… Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry admits 171 students to its MD program each year: 133 in London and 38 at its Windsor campus.

“Significant changes to the medical school admissions process have taken place over the last several years,” said Western University spokesperson Crystal Mackay, “specifically focused on mitigating barriers for underrepresented populations within medicine, such as those who self-identify as racialized, those from low socioeconomic backgrounds and those from rural or remote areas.”

The House of Commons standing committee on public safety will be hearing from RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki and Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair, as well as current and former top RCMP officials from Nova Scotia.

Deal for Ukraine grain exports due to be sealed in Istanbul

ISTANBUL (AP) — U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan were due on Friday to oversee the signing of a key agreement that would allow Ukraine to resume its shipment of grain from the Black Sea to world markets and Russia to export grain and fertilizers — ending a standoff that has threatened world food security.

Last week, the sides reached a tentative agreement on a U.N. plan that would enable Ukraine to export 22 million tons of desperately needed grain and other agricultural products that have been stuck in Ukraine’s Black Sea ports due to the war. The unblocking of the grain stockpiles will help ease a food crisis that has sent prices of vital commodities like wheat and barley soaring.

How Chinese Corruption Spreads Misery Abroad

Over the past few weeks, several regions in southern, eastern, and central China have experienced torrential rains and large-scale flooding. Affected regions include Hubei province, where Wuhan (the epicenter of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic) is located. So far, more than 140 people have died and over 200,000 people have been displaced from towns, where the floods have damaged houses and other infrastructure. Overall, an estimated 37 million people have been affected by these floods. Economic losses arising from this are estimated to be around $3 billion and might rise further if the situation continues deteriorating.

CIA Director: Russian Invasion of Ukraine a ‘Strategic Failure’

Central Intelligence Agency director William Burns criticized the Russian government on Wednesday for attempting to purchase drones from Iran, suggesting that the move was an indication of the poor state of Russia’s armed forces.

“It’s true that the Russians are reaching out to the Iranians to try to acquire armed drones,” the CIA director and longtime U.S. diplomat said during his remarks at the Aspen Security Forum in Aspen, Colorado—confirming earlier reports that Russia had attempted to purchase drones from Tehran. Some Western experts had treated these claims with skepticism, noting Russia’s traditional role as an arms exporter to Iran rather than the opposite.

The countryside is on fire, The Guardian has published another article about replacing meat with mould grown in vats, and the World Economic Forum wants to block out the sun with a Brazil-sized raft of space bubbles. This isn’t the Great Reset; it’s a mood. A vibe.

Walking the dog at dusk on Tuesday through local woodland, I noticed wilting hazel saplings, poplars shedding foliage, dry yellow leaves crunching underfoot like it’s September. The ground is bone-dry. The wheat in neighbouring fields has ripened a month early.

Public education is as bad as, if not worse than, you’ve heard

At Wesley Yang’s Year Zero substack site, a left-leaning public teacher in a leftist school district published an article describing just how crazy things really are in such schools.  While your children may be behind in reading, writing, and arithmetic, it’s clear they’re getting an extra-large dose of hard-left racism (and probably gender theory and America-hatred, although the essay doesn’t touch on those things).  If you have children or grandchildren in public schools, or you simply care about America’s future, you should read that essay and then pay close attention to your next school board election.

The essay, entitled “Yes, Things Are Really as Bad as You’ve Heard,” sounds like one of the more outlandish Babylon Bee parodies.

The real lesson of the Holocaust is killing Jews.

Nasima Begum, who used to work as the spokeswoman for the Muslim Council of Britain, does not like Jews very much. Past tweets include heartfelt thoughts such as “Death to you Zionist scum”.

This didn’t stop her from getting work with the BBC or being brought on board by the Anne Frank Trust UK to train the “youth” in the arts of tolerance.

Well you certainly can’t say they’re not inclusive!

Uvalde and the deadly consequences of safetyism

The cops’ overly cautious approach made them bystanders to the mass murder of children.

An incredible 376 officers were on the scene at the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas in May – a force larger than the garrison that defended the Alamo. All these officers failed to stop an 18-year-old gunman from murdering 19 children and two teachers. A report into the Robb Elementary School shooting commissioned by the Texas House of Representatives found no single weak point in the authorities’ response. Instead, it indicted every single one of the 23 agencies involved. Any of these could have taken control of the situation, yet none did. ‘They failed to prioritise saving the lives of innocent victims over their own safety’, is the report’s damning verdict.

2 Windsor, Ont., residents charged with mischief in Ambassador Bridge blockade … and still no arrests in the Coastal Gas terror attack

Police in Windsor, Ont., have charged two people alleged to have been organizers of the convoy blockade at the Ambassador Bridge international border crossing more than five months ago.

“During the course of the protest, the Windsor Police Service along with partnering policing agencies worked together to identify participants and the organizers/leaders involved,” a WPS release Thursday says.

Nycole Dicredico, 42, and William Laframboise, 41, of Windsor are both charged with mischief.

NASA’s Internal Discussions of UFOs Revealed in Newly Released Documents

A FOIA request revealed internal NASA emails about UAPs/UFOs, including an invite to an event called, “Extreme Acceleration by UAPs”

A trove of newly released NASA documents about unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) reveals some of the agency’s internal discussions about these mysterious sightings, according to the Black Vault, which obtained the materials via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and published them on Tuesday.  

The Navy films  are compelling but leave much unanswered.

Is it all an elaborate disinformation campaign designed to simultaneously strike fear in the the hearts of the USA’s own citizens and its enemies?

Have the Globalists sold us as food or fertilizer to their Inter-galactic brethren?

Is the government afraid? Should we be?

I want to see a craft up close and personal and shake the hand of the Alien pilot.

Charest’s national co-chair is also on the “Charest Ice” advisory council, along with former senator Marjory LeBreton, who quit Pierre Poilievre’s riding association board because he supported the truckers’ convoy. Whose ideas were odd, but nothing like the limited-government agenda even of Ted Cruz, let alone Barry Goldwater or George Washington. I think the real issue was bad manners.”
