The truth about ‘UK-born’ criminals

The police want us to know one thing about Anthony Williams, the alleged LNER knife attacker. We can only speculate about his motives, his record or whether he was responsible for an earlier attack in the London Docklands. But one fact was broadcast almost immediately: he was British-born.

The police put out a statement soon after arresting him (along with a second man, who was released afterwards):

“A 32-year-old man, a black British national, and a 35-year-old man, a British national of Caribbean descent, were both arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Both were born in the UK.

OK, he was born in the UK. So were three of the four 7/7 bombers. So were the men who murdered Lee Rigby outside Woolwich Barracks. So were the Westminster Bridge and London Bridge stabbing attackers, the perpetrators of the Manchester Arena abomination and, of course, the Southport knife killer, Axel Rudakubana.

Twenty Million Dead: The Generation Abortion Stole from America

Progress with a body count.

Imagine an entire generation, then erase nearly a third of it. That’s not a half-hearted thought experiment. It’s a national crime scene, neatly packaged as progress.

Recent demographic reports reveal a devastating reality. Nearly 28 percent of Gen Z in America were denied the simple mercy of daylight. Between 1997 and 2011, 19.5 million lives were ended before they began. For every classroom, every cradle, every dinner table, an empty space mourns what never was.

Mark Carney is already struggling with Justin Trudeau’s immigration legacy

The queue to immigrate to Canada has always been long.

Like a competitive university, Canada has always had more applicants than places. Like a competitive university, Canada developed processes, notably the points system, to decide which applicants to prioritize, and which to sideline.

And like a competitive university, the applicants queued up and competed for admission from outside the fence. Applicants to Harvard aren’t already at Harvard. Applicants to immigrate to Canada were not already in Canada.

Israel and India, Both Under Threat, Solidify Ties

Israel, reacting to the usual condemnations from its supposed European allies, is understandably seeking assurance that its armed forces will have, in any future military crisis, an uninterrupted supply of critical weapons, spare parts and ammunition.

As some European states that were arms suppliers to Israel, such as Germany, have embargoed the delivery of weaponry, India seems to be a prime candidate to satisfy Israel’s ongoing needs.

Female TikTok star is kidnapped and publicly executed by al-Qaeda jihadists in Mali

Al-Qaeda-linked Jihadists in Mali have kidnapped and executed a female TikTok star in front of her family after accusing her of filming them and collaborating with the army.

Mariam Cisse, who posted videos about the city of Tonka in the northern Timbuktu region to her 90,000 followers, was shot dead by suspected members of the notorious Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) terror group in a public square on November 7.

News of her death has shocked the country, which is ruled by a military junta that is struggling to contain the jihadist insurgency that has gripped the country since 2012.

Canada issued 9,995 permits to Indian students from Jan-Aug — compared to 76,930 last year

Data from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) shows that the number of international student permits issued to Indian applicants has fallen by more than 93 per cent in the last two years.

According to data received by National Post, there were a total of 9,955 permits approved for applicants from India between January and the end of August this year. That compares to 149,875 in the same period in 2023, and 76,930 in that period last year.

We have an unwanted surplus making the correct number of permits issued ZERO.

Lunatic stabs female straphanger, 27, at Chicago train station

A 27-year-old woman was stabbed by a lunatic at a Chicago train station Saturday night — nearly three months after Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was murdered by a pocketknife-wielding madman on Charlotte’s light rail system.

The victim was sitting on a bench at the UIC-Halsted Blue Line platform near the University of Illinois Chicago around 11:14 p.m. when the alleged attacker plunged a knife into her chest, according to the Chicago Police Department.

Why Olivia Chow’s council allies are attacking John Tory’s World Cup bid – and not the scandal that caused him to quit

While former mayor John Tory may still be mulling a bid to get his old job back in next year’s municipal election, his successor at Toronto city hall is already bracing for a fight. Over the last few months, Mayor Olivia Chow and her allies on Toronto council have taken every opportunity to poke holes in Tory’s record.

The strategy seems designed as a pre-emptive counter to the notion that Tory was a popular and effective mayor brought down only by a personal scandal, after the Star reported about an inappropriate relationship with a mayoral staffer. Chow’s team is suggesting there’s a lot more to the Tory story.

Nothing will save Chow, well the stupidity of Toronto voters might.

Apple has agreed to block two popular gay dating apps in China as part of a fresh wave of censorship by Beijing.

Blued is a gay social network launched in China in 2012, while Beijing-based Finka is a dating app.

Matthew Taub: Mob that attacked Jewish students must be held accountable

A violent mob attack on Jewish students at Toronto Metropolitan University was not a protest. It was, in my view, an attempted pogrom, conducted in broad daylight, in the heart of Canada’s largest city.

The event, “Triggered: From Combat to Campus,” was part of a peaceful speaking tour featuring Israel Defence Forces reservists sharing firsthand stories from October 7 and beyond. The name turned out to be ironic, as the people who reacted to the event were “triggered,” not by the truth of October 7 and Hamas’s terror, but by Israel defending itself.

Not sure I see the point of asking the people who gave the mob license to make things right.

I can’t breathe!

France Foils Terror Plot by Salafist Women to ‘Pay Homage‘ to Bin Laden

Three young Islamist women have been arrested in France on suspicion of plotting terror attacks in Paris to pay “homage to Bin Laden” and to mark the 2015 Bataclan theatre attack.

France’s National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT) has charged three women, aged 18, 19, and 21, with a “criminal terrorist conspiracy” following a months-long investigation involving wiretaps and other surveillance, which uncovered plans for a potential suicide attack in Paris.

LCBO profits are dropping due to bad management

LCBO – anyone else remember filling out the little order form and approaching the desk clerk to receive your liquor? So East Bloc, but here in Canada.

The LCBO made some remarkable news last week: 2025 will be the first year in a decade that Ontario’s government liquor stores will turn over less than $2 billion to provincial coffers.

Most of the analysis so far is that this is due to expanding the sale of beer, wine and ready-to-drink beverages to convenience, grocery and big-box stores.

England flags ‘creating no-go zones for NHS staff’

England flags are creating “no-go zones” for NHS staff around the country, health leaders have said.

Nurses and doctors report feeling intimidated by the proliferation of St George’s flags in communities, including when they are visiting patients at home.

Several NHS trust chief executives said there were examples of staff being abused and threatened, including when they have tried to take down flags outside their homes.

Good.
