“Beat, Raped, and Left for Dead”: The Persecution of Christians, May 2021

“Two motorcycles carrying two Muslims each and dressed in Islamic attire speedily bypassed us,” his son, a minor, later explained. “When we were 200 meters to reach our house, the two motorcycles stopped at the junction opposite Nalufenya primary school and the road near our house.” The pastor told his son to wait while he went to confront the four men. “Immediately some commotion began as the men started talking about the open-air debate, and soon one of them slapped my father,” said his son. “I got scared and fled … and arrived at home.” The boy eventually met up with his mother, and they went searching for Pastor Thomas.

Schools Shouldn’t Teach ‘White Privilege’, UK Minister Says

British schools should not teach the term “white privilege” unless they explain that it is a “highly contentious” concept, because it is divisive and “unnecessarily antagonistic,” a UK government minister has warned.

Writing in The Telegraph, Kemi Badenoch, Britain’s equalities minister, said, “The intense focus on race over the last year is leading to an increased racialisation of issues and incidents across society.”

Bill Maher WHACKS Google, Facebook For Banning All Lab-Leak Questioning

On his Real Time show on HBO on Friday night, Bill Maher lashed out at Google and Facebook for suppressing anyone merely asking the question if the coronavirus leaked out of a lab in Wuhan. Science is supposed to be about testing a hypothesis, but some of those had to be crushed…for politics.

The China class wants access to the Xi’s market, they’ll do anything.

The Chinese Communist party: 100 years that shook the world

1921: The first meeting

Anyone visiting First Meeting Hall in Shanghai, the museum recreating the site of the first conclave of the Chinese Communist party (CCP) in 1921, will also find themselves in one of the city’s fanciest districts.

The precise time of the meeting is murky, and 1 July was chosen by Mao Zedong years later for commemoration when he couldn’t remember the exact date on which the dozen or so comrades had held their conclave.

In addition to the Chinese at the meeting in the city’s French Concession, including Mao, there was one representative of the Comintern, or the Communist International. For a period, some attendees were airbrushed out of official accounts, as they were later accused of collaborating with the Imperial army in the treacherous civil war and Japanese occupation in the 1930s.

Worth a read, even if it is from the Guardian.

Boris Johnson’s food policy strategist says meat tax ‘may be necessary’ but warns of FOOD RIOTS if brought in too soon – reports

Meat and guns like God wanted.

After the UK’s government climate change advisers urged it to implement policy to reduce meat and dairy consumption, Boris Johnson’s hand-picked food strategy planner reportedly says a meat tax “may be necessary” in the future.

Restaurateur Henry Dimbleby, chosen to lead Downing Street’s ‘National Food Strategy’ formulation body, believes that a levy on processed meat staples like burgers, steaks, ham, sausages, and chicken nuggets could be needed in order to tackle climate change, according to media reports.

Food riots? OK, if that’s what you want to call the lynching of the idiots who would impose this anti-human policy.

What is Behind Gen. Mark Milley’s Righteous Race Sermon? Look to the New Domestic War on Terror.

The overarching ideology of Pentagon officials is larger military budgets and ongoing permanent war posture. Their new war target, explicitly, is domestic “white rage.”

For two hundred forty years, American generals have not exactly been defined by adamant public advocacy for left-wing cultural dogma. Yet there appeared to be a great awakening at the Pentagon on Wednesday when Gen. Mark Milley, the highest-ranking military officer in the U.S. as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified at a House hearing. The Chairman vehemently defended the teaching of critical race theory at West Point and, referencing the January 6 Capitol riot, said, “it is important that we train and we understand … and I want to understand white rage. And I’m white.”

Vatican Foreign Minister to Epoch Times: Church Has No Positive Contribution to Make in Hong Kong

Vatican Foreign Minister to Epoch Times: Church Has No Positive Contribution to Make in Hong Kong

… Since the renewal of the Sino-Vatican Deal last October, Pope Francis—who has been extremely outspoken on other human rights and ecological crises—has been silent on China and Hong Kong. The Chinese Communist Party’s brutality and human rights violations, both in mainland China and in Hong Kong, have caused world leaders—such as former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo—to call for the Vatican to end its “preliminary” deal with China.

Sweden’s gun crime epidemic is spiraling out of control

Sweden’s epidemic of bombings has no equivalent in the Western world

The shots were fired at 1 p.m. on a Sunday, in spite of a heavy police presence at the scene. A 44-year-old shop owner was killed by a bullet to the head. The murder victim was a hard-working man who was trying to make a better life for his family. Now he is dead: another victim of Sweden’s gun-violence epidemic.

On May 28, two days before the shooting, riots had broken out in the same neighborhood, the immigrant area of Hjällbo (pronounced ‘Yel-boo’) in Gothenburg, as a local criminal gang clashed with shop owners and their relatives.

Olympic hammer thrower Gwen Berry ‘pissed’ national anthem was playing at Olympic trials

Looks like a Drag Queen.

A U.S. hammer thrower turned away from the American flag as she stood on the medal podium at the Olympic trials during the national anthem on Saturday, saying she’s “pissed” the Star-Spangled Banner was played as she received her bronze medal.

Gwen Berry — who qualified for her second U.S. Olympic team during the trials — shifted to face the stands rather than the flag before holding up a black shirt that reads “Activist Athlete.”

Pissed that she finished 3rd.

Why Indigenous programs fail

Why Indigenous programs fail

For those who accuse Canada of being a racist country as we approach our 154th birthday on Thursday, a racist country would not be spending $24.5 billion this year alone to improve the lives of Canada’s First Nations, Metis and Inuit people.

That should be more than enough money to deliver clean water to all Indigenous reserves.

Worthwhile editorial from the Sun. It’s not a secret about where the money goes and its been said many times before. I can’t understand why reform hasn’t happened.

Derek Chauvin, Scapegoat

The ritual the convicted Minneapolis police officer was subjected to was less a legal trial than a sort of pagan sacrifice.

Chez Kimball, we are spending part of most evenings reading The Iliad aloud. I wish I could say that we are doing it in the original Greek, but no—we are reading Richmond Lattimore’s translation, which was published in 1951. Other translations are more popular than Lattimore’s, but I think it is the best English translation because it manages to preserve something of the primitive current of Homer’s verse.

Conrad Black: Celebrate Canada, but not its political leaders or its propensity for self-flagellation

Conrad Black: Celebrate Canada, but not its political leaders or its propensity for self-flagellation

In my expression of gratitude to COVID vaccinators last week, I did not mention that the federal government took an unconscionable risk in gambling on the effect of a 10-week gap between vaccinations, nor the disgraceful record Canada has in getting the population fully vaccinated, nor the intolerable delay in reopening the country. It is disappointing to see how quiescently Canadians have endured all this official ineptitude.

Human–Monkey Hybrids: Have We Crossed a Boundary?

Scientists’ progress toward creating chimeras raises major ethical questions.

Afew weeks ago, scientists reported successfully growing human cells in monkey embryos, paving the way for creating live human–monkey chimeras. For many, this could open the door to great medical advancements such as in organ transplantation. For others, it may be a sign that science has overstepped a moral and ethical boundary.

A chimera, in the ancient mythological sense, was a hybrid creature made up of a lion, a goat, and a snake and was the product of the mating of the giant serpent Typhon and his lover Echidna. In the modern biological sense, however, a chimera is a cluster of cells or a whole organism that contains distinct cell types from two or more different organisms.
