Ontario union OPSEU alleges former executives took kickbacks in $24M lawsuit

One of the province’s largest public sector unions has launched a $24 million lawsuit against three former senior employees and at least 15 individuals or businesses it alleges they had undeclared ties to, accusing them of a scheme including payments for bogus or unfinished work as well as kickbacks.

The statement of claim, which has not been proven in court, was filed Thursday by the Ontario Public Service Employees’ Union and comes amid its ongoing financial forensic audit and just two months after it filed a $6 million-plus case in Ontario’s Superior Court, also alleging financial irregularities.

Utah Teacher Has Kids Eat Bugs Because Cows Are Destroying the Environment

In the interest of full disclosure, I have eaten bugs. I was in Cambodia on a human trafficking awareness mission. A woman was selling roasted crickets, and I bought a bag for a buck and ate one or two. Maybe three. I always believe in trying new dishes so I thought, “Why not?” They weren’t half bad. A little heavy on the salt and soy sauce. And to be honest, I wouldn’t eat a bowl full of them while watching football. But they were alright. That said, I have two steaks marinating in the fridge right now that are headed to grill this evening. The upshot is, I have tried eating ze bugs. I know whereof I speak when I say I’ll take a pass. I’ll take a cheeseburger every time. Except on steak night. Which is tonight.

David Johnston is a man of high integrity. But as rapporteur? We should be in high dudgeon

David Johnston is a remarkable Canadian, a model of integrity and decency throughout a lifetime of personal accomplishment and public service – as professor of law, as principal of McGill and as one of our finest Governors-General.

He is also a wildly inappropriate choice as independent special rapporteur, in the matter of China’s attempts to interfere in Canadian elections, and whatever blame might attach to the Liberal government for allowing them.

Johnston is no saint, just another seedy member of the China class.

Popularity of monarchy in Canada falls to lowest level in 14 years: poll

The monarchy’s popularity in Canada has fallen to its lowest level in 14 years, suggests a new poll released Wednesday by Research Co.

As King Charles’s May coronation draws closer, fewer than one in five Canadians, or 19 per cent of the 1,000 individuals surveyed, would like the monarch to remain Canada’s head of state.

While the King, personally, is viewed more favourably by Canadians, at 32 per cent, his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth, was exactly twice as popular in February 2022, based on another Research Co. poll conducted before her death.

Drug addled perverted son of pervert President sues laptop repair shop owner, citing invasion of privacy

Hunter Biden has filed a sweeping countersuit against the computer repair shop owner who said that Biden dropped his laptop off and never claimed it, a legal action that escalates the battle over how provocative data and images of the president’s son were obtained nearly five years ago.

In the counterclaim, filed on Friday morning in U.S. District Court in Delaware, Biden and his attorneys say that John Paul Mac Isaac had no legal right to copy and distribute private information. They accuse him and others of six counts of invasion of privacy, including conspiracy to obtain and distribute the data.

Trudeau continues to insult Canadians as he defends China Class crony David Johnston, accuses Conservatives of ‘horrific’ attacks on special rapporteur

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is accusing the Conservatives of launching “horrific, partisan attacks” on former governor general David Johnston.

Trudeau delivered a full-throated defence of Johnston on Friday after tapping him this week to serve as special rapporteur on foreign interference.

The Conservatives say Johnston is too close to Trudeau, while the Bloc Québécois allege he has been “chummy” with China.

The Rapporteur schtick is a sham, the public inquiry schtick is a sham. What’s needed is that our government be deloused of the China Class starting with Useful idiot Trudeau and his fellow travelers.

Vancouver Mayor Plays Race Card In Effort To Escape ChiCom Interference Scrutiny

Dodgy response.

Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim rejects ‘insinuations’ he won election due to Chinese interference

Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim denounced what he said were “insinuations” made in a news article alleging Canada’s spy agency found evidence of China’s Vancouver consulate interfering in last year’s municipal election.

“I’ll just say it: if I was a Caucasian male, we’re not having this conversation,” said Sim, Vancouver’s first mayor of Chinese descent.

“If there’s proof of foreign interference in our election, I want to know about it because I’m a Canadian … but right now there are a bunch of insinuations.”

How Justin Trudeau’s government was compromised by the CCP

Justin Trudeau’s government has been compromised by the Chinese Communist Party and Canada’s democracy is in jeopardy. This is a startling claim, all the more so for the fact that Canadian intelligence officials are the ones making it.

Over the past month, a series of leaks from within CSIS, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, has stirred up an astonishing storm. In November, it was leaked that a clandestine CCP network had funded and infiltrated the campaigns of 11 candidates in 2019’s federal election.

True Finns: “Get Tough on Migrant Crime”

The national-conservative True Finns party (PS) announced its intention to get tough on migrant gang crime if elected. Emphasising ties with migration could put wind in PS’ sails with only a few weeks before Finland heads to the polls.

Helsinki’s chief detective said recently that “gang crime has become the new normal in Helsinki;” PS politicians say it was sadly predictable. According to them, lax measures on mass immigration are at the root of the problem and must be tackled.
