What in the hell: “Senior American officials” leak that US intel directing attacks on Russian generals?

On one hand, the impulse to cheer is undeniable, especially with the brutality and clear ethnic-cleansing strategy behind Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. On the other, the US and NATO seem to be edging very closely to fulfilling Vladimir Putin’s propaganda needs, if this New York Times report is accurate.

U.S. Intelligence Is Helping Ukraine Kill Russian Generals, Officials Say

WASHINGTON — The United States has provided intelligence about Russian units that has allowed Ukrainians to target and kill many of the Russian generals who have died in action in the Ukraine war, according to senior American officials.

Ukrainian officials said they have killed approximately 12 generals on the front lines, a number that has astonished military analysts.

The targeting help is part of a classified effort by the Biden administration to provide real-time battlefield intelligence to Ukraine. That intelligence also includes anticipated Russian troop movements gleaned from recent American assessments of Moscow’s secret battle plan for the fighting in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, the officials said. Officials declined to specify how many generals had been killed as a result of U.S. assistance.

Geoff Russ: Liberals melt over Rolling Thunder protest, but ignore left-wing vandals in Montreal

Comparing the weekend’s overblown coverage of Ottawa’s Rolling Thunder protest to the concurrent violent May Day protests in Montreal, exposes the blatant double-standards of how Canada’s governing politicians confront political violence.

Not that anyone needed reminding.

DND says review exonerates Canada’s mission in Ukraine of training extremists

The Department of National Defence (DND) says it has concluded its 2021 review into the findings of a report from George Washington University that cited allegations by a far-right group in the Ukrainian military that claimed it had trained with the Canadian Armed Forces and other western military and found itself absolved.

In a statement emailed to CTVNews.ca Wednesday, as spokesperson for the DND reiterated that all Task Force Ukraine personnel receive pre-deployment training on right-wing extremism, including symbols.

Russia Triples Down – Israel’s mercenaries are fighting in Ukraine with the Azov battalion!, says Moscow

In an interview with radio station Sputnik, Maria Zakharova stated, “Israeli mercenaries are practically shoulder to shoulder with Azov militants in Ukraine.”

Its members are part of the Ukrainian resistance in Mariupol, which is holed up within the Azovstal steel complex, which Russian soldiers attacked on Tuesday.

By implying that Israelis are fighting with Azov, whom Russia regards as “fascists” and “Nazis,” Moscow is exacerbating tensions that arose when Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov declared on Sunday that Hitler had “Jewish blood.”

Trudeau dropped an ‘F-bomb’ in Parliament Conservatives say … Extremism, hateful rhetoric becoming ‘normalized’ in Canada, spy agency head warns

Much has been made of the political legacy Justin Trudeau has to live up to as he follows in the footsteps of his father, a former prime minister.

On Wednesday, he invoked one of Pierre Elliott Trudeau‘s most memorable quips when asked whether he had uttered unparliamentary language.

He would know, it’s what his master’s do best.

Fierce fighting under way in Mariupol’s Azovstal plant, says Azov commander

Fierce fighting has continued inside Mariupol’s Azovstal steelworks, the commander of Ukrainian forces in the plant said, as more civilians fled the city on evacuation buses following weeks of brutal bombardment that have reduced much of it to rubble.

Ukrainian forces were fighting “difficult bloody battles” against Russian troops for a second day, Denys Prokopenko, commander of the Azov regiment, said in a brief video released on Telegram late on Wednesday.

“I am proud of my soldiers who are making superhuman efforts to contain the pressure of the enemy … the situation is extremely difficult,” commander Denis Prokopenko said.

Moment £4m next-generation Russian super-tank with reinforced steel and special automatic defence system is blown up by Ukrainian army just days after making its battlefield debut

This is the moment Ukrainian troops destroy one of Russia’s most advanced tanks which are protected by special reactive armour.

The armour on the T-90M is designed to explode when hit reducing the penetrative power of an incoming round.

The tank is also protected with a automated defence system which fires smoke grenades when it is ‘painted’ by a laser beam used by an incoming missile.

Big-city teachers unions say Supreme Court draft overturning Roe v. Wade is racist

Several big-city teachers unions blasted a leaked draft Supreme Court opinion that would overturn the landmark 1973 abortion case Roe v. Wade as racist and oppressive.

In social media statements on Tuesday, the Chicago Teachers Union, the United Teachers Los Angeles union, and New York City’s Unified Federation of Teachers all expressed outrage at Justice Samuel Alito’s leaked draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that was released on Monday by Politico. Some even went as far as to say reversing the abortion decision was racist.

Disney’s Market Freefall

There’s a saying, and I don’t know who coined it, but it goes something like, “Go woke; go broke.” I do know that former president Donald Trump said that “everything woke turns to s**t.”

One company that’s learning this lesson the hard way — even though nobody there will admit it publicly — is Disney. David Ng at Breitbart is reporting that The Walt Disney Company has lost a whopping $63 billion in market capitalization over the past two months.

Normalizing Perversion

The reasons for the Left’s perverse sexualizing of very young children make sense only if you are sexually neurotic. None of it makes sense if you are a rational, healthy, sexually normal person. For example, what is to be gained by first graders learning about drag queens and transsexuality? How is a child’s life improved, how is the culture improved when children whose brains are not physically equipped to process such information get exposed to it? If it is the hope of sexualizers that children will be more accepting of perversity, to what end?

‘MAGA is the most extreme political organization in American history’: Biden warns of Republicans’ ‘ultra MAGA agenda’ and suggests they’ll ban LGBT children from classrooms if Roe v. Wade is overturned

President Joe Biden called the ‘MAGA crowd’ the ‘most extreme political organization in American history’ in a full-throated attack on Republicans and their ‘ultra-MAGA’ agenda in a speech from the White House on Wednesday.

He also warned that the GOP could ban LGBT children from classrooms if Roe v. Wade is overturned and signaled they could even reverse the 1965 Griswold v. Connecticut case that struck down a state law banning the use of contraceptives by married couples.

It was a ramp-up in rhetoric from Biden following the Supreme Court leak that caused a firestorm and protests across the country and a further condemnation of Florida’s so-called ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill that bans teachers from discussing sexual orientation and gender identity before third grade.

San Francisco is blocked from banning four ‘drug dealers’ after court rules it would violate constitutional right to travel

A California appeals court ruled that San Francisco could not block four suspected drug dealers from the inner-city Tenderloin district, a 50-square-block neighborhood rife with crime and drug use.

The ruling, which came on Friday, stemmed from San Francisco’s attempted to ban 28 alleged drug dealers in 2020 who frequented the downtown area, which has seen the city’s largest number of overdose deaths.

An enforcement of the ban what shot down in court last May, with the city appealing the decision as officials specifically named alleged drug dealers Christian Noel Padilla-Martel, Victor Zelaya, 27, Jarold Sanchez, 23, and Guadaloupe Aguilar-Benegas, 28, as individuals who needed to be kept out of the district.

Brian Bird: Euthanasia is a runaway train in Canada. It’s time to hit the brakes.

Next year, Canadians suffering solely from mental illness may be eligible for medically assisted death. A parliamentary committee will release a report by June with recommendations on how this and other potential changes to Canada’s laws on euthanasia might be implemented. Rather than suggest how to go about these changes, this committee should recommend that we not go about them at all. Euthanasia should not be further expanded in Canada.

Do we need a capitalist civil war?

The working class suffer when elites agree

We Americans like to think of ourselves as a thoroughly modern people — living proof of what, with enough toil and grit, the rest of the free world can one day hope to be. And yet for all our progressivism and idealism, America’s political culture finds itself unable to escape the past. We may be living in a 21st century democracy, but that “democracy” increasingly resembles something that could have been plucked out of feudal Europe or, perhaps more accurately, feudal Japan.

Jokes are not violence – this is violence

The attack on Dave Chappelle reminds us why we must never equate violence with words.

We don’t know why that man rushed comic legend Dave Chappelle onstage at the Hollywood Bowl last night, allegedly wielding a replica gun with a blade inside. What we do know is that Chappelle’s attacker got his arse handed to him by security, if the images of him being wheeled into an ambulance, bloodied, cuffed and with his arm cocked at a gruesome angle are anything to go by. And we also know that Chappelle handled it all like a pro, returning to the stage shortly after the attack to quip that it was a ‘trans man’ who had tackled him to the floor, a nod to the heat Chappelle has caught in recent years for his jokes about gender ideology.

AP evidence points to 600 dead in Mariupol theater airstrike

LVIV, Ukraine (AP) — She stood in just her bathrobe in the freezing basement of the Mariupol theater, coated in white plaster dust shaken loose by the explosion. Her husband tugged at her to leave and begged her to cover her eyes.

But she couldn’t help it — Oksana Syomina looked. And to this day, she wishes she hadn’t. Bodies were strewn everywhere, including those of children. By the main exit, a little girl lay still on the floor.

Syomina had to step on the dead to escape the building that had served as the Ukrainian city’s main bomb shelter for more than a week. The wounded screamed, as did those trying to find loved ones. Syomina, her husband and about 30 others ran blindly toward the sea and up the shore for almost five miles (eight kilometers) without stopping, the theater in ruins behind them.
