SFU professor says he didn’t get tenure over views on diversity

A former professor at Simon Fraser University has lost a B.C. labour relations case where he alleged his views on diversity, equity and inclusion cost him a tenure-track position.

Josh Gordon launched a complaint in October 2022 against the Faculty Association of Simon Fraser University in which he said the teachers’ union acted in bad faith by failing to represent him robustly in his complaint against the university for denying him tenure.

I was persecuted for being a Christian, says teacher sacked over Connolly comments

A teacher who was sacked after saying Lucy Connolly was a victim of “two-tier policing” says he has been persecuted for being a Christian.

Simon Pearson, 56, was accused of Islamophobia after saying in a private Facebook group that Connolly should not have been jailed, and believes he would still be in a job if he had been accused of offending Christians and not Muslims.

The Fall of Ugly Liberal Chicks

I can imagine that headline getting a lot of people upset – you’re not supposed to call people ugly – but some people are ugly and everyone knows it. I’m not talking exclusively physically, though that’s a big part. A good-looking woman, for example, can be rendered completely unattractive if she’s stupid or, I assume, liberal (it’s never really happened, in my dating experience, as most liberal women could easily pose for “before” photos for any number of ailments and afflictions, so them being attractive is only theoretical).

Did we really have to make this D-list MAGA singer famous in Canada?

The continuing controversy involving Sean Feucht, the American Christian rocker and MAGA darling who has been denied permits for his concerts all across Eastern Canada, has become just dreadfully irritating.

It is irritating to watch Mr. Feucht’s critics conflate his opinions – on abortion (he’s against it), on homosexuality (he believes it is a perversion of God’s will), on the “trans agenda” (“demonic,” according to Mr. Feucht) – with the promotion of hatred, as defined by the Criminal Code. Hate speech is not protected speech, but not all offensive speech is hate speech. We as a society went over this, ad nauseum, during the peak of the cancel-culture furor around 2017 or so. Apparently we’ve forgotten what we learned during that time.

Pro-Trump Christian musician to play Alberta legislature grounds in Edmonton

A pro-Trump and Christian singer whose events on his East Coast Canadian tour have had to be moved to alternate venues after being cancelled is slated to play at the Alberta legislature grounds in August.

U.S. musician Sean Feucht has faced protests and cancellations this week on the first leg of his cross-country tour, which is slated to stop on Aug. 22 in Edmonton for a performance at the grounds’ south bandshell.

I’m not Feucht’s fan but I hate CBC and our Ugly Canadians even more.

All six Canadian venues cancel Christian musician Sean Feucht’s shows

U.S. Christian musician Sean Feucht is continuing his Canadian tour in spite of having to find new venues for all six shows.

The City of Vaughan, Ont., where Feucht was to have finished the first leg of the Let Us Worship: Revive in 25 tour on Sunday afternoon at the Dufferin District Park, confirmed to National Post that it had cancelled the special event permit “on the basis of health and safety as well as community standards and well-being.”

The Ugly Canadian is not a myth.

The Horror Of MAGA Musician!! He Spoke Out Against Critical Race Theory Says Far Left Extremist National Broadcaster!

Permit revoked for MAGA musician’s concert at Parks Canada site, but show will go on

Parks Canada says a U.S. singer and rising star in the MAGA movement will not perform at a national historic site near Halifax after the federal agency revoked the organizer’s permit, but the show is slated to go on at a new venue.

Christian rocker Sean Feucht was scheduled to play a concert on Wednesday night at the York Redoubt National Historic Site, a fortification constructed in 1793 to help protect the port city.

Feucht, who unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Congress as a Republican in 2020, is also a missionary and an author who has spoken out against the 2SLGBTQ+ community, abortion rights and critical race theory on his website.

Only the far left extremists of the CBC could write this with a straight face.

Ontario School Board Reinstates Council Member Suspended Over Land Acknowledgement Objection

An Ontario school board has reversed its decision to suspend a parent serving on a local high school council because of remarks she made about land acknowledgments.

Catherine Kronas was suspended from her position on the Ancaster High Secondary School council after she requested her “respectful objection” to land acknowledgements be recorded at an April 9 school council meeting, according to the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF).

A town tried to heal racial divides. It energized Confederate supporters instead.

EDENTON, N.C. — Confederate supporters arrived first, establishing a Saturday morning base near the town waterfront with “Save our history” signs and Civil War information sheets. Some sported red MAGA hats and shirts that proclaimed “America First,” or, in one case, “If you don’t like Trump then you probably won’t like me and I’m OK with that.”

The opposition showed up about two hours later carrying stark white signs with black letters: “Remove this statue.”

For the next two hours, as they’ve done nearly every Saturday for the past three years, the groups mingled with confused tourists in a seemingly unending fight over a Confederate monument at the heart of this historic town, which is nearly 60 percent Black.

I’m with the Confederacy. You should never erase history.

School councillor objected to one of those stupid land acknowledgements and got suspended by the usual Little Hitlers

Terry Newman: She objected to land acknowledgments. Now she’s paying the price for her heresy

An elected Ontario school board councillor has been suspended by her board for expressing an opinion about land acknowledgements. It was not explained to her the exact offence she had committed, or who complained, only that the opinion she expressed apparently caused harm.

Catherine Kronas was first elected to Ancaster High Secondary School as chair in 2023 and then re-elected as a council member in 2024.

KLEIN: UBC lawsuit lifts the veil on Canada’s divisive identity politics

Over the past nine years, Canadian institutions — egged on by activist groups and enabled by government — have embraced a form of social engineering that’s done real damage to our country. We were told it would make society more inclusive. In reality, it’s divided Canadians along lines of race, identity, politics, and belief. It’s undermined trust in our institutions, punished dissent, and created a culture where some voices are valued more than others.

French anti-migration philosopher Renaud Camus banned from entering Britain

‘They don’t want me to speak,’ says Renaud Camus who claims immigration will lead to ‘replacement’ of Europe’s indigenous people

A philosopher opposed to mass migration has been banned from entering Britain after the Home Office ruled his presence would go against “the public good”.

Renaud Camus, the French novelist, was barred from travelling to the UK to speak on immigration later this month.

The 78-year-old has warned that unchecked immigration will lead to demographic “replacement” of Europe’s indigenous populations.

You can bet that Carney and his pal the Mass Immigration Plotter Wiseman would ban Camus as well.

The Right Is Changing Cancel Culture’s Rules

For the past decade, the political Right has lamented “cancel culture.” The idea was that the Left unfairly stoked race and gender hysteria to restrict the terms of debate and to cast anyone deemed in violation of the mandated terms into a state of social annihilation. Teenagers who sang along with rap songs have been denied entry into college. Political figures who failed to use the latest euphemisms found themselves cast into the void.

Now, with the second Trump administration, the rules of social annihilation are seemingly being rewritten in real time. The presidential appointments of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Pete Hegseth might have been derailed, or not even attempted, in Trump’s first presidency. Yet, despite the salacious accusations against the two nominees, Senate Republicans held firm and confirmed both men.
