Jesuit diaries reveal the love Indigenous Canadian tribes had for the missionaries and Catholicism

In contrast to the insistence of some Christians today that certain pagan superstitions ought to be accepted in the name of inculturation — such as the “smudging” ceremony of “purification” practiced by native tribes in North America, in which the Pope will take part — the first indigenous converts to Christianity in Canada not only embraced the Catholic Faith wholeheartedly, abandoning all superstitions, but they esteemed the Jesuit missionaries so much that they entreated them to remain with their tribes when the missionaries were considering a return to safety in the French settlements.

Vatican tells its money men: you’re banned from investing in guns and porn

The Vatican will not invest in pornography or weapons under a new ethical investment policy that is part of Pope Francis’ efforts to clean up the Catholic Church following a series of scandals.

While there is no suggestion the Vatican currently has money in porn or other unholy industries, the new rules are an attempt to establish tougher principles and oversight in Vatican finances, where management has been chaotic and amateurish.

Pope to Appoint Women to Advise Selection of Bishops

Are the laity the future of ecclesiastical administration?

Pope Francis said in an interview with Reuters on July 2 that he would appoint two women to the committee to elect bishops in the Dicastery for Bishops. The announcement comes in the wake of the promulgation of a new administrative constitution, which allows any baptized Catholic to head departments within the Vatican. Previously, the committee was composed solely of clergy, including priests, bishops, and cardinals.

Hope it’s not Pelosi.

All Eyes on the Vatican After Cardinal Zen’s Arrest by ChiComs

… The arrest of a prominent Cardinal by the Chinese government raises some uncomfortable and delicate questions about the cozy relationship that Pope Francis’s Vatican has fostered with Beijing. In addition, one has to wonder if Zen’s own strained relationship with the pope—due in part to that close Rome/Beijing relationship—will result in a muted response from the Vatican about this outrageous act by the Chinese government.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò: ‘The New World Order Agenda Requires That Italy Should Perish’

“In the New World Order plans, Italy should succumb, be invaded by millions of immigrants, lose its Catholic identity, erase its traditions, and be sold off to foreign multinationals.”

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, an Italian archbishop and former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, has deviated from the Vatican party line on multiple issues. Most notably, he has dissented on many Covid-related matters.

The following video shows excerpts from an interview Archbishop Viganò gave to Dr. Armando Manocchia for the Italian TV channel “Canale Italia” on April 2, 2022. The Archbishop discusses the New World Order, the World Economic Forum, and the Great Reset. He also explains the attacks he has endured due to opposing Globalists and their New World Order.

Pope Francis: We Need the Risen Christ in this ‘Easter of War’

ROME — Pope Francis denounced Russia’s “cruel and senseless war” on Ukraine Sunday, praying for Ukrainian victims and refugees.

“May there be peace for war-torn Ukraine, so sorely tried by the violence and destruction of the cruel and senseless war into which it was dragged,” the pontiff prayed in his yearly Easter Urbi et Orbi (to the city and the world) blessing before a crowd of 50,000 in Saint Peter’s Square.

Pope Francis to make 3 Canadian stops in July to meet residential school survivors, sources say

Pope Francis is expected to visit at least three cities during a late July trip to Canada, CBC News has learned.

Sources involved in the planning of the trip say the Pope will likely make stops in Edmonton, Quebec City and Iqaluit during what is scheduled to be about a four-day trip to the country. CBC News is not identifying the confidential sources because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

The pontiff initially announced plans for the visit during his Vatican meetings on April 1 with Indigenous delegates from Canada, where he offered an initial apology for the actions of individual Roman Catholic Church members in Canada’s residential schools.

I wonder if Francis will participate in a ceremonial church burning?

457 years after the Great Siege of Malta, Pope Francis surrenders to Islam

Pope Francis, despite being the head of worldwide Catholicism, always seems to be apologizing for the faith.  In Malta, that apology extended to hiding the cross from illegal Muslim aliens.  This act of Christian cowardice was more poignant than usual, given that Malta, in the mid-16th century, was the site of one of the Catholic world’s bravest and most successful stands against Islam’s push to take over Europe.

Will the Consecration Work?

Presently, the Catholic world is holding its collective breath as Pope Francis embarks on yet another attempt to fulfill Our Lady of Fatima’s request to have Russia consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Those who believe the Consecration already took place under previous popes are biting their nails and thinking, “What if the trads were right all along?” while many of the traditional “Fatimists” are finding everything that might be wrong about the text of the prayer, writing it off as another failed attempt before it happens. And, there are Catholics who have no real clue as to what is happening.

Pope’s peace prayer for Ukraine recalls Fatima prophecy

ROME (AP) — Pope Francis prayed for peace in Ukraine in a ceremony Friday that harked back to a century-old apocalyptic prophecy about peace and Russia that was sparked by purported visions of the Virgin Mary to three peasant children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917.

Francis invited bishops, priests and ordinary faithful around the world to join him in the consecration prayer, which opened with Francis entering St. Peter’s Basilica before an estimated 3,500 people and concluded with Francis sitting alone before a statue of the Madonna. There, he solemnly asked forgiveness that humanity had “forgotten the lessons learned from the tragedies of the last century, the sacrifice of the millions who fell in two World Wars.”

Pope Francis’ Response to Ukraine Has Tapped Into One of Catholicism’s Deepest Conspiracy Theories

The Vatican announced last week that Pope Francis had invited all the bishops and priests of the world to “join him in the prayer for peace and in the consecration and entrustment of Russia and of Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” The prayer, which is to take place Friday afternoon, seemed on its face to be an uncontroversial sign of support for the Ukrainian people, but the news sent shockwaves through a certain segment of the Catholic world.

To the average person, the responses seem nearly impossible to decipher. “Holy Father, I am a little bit worried,” one person wrote on Twitter. “This won’t be a legitimate consecration either,” another scoffed. “Only Idiots think this Freemason will do the consecration,” said another. “It’s about time, but what took so long?” one asked. Others pointed to blog posts and videos that warned the pope’s plans amounted to a “globalist trap” or that “an anti-pope’s ‘consecration’ of Russia” would lead to dire consequences. What in the world was happening here?
