‘War is Real’: Defend Taiwan or Give It the Bomb

“The island’s society must be warned that they better not believe the ‘rock solid’ promise of the U.S. because Washington will never fight to the death with the Chinese mainland for the island’s secession,” the Chinese Communist Party’s Global Times proclaimed on October 14, referring to Taiwan.

The words, contained in an editorial, reflects the Party’s propaganda line, and that line almost certainly reflects the thinking of Chinese leaders.

Why it matters to the world if China delivers on its carbon targets

It has been well documented, most recently in last week’s International Energy Agency report, that the world’s governments have failed keeping up with their own climate change promises.

That is why as the globe prepares for the COP26 conference in Glasgow, Scotland, starting Oct. 31, analysts are watching whether the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases, China, is actually on track to meet its own climate objectives.

It’s pledged to have carbon dioxide emissions peak “around 2030” if not earlier, en route to net-zero emissions by 2060.

Yea trust China.

Exit of top public health agency official leaves questions on Chinese military involvement with high-security disease lab

Iain Stewart played a central role in government efforts to block publication of documents regarding the firing of two scientists from a Winnipeg microbiology lab

OTTAWA — The recent departure of the head of the Public Health Agency of Canada could stymie opposition efforts to uncover details surrounding a high-security microbiology lab in Winnipeg, where two scientists were fired earlier this year for undisclosed reasons.

China denies testing nuclear-capable hypersonic missile

China has denied reports that it tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile earlier this year, insisting instead that it was a routine spacecraft check.

The initial report in the Financial Times newspaper prompted concern in Washington, where US intelligence was reportedly caught by surprise.

Hypersonic missiles are much faster and more agile than normal ones, meaning they are more difficult to intercept.

It comes as concern grows around China’s nuclear capabilities.

U.S. Officials Sound Alarm On Stunning Chinese Hypersonic Missile Test: ‘No Idea How They Did This’

Communist China tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile late this summer that circled the planet before taking aim at its target; a test that has stunned the Biden administration.

“Five people familiar with the test said the Chinese military launched a rocket that carried a hypersonic glide vehicle which flew through low-orbit space before cruising down towards its target,” Financial Times reported. “The missile missed its target by about two-dozen miles, according to three people briefed on the intelligence. But two said the test showed that China had made astounding progress on hypersonic weapons and was far more advanced than US officials realized.”

China’s real-life Squid Game: How organs are harvested from THOUSANDS every week for a ‘kill to order’ market

Since it first hit Netflix last month South Korean horror series Squid Game has captivated audiences in over 90 countries, quickly becoming the most watched international show in the streaming platform’s history.

Viewers were enthralled by the blood-soaked dystopian thriller that pits players against each other in contests fought to the death for a chance to win cash.

And while the Asian drama is obviously fictitious and a pointed critique of modern life, one of the show’s side plots where human beings have their organs harvested and sold is very real.

Iran’s Mullahs and China Empowered Under Biden Administration

The Chinese Communist Party has openly been helping the Iranian regime evade US sanctions — most likely due to what reports have been referring to as the weak leadership and “top national security threat” of the US Biden administration.

This Communist Chinese salvage operation could partially explain why the ruling mullahs of Iran see no incentive to halt their nuclear program or come to the negotiating table.

Apple takes down Koran app in China

Apple has taken down one of the world’s most popular Koran apps in China, following a request from officials.

Quran Majeed is available across the world on the App Store – and has nearly 150,000 reviews. It is used by millions of Muslims.

The BBC understands that the app was removed for hosting illegal religious texts.

The Chinese government has not responded to the BBC’s request for comment.

The deletion of the app was first noticed by Apple Censorship – a website that monitors apps on Apple’s App Store globally.

Russian warship chases American destroyer USS Chafee away from its waters in the Sea of Japan for ‘violating international rules’ during Moscow-Beijing joint drills

Russia claimed one of its warships on Friday forced a U.S. Navy destroyer to abandon what it said was an attempt to intrude into its territorial waters in the Sea of Japan.

Video released by the Russian ministry of defense appears to show the moment its anti-submarine vessel Admiral Tributs closed to within 60 yards of the U.S. destroyer USS Chafee in Peter the Great Gulf, to the south of Vladivostok.

But the account was disputed by U.S. officials who said the interaction was ‘safe and professional,’ according to Fox News.

Biden’s Credibility Plummets over Purchase of Chinese-Made Drones

Nothing better illustrates the Biden administration’s utter incompetence in safeguarding America’s interests than the revelation that a number of federal agencies are reportedly purchasing surveillance drones from China.

The Pentagon has previously advised against US agencies purchasing Chinese-made drones on the grounds that they could be used to transfer sensitive data to Beijing’s communist rulers.

But now a new report by the Axios website claims that a number of federal law enforcement agencies in the Biden administration have purchased drones from China that have previously been labeled a potential national security threat by the Pentagon.

How Biden can save America

Could US supply shortages lead to war with China?

Joe Biden is starting to panic — and not just because of his dwindling approval ratings. More than 18 months since Covid struck, the shocking dependence of the United States on fragile global supply chains — and the corresponding absence of a functional manufacturing system — has been exposed.

The White House has responded with talk of creating more “robust” supply chains and reviving American manufacturing with its “Build Back Better” agenda. But if Biden is serious about addressing these issues, he needs to understand that this is a decades-long process, unlikely to be fully fixed during his presidency.

Terry Glavin: Canada needs a new ambassador to China — Dominic Barton must go

You could say that four days is not exactly a decent interval between Beijing’s release of Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor and Canada’s ambassador to China returning to his habit of loudly pimping for profits from greasy state-backed enterprises in Xi Jinping’s People’s Republic.

Canada’s China Class and the Liberal Party – there really is no difference.

Confronting the Supply Chain Crisis

” … For generations, business consultants have persuaded businesses large and small to move their production to China in search of cheaper costs. This has had a devastating effect, particularly in the United States, where between 2004 and 2017, the share of world manufacturing shrank from 15 to 10 percent while reliance on Chinese inputs doubled. The trade deficit with China, according to the Economic Policy Institute, has cost as many as 3.7 million jobs since 2000. The consequences have also been severe in the UK, which suffered 1.5 million job losses in manufacturing between 1997 and 2009, in part due to climate policies that threaten the last vestiges of heavy industry in the country that invented it.

In the face of these trends, the general response of the Western elites has been “Why worry?”

Good read.

Report: ChiCom Infiltrators of Conservative Party Association Spread Slave State’s Propaganda

‘Dangerous’: Chinese Conservatives Dismayed at Association’s Event Calling for O’Toole’s Resignation Over China Policy

Some members of the Conservative Party in the Chinese community are expressing concern about a public event held by the Chinese Canadian Conservative Association that described leader Erin O’Toole’s policy on confronting the Chinese regime as a “hatred message on China,” with critics saying it’s the same line pushed by Beijing’s propaganda.

On Oct. 7 Toronto, the Chinese Canadian Conservative Association (CCCA) held a public event demanding O’Toole’s resignation.

“Mr. O’Toole, your hatred message on China is dangerous as that would easily to be (sic) translated into ‘anti-Chinese’ message,” reads a news release in English handed out at the event, which was mainly attended by Chinese community press.

Liberal Party’s ambassador to Beijing urges Quisling China class to seize opportunities in communist slave state

By many accounts, Dominic Barton was deeply involved in the negotiations that freed Canadians Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig from Chinese prisons.

But as the crisis with China raced toward a surprise resolution last month, Canada’s ambassador to Beijing also took time to urge Canadian companies to mine the country’s business potential.

Soon Freeland will call for a Tripartite pact…
