How Social-Justice Extremists Spawned a Generation of ‘Progressive’ Antisemites

In 2019, the Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) division of Stanford University’s Student Affairs department launched a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training program with a mandate to instruct students about institutional racism. Instead, the program provided a case study of how radicalized forms of social-justice indoctrination can fuel antisemitism.

Earlier this year, Dr Ron Albucher, a Stanford psychiatrist and a former CAPS director, along with his colleague Sheila Levin, an eating-disorder specialist in the same department, filed complaints with federal and state civil-rights agencies regarding what they alleged to be “severe and persistent anti-Jewish harassment.” “Unfortunately, what we found was that the very program meant to help build an inclusive environment for all members of the Stanford community was, in fact, perpetrating the invidious discrimination it sought to eliminate,” wrote the complainants in an open letter published by the Stanford Daily last month.

Women’s and Gender Studies departments go all in for ‘Palestine’

It is grossly unfair to judge all police officers based on the actions of a handful like Derek Chauvin, all Black people from the behavior of Patrisse Cullors and Black Lives Matter Global Network, or all Caucasians from the actions of swastika-waving white supremacists like Andrew Anglin.  It is however reasonable to judge the fields of Gender and Women’s Studies, Feminist Studies, and similar academic programs from the endorsement by roughly a hundred such university departments of anti-Israel hate propaganda that denies Israel’s right to exist.  The Palestine Action Toolkit, from the same Palestine Feminist Collective supported by these departments, goes even farther: “78% of historic Palestine was stolen to create the Israeli state.  This catastrophe was greenlighted and supported by the United Nations.”  In addition, “There is Only One Solution: Intifada! Revolution!” and “From the River to the Sea! Palestine Will Be Free!”

Anti-Zionist Left Rallies to Defense of Controversial Biden State Dept Pick

Some of the country’s most prominent, self-described “anti-Zionists” are rushing to defend the Biden administration’s possible selection of a top Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) aide to serve at the State Department.

Following a Washington Free Beacon report last week on Matt Duss’s anti-Israel history, anti-Zionists including Peter Beinart, the Jewish writer beloved by anti-Israel activists, are coming to his defense. Beinart wrote in a self-published piece on Monday that Duss is being unfairly maligned by the pro-Israel community and Republican leaders because he is a Christian who cares “about the powerless and the abused, whatever their race, religion, or nationality.”
