‘These deaths are on Biden’: Death toll in Texas migrant tragedy rises to 50 as Gov. Greg Abbott says President’s ‘deadly open border policies’ is responsible for America’s deadliest human smuggling tragedy ever

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said President Joe Biden’s ‘deadly open border policies’ are to blame for the deaths of the 50 migrants found dead inside an abandoned tractor-trailer in 103-degree heat.

The state’s Republican chief claims the president’s ‘refusal to enforce the law’ caused one of the most deadly incidents of human smuggling along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Firefighters found ‘stacks of bodies’ in a truck next to railroad tracks in San Antonio’s southern outskirts, close to Interstate 35 which runs to the Mexican border, on Monday. There were no signs of water in the truck.

G-7 to throw out another $200 billion for third-world ‘green’ boondoggles

Amid all the partying and gladhanding and making Vladimir Putin a figure of fun, the G-7 summit in Germany managed to avoid the important topics, such as where the hell greenie Germany is going to get energy from and just what it means when it says it’s going to support Ukraine forever.

Instead, it moved into its comfort zone, which was “infrastructure” and greenie energy for the Third World, as if the Third World needed more corruption and energy shortages, as greenie Germany is experiencing. Naturally, its idea was to throw money — mostly American money — at the problem. Doddering Joe Biden was all in for this idiocy and has touted this bad idea as some kind of success story.

So Many Muslims Are Crossing the Border That a Shelter for Muslim Migrants Has Opened in Tijuana

What could possibly go wrong? Border Report notes that “a shelter for Muslim migrants opened over the weekend in Tijuana, the first of its kind in all of Mexico.” This is no small-time effort: “The Latino Muslim Foundation, based in San Diego and Tijuana, raised half a million dollars to make the facility a reality.” Meanwhile, fifty people on the terror watch list have been apprehended at the Southern border so far this year, and there is no telling how many got across without being caught. Welcome to Old Joe Biden’s America.

The Racial Assault on Medical Science and Public Health And its enablers in the I.R.S.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was not uncommon to hear progressives identify the distribution of the virus as “racist,” and to call for a species of reverse racism to remedy the offense. In the words of Ibram X. Kendi – one of the most influential, widely read and intellectually vapid spokesmen for this cause: “The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination….”[1] In medical practice this now means providing special resources and special care to black patients whose medical conditions are allegedly caused by white racism. It is also unconstitutional and a nullification of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which specifically outlaws systemic racism, even against white people.

What progressive extremism experts get wrong

An entire industry has been built on narcissism

… With a finite number of terrorist groups to map and study, the experts needed to branch out: so they heartily embraced the concept of extremism, a category so capacious and permissively malleable that it encompasses not only behaviour and thought but conceivably anything that the expert in question deems politically undesirable or “problematic”. This made the field acutely vulnerable to exploitation by political activists whose interest is less to study extremists than to manufacture them in an effort to stigmatise and silence their political opponents.

Over the last few years, as my colleague Liam Duffy has documented, the study of extremism has ballooned exponentially: there are now experts on gaming and extremismclimate-change and extremismsport and extremismgender and extremism, fashion and extremismmusic and extremismneo-Nazi accelerationistsincelsfemcelsjihadi poetry, and far-Right speech-codes. One expert has even written an article on “LOL extremism”.

Oslo and the Islamist threat to gay life

A suspected Islamist terrorist shot up a gay bar on the eve of Pride. Where’s the anger?

So, have we all just moved on from the Oslo shooting? It’s been a few days since a suspected Islamist terrorist walked into a gay bar, a jazz club and pub on the eve of Oslo’s Pride march armed with a fully automatic weapon and opened fire, killing two people and wounding 21. But in the British media, at least, it seems to have come and gone without really troubling the news agenda or the opinion pages.

Rex Murphy: Is Justin Trudeau contemplating a new career in standup?

The leaders of the G7 democracies are meeting in a “fairy-tale” castle and retreat in the Bavarian Alps.

Stay in a fairy-tale castle, I mean. Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau, Boris Johnson and the rest carry the terrible burdens of an anxious time. They are the Churchills of our day.

They have more than earned some quality time together, having a few giggles, taking off the damn photo-op masks, isolated from those they constantly work so hard for, in a splendour most shall never know.

Will Putin Cross Western Redlines in Ukraine?

THE RUSSIAN invasion of Ukraine has brought home an unpalatable but clarifying truth: For all the expressions of moral outrage and the exhortations of militant rhetoric, the United States and its allies are not about to risk World War III by fighting to preserve Ukrainian independence. The West has shown itself willing to spend billions in military and humanitarian assistance, but ultimately the Ukrainians are on their own.

To everyone’s surprise, they are doing remarkably well indeed. But that could change. As we now know, Vladimir Putin is unpredictable, even irrational. He could choose to end the war with an exit ramp that allows him to declare “victory”—the most important buttress in the ramp being a guarantee by the West that Ukraine will never join NATO—or he could decide to double-down, committing yet more atrocities and war crimes, killing yet more civilians, unleashing devastation on yet more Ukrainian cities.

California working on denying gun permits based on “ideological viewpoints”

The Supreme Court’s decision in Bruen on Thursday didn’t simply shoot down New York’s onerous “good-cause requirement” in the gun permit application process. It set up similar laws in other states for likely revocation. One of those states is California, where they have their own requirement that applicants must show a “good cause” or “special need” before a carry permit is issued.

Ottawa police say they’re ready to shut down Canada Day occupation attempts

Ottawa city officials say they are prepared for a “unique” Canada Day, with plans to keep anti-government protests from turning into another occupation.

The traditional nationally broadcast shows are returning for the first time since 2019, this time from the plaza in front of the Canadian War Museum because of ongoing construction on Parliament Hill.

Ottawa police say they expect more protests and larger crowds than usual during Canada Day celebrations as groups related to the Freedom Convoy continue to plan demonstrations. Some in those groups have indicated they’d like to protest through July and August.

Kelly McParland: Trudeau can’t be taken at his word on Brenda Lucki scandal

In trying to protect themselves from the latest turmoil to engulf the Trudeau government, the prime minister and his emergencies minister are offering explanations that defy both logic and the evidence on hand.

Assertions by Justin Trudeau and the minister, Bill Blair, have inconsistencies that negate their credibility. They don’t withstand close examination. And neither man can be conceded the benefit of the doubt.
