BOBBY ORR: The Great One is a great Canadian who deserves our respect not criticism

The recent Four Nations Face-Off in hockey was, by any standard, an unbelievable success for the game of hockey.

Article content
The exposure it produced for our great game is a credit to all those individuals involved in its creation and implementation. Hats off to all the players who were so committed to their respective homelands and the game of hockey in general.

These were not mere exhibition games – these were games with great meaning. Congratulations one and all.

The people making a show of their patriotism for the most part are the same ones who shit all over Canada for the last ten years by supporting Trudeau and his useful idiot Singh.

No loyalty oaths here, no pseudo-patriots welcome.

Trump wants B.C.’s water: Plausible or one big pipe dream?

U.S. President Donald Trump has said he wants to make Canada the 51st state, threatening to use “economic force” to make that dream a reality.

He’s also signed an executive order to place blanket tariffs of 25 per cent on all Canadian imports that could start March 4.

One of the reasons experts believe Trump could be targeting Canada is its resources, including its critical minerals — and its water.

SULTAN OF OTTAWA: Climate Carney’s Brookfield millions revealed

A retired Canadian C-level executive, wishing to remain anonymous, has estimated Liberal leadership candidate Mark Carney’s wealth from his years with Brookfield Asset Management — which has ownership of coal infrastructure.

Carney has branded himself a political outsider despite also being former governor of the Bank of Canada and governor of the Bank of England. He worked extensively as an advisor to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and has questioned aspects of capitalism.

Steve Bannon says Canadians should take U.S. President Trump’s 51st state comments as ‘the greatest compliment you’ve ever had.’

Canada’s Arctic will be a ‘tremendous vulnerability,’ Bannon says

At the America’s biggest annual Republican gathering, Steve Bannon, former chief strategist to Donald Trump, is hosting his War Room talk show from the sidelines of the Conservative Political Action Convention.

Dozens of people surrounded his CPAC set to watch his broadcast and to snap selfies with the man who helped first install Trump in the Oval Office in 2016.

His show included chats with supporters of Hungary’s ultranationalist leader Victor Orban and “J6ers,” whom he heralded as heroes for participating in the 2021 Capitol riots. When the 71-year-old got off stage, he heaped praise on the president’s machinations to annex Canada.

10 years of denigrating Canada and mass immigration from incompatible cultures and they expect us to rally round the flag.

The inside story of Delta flight 4819: How a crash-landing in Toronto came within a single spark of being so much worse

Peter Carlson was going to be away from his wife and three kids for only a few days. He was headed to visit an old friend, a paramedic chief who had invited him to a conference in Toronto. By now, as he neared the end to an uneventful flight from Minneapolis, Carlson wasn’t far above Pearson International Airport.

Below, Michael Nolan was ready to pick him up. He was waiting, working away in his SUV, next to Pearson’s Runway 23. He didn’t pick up everyone from the airport, but for Carlson — the guy Nolan had met 11 years ago at a conference in Salt Lake City, and whom he considered a paramedic thought leader — he was willing to put in the effort.

Canadians Satisfied With Their Quality of Life Plunges Further

Canada’s sharp policy turns have dramatically impacted the quality of life. Statistics Canada (Stat Can) data reveals that most people are highly satisfied with life and that share was rising in Q4 2024… but only for seniors 65 and older. The general sentiment in the country continued to erode, especially amongst the critical demographics of Core Aged workers and recent immigrants. A brief period of predatory policies appears to be setting up long-term dest   abilization for the country’s economic future.

WARMINGTON: After cancelling Macdonald, Ryerson and Cherry, mob now after the Great One

As people line up to try to cancel the Great One, the hockey legend has Grapes in his corner.

It’s kind of fitting the man voted in a CBC poll as the 7th greatest Canadian has the back of the person from that same poll who was voted the 10th greatest Canuck.

I blame the Liberal Party and their media.

President Trump calls Justin Trudeau a ‘loser’ after Team Canada beats U.S. at 4 Nations final

Donald Trump is firing back at Justin Trudeau after the Prime Minister celebrated Team Canada’s win over the U.S. at the 4 Nations Face-Off final.

Following Canada’s victory Thursday night, Trudeau — who Trump has repeatedly referred to as the “Governor of Canada” — bragged over the squad’s 3-2 overtime triumph over the USA.

“You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game.

Canada Must End Foreign Interference on University Campuses

The Chinese philosopher Confucius is of course a household name for many. He may have lived 2,500 years ago, but many of his sayings still reverberate today. Here is a sampling relevant to the topic at hand:

“Study the past if you would define the future” and “An oppressive government is more to be feared than a tiger.”

In this country, some may be aware of the presence of “Confucius Institutes” on several university campuses and within school boards. These bodies, sponsored by the People’s Republic of China, were founded in 2007 to “promote the learning of Chinese language in Canada, to foster Sino-Canada educational exchanges and to improve the understanding between Canada and China.” Who could argue with such lofty goals?

BAROOTES: Blink all you like, you won’t miss a thing in Liberal leadership race

Oh, Canada’s Liberal leadership race — could it be any more fixed and favouring the few?

It’s like watching a rerun of a show you never liked in the first place. The contenders are all singing the same tired tune, obsessing over Trump’s tariff threats as if they’re the only issue that matters, while conveniently ignoring the real challenges that shape the Great White North.

Trade war: What do Americans think of their former best friends in Canada?

I’ll be fine with a few less Tim Horton’s blighting the land.

STRATFORD, NEW JERSEY — The closest Canadian stronghold to Donald Trump’s Trade-War-A-Lago is a bright, spacious fortress with plenty of free parking in the suburbs of Philadelphia, 230 kilometres northeast of the Oval Office. It is a command centre and commissariat where the True North is revered, the current American president is reviled, annexation will be strenuously resisted, and a Maple Dip costs US$1.81, tax included.

A bit ironic that the article features Tim Horton’s a foreign owned and long faded national icon known more for its substandard 3rd World service than as a symbol of “Canadiana”.
