Scientist who worked at Wuhan lab says COVID was man-made virus

A scientist who worked at a controversial research lab in China has claimed that COVID was a man-made virus that leaked from the facility, according to a report.

Andrew Huff said COVID leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China two years ago and blamed authorities for the “biggest US intelligence failure since 9/11,” Britain’s The Sun reported Saturday.

The lab has been at the center of fierce debates about the origins of COVID, with both Chinese government officials and lab personnel denying that the virus leaked from the facility.

France accused of funding Putin’s war effort by buying his nuclear fuel

France has been accused of helping to fund Vladimir Putin’s war effort by continuing to import nuclear fuel from Russia.

Greenpeace on Friday called it “scandalous” that uranium was still being bought by European companies to be used in nuclear power stations across the continent.

The campaigning charity this week filmed the arrival of dozens of drums of uranium, both raw and enriched, from Russia at the northern French port of Dunkirk.

MPs expected to pass new criminal code that will also make insulting the president a crime

Indonesia’s parliament is expected to pass a new criminal code this month that would criminalise sex outside marriage and outlaw insults against the president or state institutions, prompting alarm from human rights campaigners.

The deputy justice minister, Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej, said in an interview with Reuters that the new criminal code was expected to be passed on 15 December. “We’re proud to have a criminal code that’s in line with Indonesian values,” he said.

Canada and Indonesia share a long-standing partnership of over 65 years. Since 2000, Canada has provided over $1 billion in official development assistance (ODA) to Indonesia with an average of $44 million (all channels combined) per year over the past 5 years. Bilateral funding to Indonesia in the fiscal year 2021 to 2022 was approximately $13.5 million.

The country’s top military commander, Gen. Micael Bydén, told CBC News that Sweden is also restructuring its armed forces to make it more of a “wartime organization” to be ready in case the conflict with Russia escalates.

TDSB Shithole: Students protest Police presence at their violence ridden school and the shortage of teachers willing to be assaulted

Hundreds of teens from York Memorial Collegiate Institute staged a mass walkout on Friday to protest what they say is an unsafe learning environment, over-policing and a lack of teachers, which means some classes aren’t being taught with kids sent to the library or cafeteria.

… Students said recent media coverage of their school — incidents of escalating violence, armed police responding to a 911 call about a gun and teachers refusing to work because of facilities issues and unsafe conditions — painted youth as criminals.

And of course it’s all due to racism!

Canada opens up work permits to families of foreign workers in effort to fill labour shortage

OTTAWA — The federal government is making it easier for temporary foreign workers to bring their families with them to Canada.

At an event in Edmonton on Friday, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser announced that starting in January, people applying for temporary work permits would also be able to bring their families with them, something previously not permitted in most cases.

The so-called “labour shortage” is a lie. The government is fighting the inflation it created on the the backs of the poor by colluding with Canada’s corporate welfare parasites to keep wages down – the Bank of Canada is on record admitting this. Mass immigration ensures they have have enough compliant wage slaves fighting for crumbs.

The federal government says it is looking at helping to secure the release of 19 Canadian women and children being held in northeastern Syria.

The move comes just before supporters of the six women and 13 children get set to argue in Federal Court that the Liberal government’s long-standing refusal to repatriate them as well as several Canadian men amounts to a breach of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Not one is innocent. They knew exactly what they were getting into when they signed up for Mo’s Murder Inc.

The Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights’ online shop recently offered 10 per cent off clothing, mugs and other items to customers who used “POLY” as a promo code.

… Tracey Wilson, a firearm rights coalition spokeswoman, said the promotion is not about the tragedy, but PolySeSouvient’s Twitter account, which has referred to coalition supporters as gun trolls.

Retired Army Corporal Christine Gauthier, a former Paralympian, testified in Parliament on Thursday that a Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) caseworker made the assisted suicide offer.

After years of frustrating delays in getting the home lift, Gauthier says the caseworker told her: ‘Madam, if you are really so desperate, we can give you medical assistance in dying now.’
