In recent days, eye-popping reports about Canada’s unusable tanks and about its over reliance on outside contractors came to light, underscoring the incompetence of the Justin Trudeau Liberal regime in Ottawa.

First, Ukraine is asking countries with German-made Leopard 2 tanks to donate them so it can mount a critically important counter-offensive this spring to drive the Russians out of their country. Kyiv needs 300 of these battle tanks, and nations are stepping up, but Canada, with 82 tanks, has not responded yet. Reports by the Canadian Forces College in 2018 and 2022 say the tanks have been neglected and are useless.

‘Evidence of a genocide’ found during search of Alta. residential school: First Nation investigators

An organization investigating unmarked graves near a residential school in eastern Alberta says it has uncovered “physical and documented evidence of a genocide.”

The Acimowin Opaspiw Society (AOS) released details of its preliminary report Tuesday into “missing children and unmarked burials” at Blue Quills Residential School.

“The investigation’s theory regarding the missing children of the Saddle Lake site, is that they are buried in undocumented mass graves,” the report states.

Canada is considering contributing four Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, senior sources told CBC News — but no decision has been made.

The government could announce the donation of tanks as early as Thursday, the sources said.

CBC News is not identifying the confidential sources because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

Ukraine’s top soldier, General Valery Zaluzhny, has said that if he is to launch a successful counter-offensive, the West will have to provide him with another 300 tanks. This is, of course, a negotiating position. President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government has been very effective in managing western allies: cajoling, demanding and guilting them into providing more than they intended. He’s actually going to be getting more tanks, if not 300, now that Berlin has been browbeaten into lifting its objections. Might Germany’s initial reluctance suggest a changing perception of the war? It has certainly revealed the limited nature of the European powers’ arsenals.

FBI blames North Korea for $100 million US crypto theft

North Korea was behind the theft of $100 million from an American crypto-currency exchange last year, the US government said, part of the Communist regime’s effort to beat sanctions and fund its missile and nuclear weapons programmes.

The FBI said that the Lazarus Group, a hacking organisation believed to be run by the North Korean government, was responsible for the theft last June of $100 million from Harmony’s Horizon, a crypto “bridge” that enables owners of different digital currencies to convert them into one another.

Uniformed officers are seen protecting Trudeau, ensuring he’s able to walk through the street safely.

Big Tech layoffs are hitting the short-lived, so-called “diversity, equity, and inclusion” industry hard in 2023, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

Twitter’s DEI team is down from 30 to just two people, one former employee told Bloomberg. Another DEI employee at a rideshare company was let go and has been unable to find new employment, claiming the industry is stalled as technology companies deal with ongoing financial issues and giant cuts to their workforces.
