Opposition growing to Trudeau’s dangerous censorship bill

The chorus of Canadians from all walks of life calling on the Senate to kibosh the Trudeau government’s censorship bill is growing louder by the day.

Last week, a letter from over 40,000 Canadian content-creators urged senators to reject Bill C-11 in its current form, sounding the alarm on what they see as a very dangerous piece of legislation.

Will China inspire Trudeau to expand fossil-fuel resources?

Much of the international news coverage of the Chinese Communist Party’s quinquennial congress, which wrapped up last weekend, focused on the ruling autocrats’ increasingly belligerent foreign policy.

Also, the way President Xi Jinping’s ruthless enforcement of his “zero-COVID” policy still has more than 200 million citizens under complete lockdown (no leaving their apartments, no ordering in meals or groceries), which is affecting international supply chains.

Our government functions beneath high-school level intelligence.

Lunatic environment minister slams oilpatch for making money and not wasting it on green-scams

Environment minister slams oilpatch for raking in cash and sitting idle on climate action

The federal environment minister is calling out Canada’s oil companies for failing to put cash behind their promises to tackle climate change.

Steven Guilbeault says the country’s major oil players have promised to do something about greenhouse gas emissions, but instead have funnelled most of their record-breaking profits to shareholders.

Our environment policy is made by petulant high school students.

Canada’s Liberals are an empire in decline with a leader in trouble

Under Justin Trudeau, the Liberals have lost many of the values and stabilizing influences that kept his predecessors connected to Canadians

Here’s a conundrum or a contradiction: Canada’s Liberal Party has won three elections in a row, yet it has been in long-term decline for some decades.
For much of the 20th century, the Liberals were the world’s most successful democratic party, winning more elections and staying in power longer than any other. They were “Canada’s natural governing party.” And yet, the Liberals retained power in the last election with the smallest share of the popular vote for a “winning” party in Canadian history. Polls taken since the last election, for what they are worth, show little movement in the Liberals’ favour despite tens of billions of dollars spent during the pandemic and a subsequent summer showering the country with announcements of fresh spending.

Ottawa urged to welcome 10,000 Uyghurs who have fled China

OTTAWA — MPs and advocates are calling on the federal government to resettle in Canada 10,000 Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims who have fled China.

But experts warn that could create diplomatic challenges for Canada, as Beijing puts political and economic pressure on Chinese investment in the countries where Uyghurs have been forced to flee.

Sameer Zuberi, a Liberal MP and chair of Parliament’s foreign affairs subcommittee on international human rights, called last Tuesday for debate on motion M62, introduced in February 2021, which proposes recognizing China’s treatment of the Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims as genocide. The proposal also called on Canada to offer 10,000 Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims refugee status starting in 2024, based on the risk that the host countries could detain and deport them to China.

No. Canada is full.

We don’t need to import any more foreign race wars.

Diwali riots and Khalistan rallies anyone? Al Quds Day? Chinese police stations in Canadian cities? More Laith Maroufs on the public payroll? How about welcoming home a few more psychopathic ISIS brides?

Muslim nations need to step up for the Uyghurs.

Canadian citizens cannot continue to be used as the world’s doormat.

Will Canada bar anti-India truck rally planned by Khalistani group?

The Justin Trudeau government in Canada is facing an unenviable situation as the Sikhs For Justice, an outfit that is banned in India, have announced to take out a car and truck rally on October 29 to motivate people to participate in the second leg of the so-called Khalistan Referendum 2020, slated for November 6 in Mississauga city. The voting for the so-called referendum’s first leg was held on September 18.

Looks like identity politics is really paying off for Junior.

Justin gets a deserved going over in the India press, pity the majority of our own media still kiss his ass.

Hostile countries, China and Russia are targeting Canadian activists, journalists, security agency says

Hostile countries, a group that includes China and Russia, are targeting foreign nationals and diaspora populations in Canada, as well as activists and journalists, according to the Communications Security Establishment.

“State-sponsored cyberthreat actors almost certainly” target those groups in order “to monitor and control these individuals,” Canada’s cyber defense agency said in a new report. The tools they use include “content monitoring on foreign-based applications, social media-enabled activity and espionage against individuals using spyware.”

We have Bigger Fish to worry about than Russia or China … The enemy within aka the Liberal Party.

More Canadians are turning to food banks than ever before, new report says

A record number of people used food banks in Canada this year, with high inflation and low social assistance rates cited as key factors in the rise, according to a new report.

The annual report from Food Banks Canada said there were nearly 1.5 million visits to food banks in March, 15 per cent more than the same month last year and 35 per cent more than in March 2019, prior to the pandemic.

Linda Godin, a 72-year-old living on a fixed income in Edmonton, is among those who have had to turn to food banks given the rising cost of living.

… Meanwhile, more than $500 million in overpayments were made to more than 100,000 employees, some dating back more than three years.

If the government doesn’t collect those overpayments soon, the auditor says, it may run out of time to use some recovery mechanisms because of legal limitations.

Chinese police operatives operating in Canada, U.S. says in new court filing

A recently unsealed indictment in the United States alleges that Beijing’s overseas campaign to put pressure on Chinese nationals to return and face criminal charges in the People’s Republic China includes enforcement efforts on Canadian soil.

These U.S. accusations have come to light about six weeks after Spain-based human rights group Safeguard Defenders alleged three of China’s more than 50 overseas police stations are operating in Toronto. China’s embassy in Canada has denied this.

Once again foreign nations, in this case Spain and the USA , are the source of information Canadians were in the dark about.

Emergencies Act Inquiry to hear CSIS evidence on ‘Freedom Convoy’ in secret

OTTAWA—A judge leading the federal inquiry into the Liberal government’s use of a special emergency law to end the ‘Freedom Convoy’ protests has agreed to hear evidence from Canada’s spy agency at a secret hearing.

In a ruling made public late Wednesday, Justice Paul Rouleau said the federal government asked for a secret hearing — behind closed doors and without other parties present — in order for his commission counsel to examine employees of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service on evidence related to the convoy protest that the agency claims is classified.

It all centres around evidence not yet tabled at the inquiry. And it is unclear what is the subject of the CSIS intelligence that the spy agency wants to protect.

What do they have to hide?
