the House Committee on Government Reform sent Clinton a subpoena based on his travel on Epstein’s airplane, on alleged contact with Epstein’s victims and on his alleged closeness with Ghislaine Maxwell. At the same time, the committee sent a subpoena to failed 2016 presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, basically asking for what she knew about Epstein via her husband.

Behind Canada’s $900M auto theft crisis: Organized crime, the Hells Angels, kid thieves and crooked shipping companies

Young offenders, Hells Angels and rogue shipping company owners are all part of a highly organized auto-theft ecosystem that stole 46,999 vehicles in Canada last year and cost Canadians $900 million in insurance costs, the Équité Association insurance industry group says.

“It’s definitely organized,” said Bryan Gast, national vice-president, intelligence and investigations at Équité Association, in an interview as the association announced its annual report on auto theft in Canada.

There were 19,319 vehicles taken in Ontario, with trucks, sport utility vehicles and high-end vehicles, such as Ferraris and Lamborghinis, being the most popular with thieves, Gast said.
