Poland ready to build ‘smaller coalition’ to send tanks to Ukraine without Germany
If Germany won’t play ball, then Poland will find other partners to deliver Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in pointed remarks accusing Berlin of foot-dragging in its support of Kyiv against invading Russian forces.
Poland is prepared to go around German opposition to build a “smaller coalition” of countries and find allies willing to send the tanks to Ukraine, Morawiecki said in an interview with the Polish Press Agency published on Sunday.
“We will not passively watch Ukraine bleed to death,” Morawiecki said.

At Wilfrid Laurier University — one of five universities in Ontario where masks are still mandatory — some students are gearing up for an anti-mandate protest at the end of the month at Waterloo Town Square.
The demonstration is being planned by Kamil Bachouchi, a fourth-year philosophy student at Laurier whose posts have gone viral for wearing nonstandard masks to class — he has worn a scuba mask, a piece of romaine lettuce and a garbage bin in lieu of a standard medical mask.

Capt. Andrew Meyer of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said Sunday that the wounded were taken to hospitals and their conditions range from stable to critical. He said the 10 people died at the scene in the city of Monterey Park.
Meyer said people were “pouring out of the location screaming” when officers arrived at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. He said officers then went into the ballroom and found victims as firefighters treated the wounded.

British Museum bans use of “Mummy” out of ‘respect’ for 3,000-year-old dead
It might seem impossible to hurt the feelings of a 3,000-year-old corpse. But woke museum chiefs have stopped using the word ‘mummy’ to describe the remains of ancient Egyptians, all in the name of ‘respect’.
They say the term is dehumanising to those who died and – of course – an unwelcome throwback to Britain’s colonial past.
The phrase now deemed politically acceptable is ‘mummified person’ or ‘mummified remains’.
Feds ‘Committed’ to Complete WEF-Initiated Digital ID Project, Says Transport Canada
Canada’s participation in a World Economic Forum (WEF) initiative to test digital ID in travel had stalled due to the pandemic, but Transport Canada says the entities involved are committed to bringing the project to a close.
“All partners remain committed to working together to close out the project and disseminate the knowledge gained through this initiative,” Transport Canada spokesperson Hicham Ayoun told The Epoch Times.
