CSIS uncovered Chinese plan to donate to Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation

China appears to have targeted Justin Trudeau in a foreign influence operation after he became Liberal Leader in 2013, according to a national security source who said Beijing’s plan involved donating a significant sum of money to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation.

The source said the Canadian Security Intelligence Service captured a conversation in 2014 between an unnamed commercial attaché at one of China’s consulates in Canada and billionaire Zhang Bin, a political adviser to the government in Beijing and a senior official in China’s network of state promoters around the world.

Lackey picked to write report on Chinese election interference ran Trudeau Foundation when big donations came in from China

Everyone suspected the ChiCom funding but no one in the MSM seemed to care much about it.

Trudeau has to go. It is or should be plainly evident to all that Canada has a China Class problem. The CCP has bought its way deep into Canadian institutions to the point that our mainstream political parties, yes all of them, are likely as ChiCom riddled as the Liberal party.

The likes of Dominic Barton and John McCallum are proof that the rot is well connected and well placed.

And haven’t you wondered why Canada is given the cold shoulder by our 5 Eyes allies?

GOP shifts focus of attacks on Biden’s immigration policy to Canada-U.S. border

WASHINGTON – Canada’s border with the United States, the longest in the world and an enduring symbol of bilateral co-operation, has largely avoided becoming a partisan cudgel on Capitol Hill.

That, however, may be about to change.

Two U.S. House Republicans, Rep. Mike Kelly from Pennsylvania and Montana Rep. Ryan Zinke, have enlisted 26 fellow members of Congress for a new coalition focused on immigration, crime and national security at the Canada-U.S. border.

Tory MPs knew what they were getting into with Anderson meeting: organizers

The people who arranged a lunchtime meeting between three Conservative MPs and controversial far-right German politician Christine Anderson are disputing Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s claim that the Canadian legislators went into the gathering with no knowledge of Ms. Anderson’s views.

The two organizers of the meeting, Stacey Kauder and Bethan Nodwell, also say Mr. Poilievre has shown a lack of respect for the many Canadians who turned out for the other events they arranged with Ms. Anderson, which included speaking engagements in several Canadian cities last week.

Waiting for the Media Mea Culpa on the Lab-Leak Theory

The time has come for yet another media reckoning. The U.S. Department of Energy has assessed that the Covid-19 pandemic most likely originated from a laboratory leak, according to a new Wall Street Journal report that offers the latest piece of evidence that the media were wrong to roundly dismiss the theory as a conspiracy for much of the last three years.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot ripped for playing race, gender cards ahead of election

Embattled Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was slammed Monday ahead of this week’s election for claiming that critics of her four-year tenure just don’t want to see “a black woman” in leadership.

Lightfoot, 60, the first black female and first openly lesbian mayor of the Windy City, told the New Yorker in a piece published Saturday that she bristles at her portrayal by the media, even as she has struggled to battle Chicago’s decades-high murder rate.

“I am a black woman — let’s not forget,” she told the outlet. “Certain folks, frankly, don’t support us in leadership roles.”

The election is today. To be honest I’ll miss her if she’s voted out.

The Troubling Islamist Connections of Scotland’s Next Leader

Humza Yousaf – WTF is an Islamic Tartan?

What the hell happened to the Scottish?

British journalist shows how the CIA played a ‘direct’ role in the creation of Google

Google “fundamentally started as a CIA project,” according to journalist and author of Propaganda in the Information Age, Alan MacLeod, who has warned that tech giants’ ties with intelligence agencies pose big problems for freedom of information as well as freedom of speech.

MacLeod, who has extensively researched the ties between the national security state and Big Tech, explained to journalist Whitney Webb on the Unlimited Hangout podcast how a prior investigation by Dr. Nafeez Ahmed found that the CIA and the National Security Agency (NSA) were “bankrolling” research by Sergey Brin at Stanford University, which “produced Google.”

‘Qurangate’ and Britain’s new blasphemy rules

Imagine living in a country so religiously uptight that even making a smudge on a copy of the Quran could turn into a police matter. A country so nervous of offending Islam that even kids could be punished for allegedly disrespecting that religion. A country so determined to ringfence certain religious beliefs from scrutiny or mockery that you might hear actual politicians denouncing as ‘provocative’ and ‘terrible’ any slight against those beliefs.

America on Fire

Across the United States, critical infrastructure is breaking down and blowing up in plumes of toxic smoke

Last year the Fern Hollow Bridge in Pittsburgh collapsed hours before a planned visit by President Joe Biden; he was scheduled to give a speech addressing America’s infrastructure. About an hour’s drive northwest of Pittsburgh sits East Palestine, Ohio, where a train carrying hazardous materials derailed earlier this month, leading to the town’s evacuation and causing a public health crisis that has yet to be resolved. The two incidents, one year and roughly 50 miles apart, are not disconnected: They point to a widespread rot afflicting America’s transportation networks, public schools, health care facilities, energy grid, and other critical infrastructure that is already causing dangerous failures like the ones in Pittsburgh and East Palestine, and which appears likely to get worse before it gets better.

When did believing in biology become a thoughtcrime?

Women’s rights campaigners like Kellie-Jay Keen are being questioned by police for offending trans activists.

Crime must have been swept from the streets of Brighton, with domestic abuse and muggings happily consigned to the past. Because there is surely no other rational explanation as to why officers from Sussex Police took a 300-mile round journey from the south coast to the rural town of Trowbridge in Wiltshire last week.
