Trump making ‘joke’ about Canada becoming 51st state is ‘reassuring’: Ambassador Hillman

“(Trump) made jokes, other people at the table made jokes,” Hillman said, who was part of the Canadian delegation to Mar-a-Lago, though she wasn’t seated at the same table as Trump and Trudeau during the three-hour dinner. “People were making jokes, which, actually, I have to say, I find to be reassuring that people are that comfortable with each other, that they’re teasing.”

We read all 922 pages of Project 2025 so that you didn’t have to

Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise, commonly known as Project 2025, is a policy manual researched, written and released by conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation. Surprise, surprise: they’ve actually been doing this since 1980. The first one they did went to Reagan and, by the end of 1981, he’d put more than 60% of it into practice. Smash cut to 2016…yep. You’re right. There was a Project 2017. Kind of makes you wonder why the Democrats weren’t talking about Trump and his awful Project 2017 back then, huh? Almost like it’s all propaganda…

Trudeau says Poilievre “not able” to unite to defend Canada against Trump threats

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is accusing Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre of being unhelpful in his criticisms when it comes to dealing with the incoming Donald Trump administration.

Trudeau said there’s a long-standing tradition that when the nation comes under threat in some way, Canadians pull together to defend their country.

But it’s “increasingly clear” Poilievre is unable to do that.

Trudeau made the comments about his political rival on the way into question period on Wednesday.

‘The party of poop’ amounts to a full culture

A couple days ago, AT managing editor Andrea Widburg asked if Joe Biden’s pardon of Hunter Biden might just be the apotheosis of the Democrats’ unusual, and pretty disgusting, fascination with excrement. Hunter’s whole life revolved around poop issues, given his toddler-like behavior, his propensity to paint with poop, and his contempt for everyone but his self-indulgent debauched self.
