Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau argued on Twitter that “trans woman are women” while celebrating International Women’s Day on Wednesday in a ridiculed tweet.

Why using the military against Mexico’s cartels is catching on

The peace of a border city cannot depend on those who direct drugs and human beings through it

“Slowly at first, then all at once” is the most famous line Ernest Hemingway never wrote, and credit its fame to its accuracy. It might feel like naming the Mexican cartels foreign terror organizations, and passing a bipartisan Authorization of the Use of Military Force against them, is an idea taking hold in Washington at breakneck speed. But it’s been an item of discussion for years.

Imagine the 5th Column.

Dominion and Goliath: Inside the Canadian voting-tech company’s fight with Fox News

A defamation case against Fox News has pitted a voting technology company founded in Toronto against one of the most powerful media organizations on Earth.

Dominion Voting Systems has accused Fox of seeking a “license to knowingly spread lies.” The company is suing Fox for US$1.6-billion, and has succeeded in prying loose a raft of internal communications that have cast the network and its hosts in an unseemly light, revealing their private disbelief of claims about a stolen election even as they gave air to those making exactly such allegations.

‘Profiteering’ of Covid pandemic must never be repeated, world figures warn

The Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz, former first lady of South Africa and Mozambique Graça Machel and former UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon are among nearly 200 signatories to a letter calling on governments to “never again” allow “profiteering and nationalism” to come before the needs of humanity, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a scathing open letter, published on 11 March, current and former presidents and ministers, Nobel laureates, faith leaders, heads of civil society organisations and health experts say Covid-19 vaccines and treatments had been developed with public funding but that pharmaceutical companies had exploited them to “fuel extraordinary profits”.

Biden Administration Allowing Iran’s Mullahs to Join the “Nuclear Club”

Ever since the Biden Administration shifted Washington’s Iran policy from maximum pressure to total appeasement, the ruling mullahs’ nuclear advances have been remarkable.

The Iranian regime is rapidly forging ahead with uranium enrichment. Inspectors from the United Nations nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), recently found uranium particles in Iran that were enriched up to 83.7%, just shy of the 90% needed for nuclear weapons. The enrichment has been taking place in Iran’s underground Fordo nuclear site. Before the Biden Administration, the regime was enriching uranium at 3.5%. This is a remarkable nuclear escalation in just two years.

Former White House strategist Steve Bannon has called Tesla founder Elon Musk “a complete phoney” and accused him of being in hock to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

PROTECTING NATURE, DESTROYING LIVES – The chemist vs. the Dutch farmers

Johan Vollenbroek is accustomed to threats on his life. On a cold January day, as he was opening his mail at his home in the Dutch city of Nijmegen, a fine powder spilled from an envelope.

With the calmness of a trained chemist, Vollenbroek closed the package, washed his hands and dialed the police contact number he’s been told to use to report death threats. The police arrived in full protective gear. It turned out to be silicate, a benign chemical sent with malign intent, but it was not the first time the 73-year-old had received a menacing letter.

A prominent Ontario politician with a history of echoing Beijing’s talking points on controversial issues is urging Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to call an inquiry into Canada’s spy agency, accusing it of a litany of wrongdoing from racial profiling to spreading false allegations.

No different than Justin having the RCMP investigate the CSIS “leaker.”
