Biden’s Borders: The Threat to America and the Threat to the Free World

A lot of Internet bandwidth has been dedicated to news reports of Russia’s military activities along the Ukrainian border. President Biden has promised “severe sanctions” against Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russia, should the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Ukraine be infringed upon (again) in any way.

In 2014, when Putin responded to a coup that ousted a pro-Russian regime in Kiev by occupying Crimea, President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden did nothing. Strongly-worded diplomatic notes? Sure. But it was still “nothing.” When Putin aided anti-government separatist groups in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine, collectively called the Donbas region, once again Obama and Biden did nothing. Putin seems to understand Biden. Putin also seems to understand hollow threats and ineffective sanctions. Putin, in addition, reduced natural gas exports to Europe by 41% last month in order to get the attention of NATO allies. It appears to be a “squeeze play.” Putin would appear to be choking off natural gas supplies to Europe as a wedge, to divide the United States from NATO allies over the threatened “severe sanctions.”

Trudeau warns Moscow of ‘serious consequences’ over Ukraine – Threatens to scold on proper pronoun usage!

Members of Parliament exchanged their concerns and ideas about how to support Ukraine during a special debate at the House Commons that ran for more than two hours Monday evening.

The discussion was part of a “take note” debate about the situation in Ukraine, a format that allows MPs to address national issues in a more wide-ranging, detailed fashion when compared to typical debates on specific legislation.

RCMP begins removing protesters, vehicles at Coutts border blockade

… “What may have begun as a peaceful assembly quickly turned into an unlawful blockade. While the Alberta RCMP has been in a position to conduct enforcement, we have been engaged with protesters at the Coutts border crossing in an effort to find a peaceful and safe resolution for all involved. We thought we had a path to resolution, the protesters eventually chose not to comply,” RCMP said in a release.

Experts suggest containment, fines and giving protesters a deadline to leave

As anti-vaccine mandate protesters continue to gum up downtown Ottawa, many are wondering how long police will let the protesters stay — and how they might eventually move them out.

While many residents have been calling for an end to the noise and disruption caused by raucous demonstrations, observers are calling on authorities to avoid public displays of force.

“It’s in everyone’s best interest that they bring this to some type of peaceful closure,” said Jack Rozdilsky, an associate professor of disaster and emergency management at York University.

Child sexual grooming report points to failure to identify ethnicity of abusers and victims

Child sexual abuse: Extensive failures in tackling grooming, says report

Police and councils are still failing to properly identify and investigate child grooming gangs, a report warns.

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse said officials often denied the scale of the issue, thinking incorrectly that it was “on the wane”.

Data such as the ethnicity of abusers and victims was not collected and could have helped identify offenders.

… The report said that in some cases authorities might be potentially downplaying the scale of abuse over concerns about the negative publicity.

It said local authorities “don’t want to be labelled another Rochdale or Rotherham” – referring to high-profile grooming gangs.

Freedom Convoy Protest Reflects Canadians’ Democratic Spirit

No one should downplay, much less deny, the acts of idiocy that went on during the self-styled Freedom Convoy of big rigs in Ottawa.

Making buffoons of themselves by trying to coerce a homeless shelter to provide food or urinating on and otherwise mocking monuments in the Parliament Hill precincts, some (operative word some) did diminish the nobility of the protest. To paraphrase a long-ago colleague of mine in the newspaper business talking about the woo-woo cohort of our subscribers, “some of our fellow citizens are idiots, but those idiots are our fellow citizens.”

Politicians keep silent on Muslim antisemitism to garner Muslim votes

Ahmed El Khannouss, powerful municipal councilor of Molenbeek and local head of the Humanist Democratic Center party, defended Imam Mohamed Toujgani, whose residence permit and access to Belgian territory have just been withdrawn for the next ten years. The decision was made by the Minister for Immigration, Sammy Mahdi, based on information from the security services indicating “a serious danger to national security”.

The reason? Imam Toujgani, among other accusations, called for “burning the Zionists”. Municipal Councilor Khannouss became famous in the media around the world after the Paris attacks, practically all of whose terrorists came from Molenbeek, of which he was deputy mayor at the time. In the meantime, none other than the socialist mayor of Molenbeek, Catherine Moureaux, arrived to speak out in defense of Mohamed Toujgani: “Given Toujgani’s function as President of the League of Imams of Belgium, I dare to hope that the minister has a really important new element to explain the adoption of this decision “.

Doug Ford tells truckers convoy to go home: ‘I support vaccinations’

Premier Doug Ford’s patience for the truckers convoy is wearing thin.

One day after saying he was “extremely disturbed” with the actions of some of those gathered in Ottawa, Ford urged remaining members of the truckers convoy to go home and “let the people of Ottawa get back to their lives.”

“On the truckers side, I’ve always supported truckers from day one,” Ford said. “But I support vaccinations. It’s very simple. That’s how we have been able to slowly get out of this, and that’s how we’ll continue to slowly get out of it.”

Israeli policies against Palestinians amount to apartheid – Amnesty

Israeli laws, policies and practices against Palestinians in Israel and the occupied territories amount to apartheid, Amnesty International says.

A new report alleges that the Israeli state maintains “an institutionalized regime of oppression and domination of the Palestinian population for the benefit of Jewish Israelis”.

Apartheid is considered a crime against humanity under international law.

Israel says it “absolutely rejects all the false allegations” in the report.

A foreign ministry spokesperson accused Amnesty of recycling “lies, inconsistencies, and unfounded assertions that originate from well-known anti-Israeli hate organisations”.

The Star offers up yet another racist screed condemning the Trucker protest

‘Freedom’ protests are white supremacy in all its glory

Where the hell have these Freedom Convoy protesters been all this time if this is really about equality and human rights for all?

It was a whirlwind of a weekend for most following the Freedom Convoy storming into the capital to protest COVID-19 vaccine mandates. It drew widespread support from droves of Canadians fed up with donning masks in enclosed public places and restrictions on accessing services, such as dining out without being vaccinated. Although the convoy listed its initial cause as opposing the federal government’s mandate on vaccinations for cross-border truckers, it turned into a freedom-for-all rallying cry.

Thousands converged on Parliament Hill and provincial legislature grounds Saturday wielding signs depicting violence against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, yelling slurs against journalists, (some of whom received death threats), others were spat on and verbally and physically harassed. Footage of protesters dancing to techno party music, drinking beer and urinating at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier flooded my social media timelines.

“This is about our human rights! It’s for everyone’s human rights!” was the rhetoric I heard repeatedly from protesters, who to me, came off like a bunch of spoiled, disrespectful kids out on a party bender.

Because if you don’t support human rights for Transgender ISIS Terrorist Pedophiles you’re a white supremacist. Oh and you have to believe in residential school hate crime hoaxes, those tree roots need reparations now!

The media mouthpieces of the Liberal-Left are very afraid. Good.

Protesters dig in as trucker protest hits fourth day

The crowds around Parliament Hill have thinned, but protesters have vowed to stay the course as the trucker protest enters its fourth day in Ottawa.

Parliament resumed Monday with the backdrop of incessant truck honking, protester speeches, barbecues, drones flying and streets still in gridlock from transport trucks and personal vehicles parked throughout the downtown core. Some protesters were filmed bringing in fuel and supplies to those who are hunkered down in their vehicles.
