The most corrupt nation state in Western Europe occupies only 120 acres of land and has fewer than 1,000 residents. But its capacity for initiating criminal behaviour, and the global consequences of the financial and sexual scandals in which it’s entangled, are hugely out of proportion to its size.
That’s because, around the world, roughly a billion people traditionally regard the state’s geriatric absolute monarch as God’s representative on earth. They may have been aware that, for centuries, a few bad apples in the administration have betrayed the monarch’s trust by embezzling money. But the notion that the whole state was slowly turning into a criminal enterprise would have struck them as ridiculous, even sacrilegious.
Where did the myth of transgenderism originate? The seeds were first planted by the Marxist-inspired writer Wilhelm Reich in his book Die Sexualität im Kulturkampf (1936), later published in English as Sexuality and the Culture War, where he attacked not only the family but also Western civilisation’s opposition to “infant sexuality” (in other words, paedophilia). His ideas were supported by Herbert Marcuse, who argued in Eros and Civilization (1955) that a couple’s desire to marry and raise children was an expression of “sexual repression”.

Robert Davi, an award-winning actor and outspoken Hollywood conservative, has signed on to direct an upcoming feature film covering the life of Joe Biden’s youngest son, Hunter Biden.
The film, titled My Son Hunter, is being written and produced by the creators of Gosnell, a film about the eponymous abortionist and serial killer.
Davi signed on to direct the film because he says the movies being made in Hollywood cater to “mostly the progressive left.”
Albany officer Craig Apple describes woman as a victim and says investigation of governor could lead to arrest
The sheriff of Albany county, New York, on Saturday repeatedly referred to a woman who filed a criminal complaint against Governor Andrew Cuomo, following her allegation of sexual misconduct, as a victim and touted her bravery in coming forward.
“I think we’ve all read the attorney general’s report, I think we all know what’s in it,” Sheriff Craig Apple told reporters during a press conference in the state capital on Saturday, adding: “At this point, I’m very comfortable and safe saying she’s in fact a victim.”
The state of Illinois is facing a looming energy crisis almost entirely of its own making, but despite having options on the table to avert it, the state appears ready to simply let the situation continue to implode. Thanks to state policies intended to end all energy production using fossil fuels, energy producers are increasingly struggling to remain viable. This is particularly true of the state’s nuclear power plants, run by energy company Commonwealth Edison, a subsidiary of Exelon. They have been unable to compete with the cheaper natural gas-fired plants in the state and are facing a potential bankruptcy situation.
As the global economy begins to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic recession it’s apparent, once again, that reports about the death of the age of oil — and of fossil fuels in general — were greatly exaggerated.
