Why warnings of a deadly 3rd wave in Canada may have gone unheeded

It was a Friday in February and Canada’s COVID-19 situation seemed to be improving. The second wave had crested. Just over 3,000 cases were reported countrywide that day, Feb. 19, down from a peak of 8,766 six weeks earlier.

Dr. Theresa Tam, however, came to a virtual news conference with a warning. New variants of the novel coronavirus threatened the country’s progress.

“We’ve been saying all along that if we ease measures too soon, the epidemic will resurge even stronger. But with highly contagious variants in our midst, the threat of uncontrolled epidemic growth is significantly elevated,” Canada’s chief public health officer said.

Tam has zero credibility. She parroted the Communist Chinese Party line and spread falsehoods from spread to masks etc etc etc.

Project Veritas Pulled Some Stunning Admissions Out of the New York Times

Weeks after the New York Times failed in its motion to dismiss Project Veritas’s defamation suit, the NYT was forced to answer the allegations in writing. The answers were recently made public. Though carefully tailored to reveal as little as possible, the answers betray incredible insight as to how the “Newspaper of Record” works behind the scenes, as well as the division of labor in the manufacturing of American political propaganda.

How the right fell out of love with markets

Many of capitalism’s most vocal critics are now found on the American right

In December 2016 I was speaking at a conference in London. Much of the discussion, unsurprisingly, gravitated toward Donald Trump’s recent election as president. It meant, I noted, that an outspoken free-trade skeptic would be in the White House. At that point a bright young French economist turned to me and said, ‘Mon ami, I thought that free trade was a done deal on the right. Apparently, it isn’t.’

Mayor of Paris District Agrees With Generals Threatening to Seize Control Amid ‘Civil War’ Danger

Mayor of Paris District Agrees With Generals Threatening to Seize Control Amid ‘Civil War’ Danger

Rachida Dati, mayor of the 7th arrondissement (district) of Paris, has expressed her agreement with the recent letter to the government by current and former members of the military and other security services about the dangers of violence and civil conflict caused France-hating ideologies, Islamism and “suburban hordes”.

“What is written in this letter is a reality,” Dati said, speaking to France Info on Thursday.

“When you have a country plagued by urban guerrilla warfare, when you have a constant and high terrorist threat, when you have increasingly glaring and flagrant inequalities, when some patriotic people are breaking away from society, we cannot say that the country is doing well,” the official suggested.

Working-class people of color hate the riots the lefty elite keeps cheering

When Americans fight about race or culture, the fight is almost always really about social class. And that shows up in today’s discussions about riots and policing.

The Daily Caller recently sent a video correspondent to Brooklyn Center, Minn., scene of many police-shooting-related riots, and to Washington, DC, home of America’s ruling class, and asked people in both places when and if rioting was justified. The answers differed sharply.

Dispatches from the Lunatic Asylum America Is in Danger of Becoming

Thousands of women are forced to seek safety in shelters operated by religious groups, local governments and charitable organizations, including many who are fleeing abusive husbands, pimps and sex traffickers.

Now add to that list men who are allegedly “transgender women” who insist on staying in shelters intended only to aid women. “Credit” goes to Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge.

Trudeau’s plan for the Internet: More patriotic propaganda, less choice for users

Several years ago, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau quipped that he sees Canada as the world’s “first postnational state.” It’s become an iconic catchphrase of his tenure — admired by liberals as a mantra of inclusivity; mocked by conservatives as an admission of the vacuousness of progressivism.

It’s a fine debate to have but, in the context of Trudeau, it’s also fairly pointless, given the prime minister has never shown much interest in actually governing in a postnational way. His is, in fact, a quite explicitly nationalist government that has repeatedly shown itself happy to use the power of the state to push a particular notion of correct patriotic behavior.

Pentagon whistleblower warns of UFO intelligence failure on ‘level of 9/11’

… “I am not a UFO guy, I am an investigator, my job was (simply) to collect the data and speak the truth,” Elizondo told the US Sun.

“There is something in our skies, we don’t know what it is, we don’t know how it works, we don’t know fully what it can do, we don’t know who is behind the wheel, we don’t know its intentions, and there isn’t a damn thing we can do about it,” he added.

Trump supporter shares what he uncovered after infiltrating anti-fascist group in Sonoma Co.

SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) — Shocking comments were made during an online meeting of far-left activists in Sonoma County, discussing a possible protest for this Saturday.

Group leader: “It’s May Day, baby, like come out and take, take somethin’ over with us, I don’t, I don’t (bleep)-ing know.”
Member: “Let’s kill people. (laughs)”
Group Leader: “Let’s kill some cops.”
Member: “Yeah.”

The ABC7 I-Team has been investigating the group’s possible connection to recent acts of vandalism, including an incident at the former home of a Derek Chauvin defense witness one week ago.

Diane Francis: With more seats than it deserves Atlantic Canada is awash in federal handouts

Diane Francis: With more seats than it deserves Atlantic Canada is awash in federal handouts

In the last election, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals got 6,018,728 votes, or a puny 33.12 per cent of the total, and the Tories got 6,239,227. Even so, Trudeau ended up with 157 seats and the Tories only 121. I analyzed the numbers in a piece I wrote last year in The Post which revealed the need for electoral reform.

This electoral injustice was due to gerrymandering which has given the poorest part of the country — everything east of the Quebec-Ontario border — 14 more seats than it deserves, based on representation by population.

Forget Hunter. Biden’s Corrupt Justice Department Targets Rudy Giuliani

In a Grade-A example of high-level corruption, the now Biden-run Department of Justice has turned its legal guns on … Rudy Giuliani.

Let’s recall that during the 2020 campaign, the former New York mayor and lawyer for President Trump was given access to Hunter Biden’s misplaced laptop — the laptop that was left for ages at a Delaware repair shop with no effort to retrieve it.

What’s “Normal” in America? A Simon and Schuster petition reveals the confusions of the woke movement that inspired it.

A few days ago, 216 employees of Simon and Schuster, along with several thousand people from outside the trade publishing house, sent a petition to top executives of the company demanding that they stop publishing anyone who had anything to do with the Trump administration. Their rationale for making such a demand was that Trump’s presidency was a dangerous historical aberration. According to the Wall Street Journal, the letter insists that Simon and Schuster not treat “the Trump administration as a ‘normal’ chapter in American history.”
