Please, not another “scholarly study” on anti-Semitism

Oh no, according to the news release, this is going to be the mother of all “studies.” That means millions of meaningless words.

I don’t need an ADL “study” to explain the rise in anti-Semitism

Alarming? Yes, the spike in anti-Semitism in the US and around the world is alarming. The reason for it is simple; the erosion of Judeo/Christian values.

There, that’s the story. Period. So you don’t need Jonathan Greenblatt and his ADL …Anti-Defamation League…to pursue the question with a “study,” and not just any study.

Diversity & Inclusion Officer In Charge Of Anti-Semitism Task Force Hates Israel

Anti-Israel comments unearthed from University of Maryland antisemitism official

A diversity and inclusion officer at the University of Maryland charged with running the institution’s antisemitism task force has a history of making statements accusing Israel of war crimes and genocide.

The statements by Jazmin Pichardo, the assistant director for diversity training and education at the University of Maryland Office of Diversity and Inclusion, come just months after a report by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, found that criticism of Israel on social media was common among university diversity staff.

It’s always them.

Yet Another Toronto Jewish Teacher Greeted with Hitler Salutes

TORONTO – For the third time this month, students at a Toronto public elementary school have performed the Hitler salute in class, this time targeting a Jewish teacher in a Grade 6 classroom.

The latest incident occurred Thursday at Pleasant Public School in North York, Ont. The victim, a substitute teacher who regularly works at the school, was approached in the classroom by two male students who performed the salute and kept their arms raised for a lengthy period despite the teacher’s request to stop.

“They knew exactly what they were doing,” the teacher told B’nai Brith. “I felt attacked. They kept their hands up for a long time. It was blatant and so obvious.”

Nearly half of French Jews hide religious symbols, finds AJC study on anti-Semitism

An increasing number of French Jews believe that anti-Semitism is widespread in their country, according to a new survey conducted by the American Jewish Committee.

According to the study, conducted in late 2021, 85 percent of Jews said that anti-Semitism is widespread. That number is up nearly 20 points from a similar survey conducted just two years earlier that found 67 percent of French Jews said Jew-hatred was widespread.

Further, 73 percent of Jews have been victims of anti-Semitism. While the vast majority of incidents were derogatory remarks, some 20 percent of the reported incidents were labeled as “physical violence.”

That’s how diversity and multicult work!

People Love Dead Jews: a portrait of modern anti-Semitism

Dara Horn’s new book exposes the racism no one seems to care about.

‘People love dead Jews. Living Jews, not so much.’ This avowedly disturbing observation is the central insight in Dara Horn’s new book, People Love Dead Jews: Reports From a Haunted Present. She points to the huge gulf between the way Holocaust victims are widely feted and the indifference or even hostility often experienced by living Jews.

What Did the FBI Agent in Colleyville Mean by His Dismissive Comment?

American Jews are waking up.

In 1994, my wife and I took our children on a trip to visit relatives in England. We stayed over the Sabbath at her cousin’s home in a quiet London suburb. In the morning, I walked to the synagogue, one that her cousin, an architect, had designed.

I was shocked when I reached the building to see a policeman conspicuously posted by the synagogue entrance, keeping a careful watch on the comings and goings. How jarring it seemed in that green and pleasant land, a proud bulwark of political freedom, to see this show of force. Thank God, I thought to myself, that in America, it hasn’t come to that.

The Complicated History of Jews in America

Judah Benjamin

The Jewish historical narrative in America has, for the most part, been written and shaped by the great wave of Jewish immigrants that arrived in our nation around the turn of the 20th Century. That this wave has had a huge impact on American life and culture is undeniable. But it is not the entire history of Jews in America—far from it. Jews arrived on the heels of the earliest American settlers, primarily making their homes in Charleston, South Carolina, which was a religiously tolerant city, welcoming various Protestant sects, Catholics, and Jews alike. Today that seems common enough, but it certainly wasn’t in the 1600’s, especially in the Massachusetts Bay Colony where even many Protestants were not welcome, much less Catholics and Jews.

This is an interesting piece, religious tolerance in the Confederacy? Who knew!

In practice, ‘diversity, equity and inclusion’ boils down to leftist dogma, including hatred of Israel

Kudos to the Heritage Foundation workers who pinned down crystal-clear evidence of ugly bias among those pushing “diversity, equity and inclusion,” or DEI.

Specifically, proof that US university DEI staffers are overwhelmingly anti-Israel — and pro the government of China.

They identified 741 DEI officials at 65 different campuses, then examined each one’s Twitter feed for statements on Israel and China.

Spanish village that dropped ‘Kill Jews’ name hit by antisemitic graffiti attack

The mayor of a Spanish village whose former name was an ugly reminder of the country’s medieval persecution of its Jewish population has vowed to carry on with plans for a Sephardic memory centre despite an antisemitic graffiti attack this week.

Seven years ago, the 52 eligible residents of Castrillo Matajudíos – Camp Kill Jews in English, voted in a referendum to change the village’s name back to Castrillo Mota de Judíos, which means Jews’ Hill Camp.

BBC amend article suggesting victims of Oxford street antisemitism used racial slurs

The BBC has changed an article on its website suggesting that the Jewish victims of the now-viral Oxford Street antisemitism incident used anti-Muslim racial slurs.

The original piece stated that “some racial slurs can be heard from inside the bus.”

When approached for comment, a BBC spokesperson said: “The article is about the police’s appeal for information. The main focus is the actions of the individuals the police want to identify. The audio appears to show that a slur can be heard coming from the bus. We have changed our story to clarify only one such slur can be heard clearly.”

A sound and audio professional contacted by the JC said he was unable to distinguish the alleged slur saying: “I think even a audio forensic specialist would struggle to get something useful [from the clip] ”]

In response to the BBC story, the Board of Deputies said: “It appears that the BBC has a very serious case to answer here. Incorrectly accusing those experiencing antisemitism of being guilty of bigotry themselves is adding insult to injury.”

The incident occurred in Oxford Street on Monday evening and was reported to the Community Security Trust by two people on the bus.

…London Mayor Sadiq Khan said: “Antisemitism has no place whatsoever in society and I utterly condemn these disgusting acts. No one should have to experience this. “If you have any information about this incident, I urge you to report it.”

Anti-Semitism at the University of Chicago

It is an honor to be attacked or mocked by anti-Semites or enablers of anti-Semitism. As a frequent target of such bigots, I generally ignore their garbage. But when the enablers are professors at a distinguished university, it is essential to expose them and respond.

The University of Chicago has two professors who fit into this sordid category. To understand why the shoe fits, we must go back to the publication a few years ago of an overtly anti-Semitic book, The Wandering Who, by an admitted Jew-hater named Gilad Atzmon.

Atzmon declared himself a “proud, self-hating Jew,” with “contempt” for “the Jew in me.” His writings both online and in his book brim with classic anti-Semitic motifs borrowed from Nazi publications.

Michael Mostyn: A concerning rise in anti-Semitism, on the eve of Kristallnacht

“… To his credit, last month, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau led a Canadian delegation to the Malmö International Forum on Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism. In his remarks to the forum, he rightfully warned of “organizations of extremist groups on the far-right and the far-left that are pushing white supremacy, intolerance (and) radicalization, promoting hatred, fear and mistrust.”

His statement was immediately condemned by the Canadian Anti-Hate Network, which objected to the prime minister equating “anti-racists and anti-fascists with white supremacists and the far-right.” This is illustrative of the problem: one of the most dangerous aspects of anti-Semitism in the West today is that right-wing and left-wing leaders often excuse Jew-hatred in their own camp, while cynically calling it out in the other.

The fact is that those who raised the swastika on Canadian streets in May, and who threatened Jews in Edmonton and Montreal , were not the Proud Boys — they were people who identify with the left. And this problem is not new. One could be forgiven for assuming that those who chanted , “The Jews are our dogs!” at a rally in 2020 were neo-Nazi skinheads, but they were actually Palestinian-Canadian high school students.”

Holy Farberammerung! As I’ve said for years, Islam’s hatred of Jews is a feature not a bug. It’s bred in the bone but yea keep those immigration floodgates open cuz diversity!
